Worra cunt. Nah. Good words from the man.
  2. What will your reaction be if nothing happens Ian ? Or we bring in players that won't help with our problems at CB and CF ? Again not seeing any answers from you, just happy to criticise others that criticise the club. Is your solution to everything just to sit on our hands don't say a word, let them get on with it and then ho-hum not much we could do given the circumstances, when the envitable lack of investment happens ? If he's backed and we bring in the right players for the right positions, get a break in injuries, and we still play like shit and don't even look like we care - then I'd be astonished if there was a single person on this board that still backed him, including Ian.
  3. Really? That's not what the journo's are saying funnily enough, but there you go.
  4. Can't? Ah go on, at least give it a crack.

We've already signed one, so technically 2 more would make 3. It was 3-4 after Debuchy had signed. No. He's always said they were after a 1 - 2 and has not changed his stance in the slightest. The 3-4 quote was regarding avenues that were hotting up. Contrary to popular belief, we don't just throw all our efforts into exactly the number of targets we hope to bring in, there are always contingencies and ongoing discussions regarding a number of players.
  6. Spot on CP - Ashley and Co are just using NUFC as an advertising vehicle for Sports Direct. They will suck the club dry eventually, and destroy all the loyalty that fans had in it...I honestly believe they are going to be the ruination of Newcastle United by their actions..or lack of them. Suck the club dry? Chance would be a fine thing. He's put in more money than he'll likely see back after 20 years in charge, hell, he's got a job just getting back the loans he's currently not even charging interest on. The only other way to get any money out is to sell, and he'll not get anywhere near to what he paid if he does what you say and slowly cripples the club leaving it hovering between leagues. And hey, fuck only knows why they bother with the charity Foundation, or keep offering some of the more reasonable ticket schemes in the Premiership if they want to maximise profits. Honestly, I can understand people feeling the people running the club are evil incarnate, but they're not total idiots. Not at any cost, but it's in their best interest to see the club doing as well as it possibly can be, just as much as it is in all ours. They have made mistakes, and they may be doing things differently to how some of us would like (much like the government choosing austerity over investment), but to say their aim is run us into the ground is total unmitigated bollocks.

I suspect it has to do with Ashley living down there. According to the last article, it was Remy that requested it be done in London.

Let me help you out here. Primarily, you feel sorry for him. /beyond that, if we get nobody else in you'll feel annoyed, but if we get an actual decent striker in you'll not be bothered in the slightest and will actually look forward to him wearing a SMB tshirt under his top on derby day.

    Nice summary of the saga.
  13. Wouldn't mind that. Really don't rate him much and would add some fun for the derby games.

Hows about merging this fecker with the 'Other clubs transfers' thread....
  15. Is this a new thing? Over our history for the most part would it have not been a good or reasonable target?

Malaysian betting syndicates. Long odds on them staying up.
  18. True, they might end up like Leeds.
