I really hope he does get it right in this period, but I don't quite understand how he has earned your trust (and others faith) considering the signings he made at West Ham, or his efforts before and during the last transfer window. Fingers crossed like, but if you talk about getting your fingers burnt in the past, maybe setting your sights a little lower might not be a bad idea. /then when Ronaldinho does actually pop up we'll all be laughing. bluebiggrin.gif

I will reserve my judgement until August 31st 2007. By then i will know more about Roeders ability to construct a good squad. BTW panic buying = Luque - now that could start a thread! You could say that Roeders only 'proven for the money' signing so far has been a panic buy. /A considerable panic buy it seems now that we know he spent just one frantic hour (after presumably being told of his availability) calling people up to find out about his character, before buying Sibierski.

bluelaugh.gif This forum is great. They say laughing keeps you young. Keep 'em coming...... Even Souness could beat Chelsea in a cup game.

Given!?!?! I thought we had already established tonight that he barely deserves a Caramac, never mind the captaincy. tongue.gif

Swans? Cough? Cranes? huh.gif

Supermac for the Toon!

How can YOU say anyone is an idiot. Exactly; it would be a bit like... frolicking in a field full of daisies and buttercups. Oooff, I can feel the shock waves from that one. blueeek.gif [edited - just in case]

How can YOU say anyone is an idiot. Any reason for YOU to make things personal?

Jabbers on about buying Drogba before the game, what do you expect. He seems easily overawed. Yet again, his tactics and substitutions CAN be called into question. /Nothing kneejerk. Hope to fuck he learns.

Just have to start playing decent football again, and challenge a nationally despised team.

Take it easy Francis. Yes it's pretty cringeworthy, but at least it could be seen as marking us out as being a little more passionate than most. I'm certainly not bothered one bit what some Fulham or City supporter, thinks about us because of it.

Orang yang membaantu penghidupan NUFC? Setia, gila secali, dan terlalu mabuk... munkin. /God only knows if that makes sense, sorry.

Well I'm sold. Edit: Gah the zip file containing the tunes is broken. God has forsaken me. bluecry.gif Edit part duex: S'all good they have sent me them unzipped. Suck it Mike Judge, top idea for a good cause.

Eh? Can you point out the quote that 'undermines' Shearer because I'm not getting that at all. He seems to be trying to be pretty diplomatic from where I'm standing. Although only hinted at in the interview, his point that the team needed to move away from purely focusing around Shearer was always fair (if slightly suicidal), and was something Robson also eventually struggled with. I just got the impression that he was talkin about shearer like he wasnt really anything special. "i played in europe at the highest level", is a kinda im more than he ever is or was attitude. I just think there is a bit of bitterness in what hes saying. at the same time tho the reporter did try and put the words in his mouth! Fair enough, there is certainly bitterness and regret that his drive to change things in his eyes fell on deaf ears, and I guess he is just clumsily saaying that his past glories as a player should mean that the team should have respected his ideas a bit more. Good to see that he recognises that he was hamstrung by being utter shite at handling his players.

Stupid Idiotic Blabbermouth (aka Shepherd) at it again
BottledDog replied to James's topic in Football
definitely mate he has done a fantastic job in the state he finds his resources in i dont like him as a bloke but you can only praise what he is doing at the moment tonight at chelsea you will see a team at its roots but he will still go for the victory and play with passion that is what i call a true manager I hope I'm due a whoosh. bluebiggrin.gif Going for the victory and playing with passion has been missing from by far the majority of games in the league this season, and (while willing) I havn't been persuaded that Roeder defines the term 'true manager' quite yet either. -

We accept you, one of us! Geordie Geordie! /obscure? -
Was Thierry Henry famous before he signed for Arsenal?

One of the few thing I can muster up the effort to reply to. Agreed. -
All Roeder would say today was: "Seppe Rossi was at a funeral for our last Premiership game and, of course, Manchester United did not want him playing for us in Europe. But he is available again tomorrow and I am delighted that he is - and he should play some part for us." I'm sure Furguson will be delighted.

I played on with Damaged ankle ligaments for about 20 minutes and have been out for the last 5 weeks. And how is that comparable to a cut?

Eh, if they were told all this when they were "with owen this summer", how the Devil did he foresee the Pearce effect back then? He's a decent footballer like, but...
-
I reckon he thinks he's Arnie tbh. Have you seen his hair? I bet he wears a black biker jacket and jeans when he's off duty. Slicks back his stack with freshly squeezed gorrilla glands and probably scares the crap out of Terry Mac... which is no bad thing to be fair.

Not big. Not clever.

Fair play to Pearson if true. Looks a right grumpy bugger (considering the opportunity he now has after his last few clubs) but considering the personel and the little time he has had to work with them we look a much more solid unit these days.
