He is looking leaner and fitter to me nowadays so he has improved but yes I agree he has suffered from this problem in the past. Great news. That must mean the real target is Cissokho Pardew has said a few times Perch is a CB and even has the confiedence to play him, even if it is in midfield, which makes me think there might be more to this one. I would love to see this lad play in a toon shirt.

For me it looks like he is carrying an injury. I recall him pulling up a while ago and since then he isn't opening his legs enough whilst running and looks like he has lost a lot of pace.
