Saying what? I'm guessing here, but - 'Newcastle bid €6m plus sell-on fee for Debuchy'?
-
If he has been disappointing then I don't think we should be too upset to see him go. Good luck to him.

Fucks sake. Sick of this now.

It wasn't Shepherds fault that the fans didn't back Robson. We all had concerns, but I was standing there giving support on the lap of honour and there was a stream of disgruntled so and sos walking in front of me saying fucked if I'm staying to applaud this lot. I was one of those saying that we should look to replace Robson early that summer or back him, but I was shocked by the attitude that we deserved better than him and the team that day, and I think it set the wheels in Shepherds mind turning.

We cover all costs and receive nothing. In fact the club has to pay many hundreds of thousands back to Sports Direct in compensation for loss of stadium coverage.

How far can you see? Until the status quo changes. A day after tomorrow.

Danny Simpson is our right back for the foreseeable future.

Bugger. Kept saying I had spares on here but nobody seemed interested. In the end sold them for way less than half price last Friday.

West Ham agree fee in region of £15m with Liverpool for Andy Carroll
BottledDog replied to Pilko's topic in Football
Not really he's never been a good footballer, he was good at being on the end the type of attacks we built during that time span but he was never a good footballer. Also he's been awful for longer than he's been good. This is the type of thing I'm talking about. He was immense for us in 2010, you must have been in a coma during that period and compensated by having a flick through the book of football cliches. What Ian W's saying is fair enough but comments like yours are ridiculous. He's had a bad time at Liverpool but will be a good Premier League player. He was good for 6 months and he's been awful the rest of the time. I have to believe it was a flukey run of form as in nearly 2 years since he hasnt come close to replicating the form not even once. I realise he was really good in those 6 months when he had the entire team built for him, but before then and since then he hasnt shown anything to suggest it wasn't just a flukey run of form. 6 months? He got his first team debut at 17, was awarded the Jackie Milburn pot, after scoring against Juve a year later he was given a big up by Buffon, when we went down he became first choice and top scorer, he was given the number 9 shirt and every man and his dog expected big things for him. He lived up to the hype, looked absolutely unstoppable at times, and became the most expensive British footballer of all time. I'm still pretty sure he's got more about him than just getting the rub of the green for half a season. -

So we give up on a long term target 5 weeks before the deadline closes? He's clearly our first choice so I'd rather he came on August 31st than our 2nd or 3rd choices coming on July 31st just because we can't sit it out a bit longer. Very short sighted. Our second choice will quite possibly make a much better contribution to the balance of the side than Debucy.

Think it may be time to get a better camera?

Support the team down the road then Are they signing Debuchy? If so I can see a lot on here being tempted to switch. Even yourself no doubt! /perfectly understandable if you do of course, not having a go.
-
If that happens the club will have hit a new low. There´s NO WAY we will take a top 4 or 6 finish with a mighty Raylor as a starter. Even if it not might be Debuchy (how dumb can you be if we can´t get him?!) we must buy someone else. 'kin 'ell.  This is not particularly new news, and hell, for the haters out there this could be pretty positive news. No heavy mention of Simpson suggests that he may well be off. If we are able to bring in a better replacement like Debuchy, we will. If not, we have a contingency plan.
-
Still not official? Blatently doesn't want to be here if that's the case. Time to fuck this guy off and move onto other targets.
-
Gary Speed rated him as the standout Welsh player, higher than Aaron Ramsey etc. So, yeah. Personally think he's a terrific player and can see why they'd pay a decent wedge for him.
-
Good thing you're not in charge of our transfers then. At least we would get players for positions we actually need them. No we wouldn't, Santon's a left back, let it sink in FFS I'd be happy as a sandboy to see Santon continue on the left and bring in someone like Debuchy, but I think the managemet and Santon himself might argue with your claim. He has already said that he was told that this season he be used more on the right, something which he seemed very pleased about.
-
Blame ATB. I'm fairly confident that if we don't get in this Debuchy fella then we'd be switching focus and get Santon out on the right (as he has said he's been told will probably happen) and bring in this Anita lad or a dedicated left back. Hell, I'm not even that opposed to giving Simpson a last year if the core of the side is retained; though I'd be staggered if we just allowed him to run down his contract. Whaaat

No, you can only pick up reserved tickets from the Official Half Price West End Ticket Booth just off Covent Garden, London.
