  1. Rafa gave them a list except they started with C so now erm they have nowhere to go https://www.themag.co.uk/2018/01/rafa-benitez-confirms-press-conference-gave-mike-ashley-list-january-transfer-targets-still-waiting-newcastle-united/
  2. Richmond Boakye linked here... http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2018/01/27/por-prem-duo-battle-for-red-star-hit-man-boakye/
  3. Iirc it was reported that it's only payable if he takes another job within a certain period of time. Anyway my initial point was just about the confidence with which people declared Rafa would never allow himself to be in the exact position he's now in He might be in this position but he has played everything politically to his advantage. Let's public know last summer promised were brocken. Stated squad not good enough and then wasn't backed. Fans were angry. Then starts season and as expected we struggle and in January says he needs help despite getting us out of the relegation zone. Club let's it known he will be backed and Rafa says he expects something to happen. If nowt happens and window closes fans will go crackers at the club and Ashley. Rafa then has to get to the end of the season and if somehow we stay up will be lauded and if we go down he reviews his situation in the summer probably moves on for nowt and Ashley loses the gravy train yet again.
  4. Yup. Not a clue what Mitro has done, but he’s very clearly done something to irk Rafa. Good/bad is a bit of a basic way to look at it. I think it's much more likely that Rafa thinks he's unsuitable for us, but could be suitable to Brighton because of the way they play. Mitrovic simply isn't good enough for us to change the way we play to suit someone who's let us down time and time again with sending offs and suspensions - which is obviously the thing that's irked Rafa. I see this argument all the time - which would make sense if we didn’t persist on playing Joselu. If Mitro doesn’t fit our system, then Joselu certainly doesn’t either. I’m sure someone will point to Mitro’s disciplinary record now - so I’ll answer that anyway... when was he last sent off in a game? It’s a complete myth that we’ll go down to 10 men with him in the side because he’s not been sent off in recent times. If anything, Mitro would suit our system more with a bit of physicality in his game allowing players like Murphy the chance to get close to him. Whereas Joselu either loses it or taps it to nobody. Because Joselu doesn't get himself sent off and suspended and does as he's told. Whether you agree with Rafa on that is your choice, but I do. If he was good enough/suitable enough for us to put up with it, I'd agree, but he just isn't. The discipline argument is a completely valid argument, like. Not getting sent off during the odd 10 minute cameo isn't anything to hang your hat on and his disciplinary record remains a joke. Whatever argument for him playing is negated by that for me. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/aleksandar-mitrovic/ausfaelle/spieler/51152 He’s played over 1,400 minutes in 35 appearances since his last red card, so that argument is a load of nonsense. A load of nonsense if you conveniently ignore West Ham, which there's no reason to do whatsoever. The conversation is about getting sent off and going down to 10 men, did that happen? Howay man, just admit you forgot about it and it completely f***ed your argument If Mitro elbows you in the face but the ref doesn't see it, can it break your nose? I can't see what going down to 10 men would have done we won that game 3-0
  5. Elbowed Lanzini last September and missed a whole month
  6. That clause is no longer there this summer btw.
  7. Mitro doesnt help himself mind. In the cup when we got beat 3-2 off Forrest when he scored he turned to the bench with a shush and I am not sure if that was his last game/start. You will see his actions on the highlights video.
  8. Yup or we loan him out wait till he has a good World Cup in the summer and then get loads more money for him.
  9. Someone needs to tell Ashley to stop doing the Officers Club policy. If you see a price it isn't automatically deducted by 60% or whatever. I am surprised he doesn't have that Eisenhauer brand under his umbrella. He needs to understand some prices aren't discounted.
  10. Sigh, ok, in the premiership then: Mitrovic = 1 goal every 4 games Gayle = 1 goal every 4.7 games Joselu = 1 goal every 5.3 games So yeah, Gayle has more goals, but he's played more games, so your point is moot. Actually if you factor in that Gayle scored a lot of goals as a sub he scores a goal every 206 mins whereas Mitro scores one every 226 mins.
