  1. Dunno, like. £300m is a pretty fair price, meet halfway at £325m and everyone goes home happy. I'm no Ashley fan but £250m is a pretty bad offer for NUFC as it stands. Not sure how £300m being a fair price then jumping another £25m is meeting in the middle. Anyway, Considering the £100m min hole in last years finacial figures. I've based this on the lost £77m dropping into the Championship (£115m in the prem v £38m in the champo). Aswell as the £30m million Mike loaned the club due to religation. £250m seems more like a suitable valuation. Things need to be taken into account, First team needs massive investment over the coming years, The Academy needs growing and developing. This alone could be over £500m investment. Until we start to grow commercial that money whould have to come from a Good owner. The future TV deal will only help to swell player prices devouring any increase in income from the deal. So the growth the club needs can only be generated through commercial revinues. If you look at the Everton sale as a rough guide to values. I would say where behind them in terms of squad ability, aswell as the Finch Farm facility and there ability to bring young players through the ranks and sell for profit. There sale was for a 49.9% Stake at a sale price of £175m or £350m for the club. Are we really worth Ashley £380 asking price ?? If you look at the sky subscribers Ashley has his value more than right. Viewers at the match are one of the highest in the league, away fans also, check. Sky subscribers also up there as the best if not the best. Every angle covered. He has run us as a Sports Direct subsidiary like he has with every other company he has done the same thing to when taking over. He does just enough and I wonder how many Rafa's/Managers in his business he has done the same thing to when stepping over them?
  2. You sure that's the definition of a tackle on the stats you're reading? https://www.premierleague.com/stats/top/players/total_tackle Naughton and Merino must be shite like and that stat is official
  3. People need to understand the nature of a tackle. It's about taking the ball away with head, feet, inceptions, being in the place at the right time, whatever. It is stopping the ball being played by their own team mate reaching them full stop. There is a level of dealing with it but it is still tacking depending on heading ability, feet tackling skills, reading the game faster than the player it is being passed to, reading the game, being lucky etc. Yedlin ain't bad according to stats.
  4. Eh? If you Google the definition of tackling it has the very opposite meaning of what you just said.
  5. Yup and the fact when we were a goal down instead of passing the ball back to their keeper when they had put it out of play he kicks it out for a goal kick down by the corner flag so they can waste even more time.
  6. No idea if this is accurate but it's an interesting report on FFP. If you have players like Colback, Saviet and Mitro picking up wages and contributing nowt to the team there could be some truth in it... https://www.themag.co.uk/2018/01/wage-constraints-may-hampering-newcastle-united-transfer-market/
  7. Indeed according to this. The man's tightness is costing the club dearly... https://www.themag.co.uk/2018/01/wage-constraints-may-hampering-newcastle-united-transfer-market/
  8. your avatar just made me shudder a little He really is though
  9. Don't get too excited as he would need at least 3 Newcastle United's in order to buy back Sports Direct going off today's share price. Even if sells us he would need to have the cash off another two sales to fund it.
  10. Really! What did they say last season when we played 53 games in total (often 2 per week)? We had a bigger and better (comparative to the league) squad so we were able to rotate quite a lot. We don't have the squad to do that in this division. What has changed though? The players who have gone were played like never and we got others. My point is none of this squad should be tired as they played more games last year.

  12. Rafa will know we are relegation material so first thing he will want is not to concede and perhaps nick a goal at the end as we were doing earlier in the season to win games. A draw is still a point so we need to pick up these a long with some wins and our goal difference could be key come end of the season. If we just lose and lose we will go down so best to go out and get draws and perhaps wins to see us through. We had Liverpool on the ropes towards the end and Man City too so today the players let Rafa down. The front two and wingers were shockingly bad. Shelvey when he came on had to basically tell our strikers to move in to space when he could have played them in.
  13. He isn't a Leicester type player. He scores loads of goals via headers and is more Mitro plus lots of pace. With our wingers and set plays he would be better suited to our way of playing IMO. Having a player who is a massive threat up front rather than just a little one will give relief to our midfield and defence. It's our weakest and most unmatched area to the rest of the team. The offence of Man City for example who has offensive threat subbed a defender and basically allowed Joselu to win every header only to pick up the scraps of those headers to get possession back and then pass it to the extra offensive threat which is why Rafa had his tactics and then as the game opened up and they got frustrated took it to them.
  14. Slimani scores so many goals via the old winger/hit and hope way by his head and as we have an abundance of these deliverences' I would welcome this rather than another type of striker tbh.
  15. I'd rather play my ace offensive at the end to draw/win than go all out and be embarrassed with a humiliation otherwise. One nil to Man City is no mean feat, well done Rafa
  16. Yes he has been given no assurances. Read it again. He SHOULD know by now
  17. Nope that is the MD who should run the club in its capacity regardless of MA influence. You are there to do a duty to the football / business side.
  18. He got a shout from Darlow who knew where the goal was. The ball went out for a goal kick.
  19. Yup so it was intentional. The FA owes him a massive kick in the balls/wallet on behalf of Yedlin.

    Chancel Mbemba

Nah, he's a very good CB. Nah. Rafa doesn't rate him much there and neither do I. Rafa rates him he needs to learn the lingo and you can see now he is trying because he uses hand gestured to team mates as well as as talking to communicate so he is working in the 20 and 80% zone.
