  1. Over the five month period he was average imo - I would put him in the class bracket for a 3/4 games max. He's inconsistent - always has been. Find some stats to back up your claims Duo as he was productive as he has ever been when with us https://www.whoscored.com/Players/71522/History/Andros-Townsend. I also still stand by my statement that in the flesh, when we played Palace at home this season without their striker, other than Zaha who was the best offensive player on the pitch, Townsend was the second best player.
  2. Jesus - 80 big ones a week! Stoke will have to go up next season! We paid Shelvy that so that is their gamble We were a Premier League team then! We paid it in the Champ too

  4. Nasri? Get him pre season fit ready to go for his August ban expiry. Apparently loves or used to love footy Rafa obsession style. Background checks apply.
  5. In an ideal world yes but is he going to be happy with 15-20 starts at this stage of his career? He will be one of the first names on Rafa's team sheet due to his work rate a la Dirk Kuyt. He was playing when Kenedy was here and I dont think we will be paying £30m for Townsend.
  6. In November 2015 we robbed a result from Bournemouth which was one nil to us. They absolutely battered us but we won that day. Ritchie ran the show and tore all our senior players a new one with application and sheer determination but they did have a more balanced squad. When we signed him it made our effort 110% for sure every match and to me, if we bring in better players he will improve. I would keep him even if I signed a Kenedy or Townsend. He still has lots to give.

    Ki Sung-gone

Good move by Rafa and the club. Ki is a good PL player and if we get better signings with the rest of the cash, we will be a better team.
  8. His stratergy has and always will be to buy shares when companies are struggling. He does so when the share price is super low so he can increase his shares and also controlling interest in the company for the least money possible. If they fail he snaps them up on the cheap into his empire. He is doing this with Debenhams and has started with HoF. He would never prop them up as he wants them to fail so he cant take them over in the way he did with USC etc

Not quite any outstanding player payments are halved with Ellis if still owed and need to be paid.
  10. West Ham offered the asking price. That's how things tend to work... http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2018/06/19/newcastle-would-still-be-landing-bargain-if-they-meet-juventus-r/
  11. And then fucked off as soon as he could. He was good here, but he's been and gone, why should he get another chance to play for us? Simple. He only left so he could keep his England place. Its gone except Rafa almost had Shelvey and our Captain in the England squad this season so I guess playing for the manager that got you playing your best footy of your career and the fact two of our players were considered are a bid pull factor. He is also a very good player. And did he keep that place? is he? Based on what, certainly not his career so far. No I said he lost it but again Southgate has his picks and Shelvey should have gone at least as an option IMO. I watched Palace at home this season and other than Zaha he was the best attacking player on both sides. If they had a striker that day they would have won. As it happens a Merino goal saved us.

  13. Looks like limmy with HIV Add a splash of Wade Wilson too.
  14. People need to also forget the debt of £144m. Ashley paid off the mortgage on the ground due to a clause when he bought the club so the "debt" is mostly the actually stadium. To add some perspective the Fulham owner offered many times our "debt" for Wembley's 90k stadium.
  15. They basically knew they would take the gamble as in the future I believe they will benefit from tax free profits to the tune of the 50m loss which is apparently what Rafas budget would be this summer. Its nothing too bad as they are using the accounting rules to the benefit of the club.
  16. There's no board. It's just Ashley. TBF McClaren was thumb heeds and Carr's pick so they are part of the Board so to speak.
  17. The Board have only themselves to blame. They were the ones who hired McClaren then proceed to tell eveyone and the fans forum that we would not be relegated. Zero out of ten for corporate governance.
  18. Chelsea were poor today, most of their players failed to show up. No pressing, passing it about without much gusto. Not one of them acknowledged Conte during their subs but I am not surprised when he was dressed like Jimmy Saville in a blue 70s tracksuit.
  19. Not sure why we'd bother with that. Might get him on loan on the cheap for a season, a failed player looking for a new start. Right up Ashley's street that man. Isn't he out of contract anyway?
  20. Were in a constant shit run of form and occasionally raise our head above the parapet Are those are the words of Crumpy's students trying to pass their driving test? Obviously our resident world class driving instructor feels he is so famous he can plant criticism at our world class manager 'cos he once had a bad paella

This is interesting in the context that in league one their debt to revenue must put them way above any other team in world football surely? If what I say is true they are a high risk investment to anyone bank rolling them and as I understand it Short only has some bank rolling but the rest is a third party is it not? Alarm bells must be ringing now as their outgoings will drawf their incomings as far a liquidity is concerned. Imagine having to take a massive point deduction in league one
