I haven't seen many, if any, offended that he's just going for the money. It's that he is going to Queens Park Rangers (for the money) that is offensive. If someone from L1, or the Eredivise moved to Airbus UK (for the money) rather than the Premiership, they'd get the same reaction. But if it amuses you.....
  2. Ah, I just couldn't imagine it not being there. Yes, the circus of money, agents, corruption, agents, FIFA and the FA is beyond tiring... But as you say, its more than just a great game; It's an extension of the city, an outward expression of us as a region and there's still plenty to be proud of and show pride in through our support.

Makes pretty grim reading that. The text of the report suggests that that was in the Championship. The year before that you were 63rd, which would have been about a 40Kpw average. What text? I think the figures are from the 2010/11 season, when we were back up. Swiss Ramble (http://swissramble.blogspot.nl/2012/03/newcastle-united-life-in-northern-town.html) has roughly the same figures: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-GD4P0rhmO2w/T2hAJj3JJmI/AAAAAAAAFcg/sXBXt61En_Q/s400/23%2BNewcastle%2BWages%2BLeague.jpg That's because that's from the 2009-10 season as well. f*** me, unbelievable. Aye, amended my post as just noticed the note at the bottom. I seriously doubt it is currently much lower though, especially with Ba gone. Will be interesting to see the nest set of accounts with regards to this. Actually, is that not just the ones with a star next to them? I'm confusing myself now.. Yup that got me. Flipping stars. But yeah, your first figures were from our Championship season. The first season back we hardly brought in any stars either tbf (not sure how much we contributed to HBA loan wages). Would love to know what our average is now.

Yup was from the 2009-10 season. "the most recent available data at the compilation cut-off date for the other football leagues, most recently from the 2009-10 season. This report does not contain any football (soccer) data from the 2010-11 season because it was not available to us"

Reckon old sloppychops simply gives an incredibly comfortable blow job. There is simply no other explanation.

Well, when you put it like that I'm inclined to agree. Have to admit to being quite honoured to be the quickest stepping stone in football history (again*). * Hai Modric

Fuck this world. Harry fucking Redknapp. If we have a nemesis... It's him. Warra cunt.

That's partially true, but if so, what approach works other than "have more money than everyone else?" the only thing that will work is lower your expectations and accept a championship club. Ah, thought you might offer a decent solution, but no, you're worse than Ashley.
  10. Blatter on his booing at Wembley - Yes but they applauded me like a hero in Newcastle. He really is such a self centred prick.

    Alan Pardew

Considering his numerous bust ups with the likes of Bellamy etc etc, I'm pretty sure John 'The Cleaver' Carver doesn't need anyone else fighting his corner.

Balls. It's all just a ruse by the club to say they'd tried.

Wasn't his car though was it - Thought it was some mackum player?
  14. I can see why people would want Perch in there when the only alternative is Obertan. Honestly I would be tempted to play Ferguson on one of the wings but I don't think Pardew would play him unless he has no other options at all. Quite rightly. The lad has been disappointing every time I've seen him make it onto the pitch this season imho, both for us and the national side.

Just helping Amalfitano order dinner - who happens to have come in dressed as Zwarte Pieten for the day. Pardew was using Amalfitano to communicate with Debuchy the other day, so while I have no doubt the kid likes blacking up, I'm not sure your explanation is 100% on the money.

Yup. Him strolling across a dry and temperate tarmac from a small jet. Either it's a bullshit clip, or both the airport and Remy himself are immune to the weather. Or it was yesterday. Or indeed this.

  18. http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/football/premier-league/transfer-rumours/130114/newcastle-target-set-udinese-exit-189220 Yeah, sounds more like Talksport have just come across the quotes and then tried to link him with an English club. 2/10 Highly unlikely.

Hatem in La Parisien today - "I want to help my team and my coach, with whom I get along great. We really want to fight for him."

I fully expect this excuse to be used on here if we pick up a few wins. Arf. /tbf happy to let it slide if we actually do pick up any wins any time soon...