  11. Its a bit unfair to say since Mitro arrived he has 10 goals but then not say since Gayle arrived in the same competition he has less when he actually has more.
  12. Gayle has 18 goals in the PL. Edit not since Mitro arrived but he has more goals
  13. Yes basically if he signed could he play for us? Edit: A few members in here might have frequented some special cafe's in Holland already tonight
  14. Do red cards obtained in Holland carry over in the PL?
  15. For those wondering about his transfers he spent just over £11m per season at Liverpool whilst there which isnt to shabby if you ask me... http://liverpoolfc.wikia.com/wiki/Rafael_Benitez/Transfers
  16. The fat man is finally opening his wallet and we might end up breaking our transfer record to boot. Lets enjoy the moment I am sure this lad will put some chances away.
  17. Looks like he is a striker in the Bas Dost mould. Get him signed up before he goes to another team bangs in goals and his value gans to €40m
  18. Ronny Gill randomly picked this name as a replacement Stefano Sturaro. Its almost too random and Rafa has a past love for Italian DMs
  19. Nah understand how most teams play and you will know he won't get anywhere near them. Who are his new proposed buyers
  20. It's not so much instruction but the fact he isn't quick enough to break out from defence and attack quickly. His biggest weakness is pace and it matters most in this league (example of this failure was was Joselu's miss pass to Man City to being in our goal but they were offside - within seconds btw). No other team who is successfully slows play down. Joselu is not quicker than him though. If it was a footballing reason then we wouldn’t be playing Joselu, because he’s no better than Mitro. Eh if you watch him in the flesh you will see he is slow mate Think I’ve seen both of them enough times in the flesh to establish that they are both as slow as each other. He won't carry the ball like Murphy who scored with pace. In another league yes but not EPL.

  23. Welbeck could be a good option if Arsenal sign Aubameyang. He's vented off at the club today on twitter with Sanchez going to Man U.
  24. Dunno, like. £300m is a pretty fair price, meet halfway at £325m and everyone goes home happy. I'm no Ashley fan but £250m is a pretty bad offer for NUFC as it stands. Not sure how £300m being a fair price then jumping another £25m is meeting in the middle. Anyway, Considering the £100m min hole in last years finacial figures. I've based this on the lost £77m dropping into the Championship (£115m in the prem v £38m in the champo). Aswell as the £30m million Mike loaned the club due to religation. £250m seems more like a suitable valuation. Things need to be taken into account, First team needs massive investment over the coming years, The Academy needs growing and developing. This alone could be over £500m investment. Until we start to grow commercial that money whould have to come from a Good owner. The future TV deal will only help to swell player prices devouring any increase in income from the deal. So the growth the club needs can only be generated through commercial revinues. If you look at the Everton sale as a rough guide to values. I would say where behind them in terms of squad ability, aswell as the Finch Farm facility and there ability to bring young players through the ranks and sell for profit. There sale was for a 49.9% Stake at a sale price of £175m or £350m for the club. Are we really worth Ashley £380 asking price ?? If you look at the sky subscribers Ashley has his value more than right. Viewers at the match are one of the highest in the league, away fans also, check. Sky subscribers also up there as the best if not the best. Every angle covered. He has run us as a Sports Direct subsidiary like he has with every other company he has done the same thing to when taking over. He does just enough and I wonder how many Rafa's/Managers in his business he has done the same thing to when stepping over them? Yeah don't disagree with the point about the TV money and it's value to Sports Direct. But it has no value to Newcastle united or the Value of club, now if the club received the correct value in sponsorship for hoarding space (value at upto £40m per season)then that would add to the value of the club. It has lost £500 mil over 10 years if you read some quarters but the pocket it benefitted is Mr Mike as the main shareholder of a bigger company. We are a pawn in his empire. Simple.
