  1. But.. but... Roeder's one decent quality is that he is a good coach right. bluewink.gif

    Bramble Injured

"Certainly reports saying that we are offering James Milner and Stephen Carr in part-exchange for Bent are not correct, because both these players are very much in my plans." Twat. " ...no decision has been made on any player we will be trying to bring to St James' Park" Good to hear. Best not to rush these things.
  3. It's not big, and it's not clever.
  4. I know, I'm still waiting for Shepherd's apology n' all. Zing! /was just backing his manager and thus absolved from all responsibility.
  5. Shhh man, he is suposed to be undercover so that they won't realise we are interested in the player when we errr... start negotiations. bluedead.gif
  6. Yet another touchline bollock dropped with Taylor last night. Get on that course Glenn and learn some sodding basics.
  7. Anyone else get the image of some oaf pawing at coins with his knuckles. Brilliant. bluebiggrin.gif

  9. Just for arguements sake, If Luque were to get the run of games that a big summer signing such as Martins gets, do you not think as a player with a certain degree of skill he could at some level start to adapt? I'm only asking purely hypothetically, as he has not started a single game in the league this season under the new manager, nevermind being given a run of games to build up his confidence and fitness. Roeder has stated in the last week or so that he has been professional in training and one assumes that means working hard, and his attitude in interviews has until very recently been a frustration at not getting the games to bring him into the swing of things, being able to show his worth to the team and supporters, or indeed to his national coach. But while it is easy to dismiss him on past efforts, I'm willing to accept he can change games with a good ball or a goal and in his own way he has shown effort, even tracking back substantially more effectively than say Robert might have done in the past. Now that, Dyer and Martins, and hopfully the Zog are pushing on then hopefully we don't need him, but can you understand the remarkably vitriolic utterings from people who could not accept him as an option when we were stuck in the slump? That's what gets me. The fact that some folks cannot even contemplate him as an option, much the same way Viana, Bellamy, and Robert were scapegoated even when it was clear that at times we could have used them to far better effect rather than getting all emotional about it. Duff has also shown that he can be a top player. As a Roeder signing Im sure he will be given time to get back into the groove (hopefully not to the detriment of N'Zogbia), and while it may be overly hopeful, for me it has seemed a bit of a waste for Luque not to have been given a similar opportunity.
  10. Really great to see some attacking football. Hats off to the lot of them, I hope they can build on this. blueyes.gif
  11. Madness. For me on a shitty fans/club criteria out of that lot, Everton, always Everton... and City... and Tottingham, Boro, Arsenal, Liverpool, West Ham etc. etc.
  12. Presumably went to some kind of hairdressers. Arf.
  13. Impressive under the onslaught to see a post that doesn't sink down to the level of calling people mongs and cretins. Honestly, the way some seem to get worked up over others wishing to to at least see the manager aknowledge Luque as a possible alternative to a crippled Shola and a misfiring Duff during our bad run (and at least try to shake up a midfield and attack scoring sod all) is a touch bizarre. It's almost worth voting in these polls solely to see if Gemmill's head explodes with the frustration.
  14. Heh, I wish I kept some of my old sticker books (slightly earlier days and I'm not sure it was all down to a love of the club or civic pride back then. Hell, I bought some Wolves wristbands as a kid cos I thought they looked cool )

    Luque song..

Sorry, I was a bit over the top on the swears (beers). The sentiment remains if only I could sodding remember what I said.

    Huntelaar

I got the impression that we were after a target man in the summer. Nothing surprises me about Roeders fuckups/retarded lies/Sibierski.
  17. That's not how you argue or prove something though. You can't say "because no one has proven me wrong I must be right". If I bang on with some nut theory about all Venezuelans being trained to invade mexico in 2012 I'm not right just because no one's proven me wrong. If you believe there is no correlation between success and TV money then back that up with something. However the TV revenue on http://www.nufc-finances.org.uk/profits2.htm in our 4,3,5 th placed years really blows the 13,13,11,11 years out of the water. Now granted I'm sure there's been reworking of deals but I fail to see how you can go on and say there's no proof that more success brings more TV money in light of those stats. Add to that the quote at the bottom: and it becomes even more clear that money, least of all TV, is clearly tied into success on the pitch. And that's just the league. There is about 12% chance that that will get through but nevertheless, well said Thomas.

    Injury List

Academy fella Adrian Lamb was promoted. Who knows if his old job has been filled yet mind.
  19. Hoo what, are you for real? /off for a beer to celebrate this mad world.
  20. oh right thanks. there are some unprofessional remarks there considering lee clark is so high in the club he shouldnt admit openly as to how bad olivier bernard is should he? good to know that we are being linked with the right players though wayne bridge is a world better than babayaro! Roeder made a worse fucking joke about Boumsong in his last talk in. I'm amazed nobody has taken a swing at Oliver yet.
  21. Nice one Kitman. My lesson for today is be positive, don't be a cant.
  22. Well, we'll see what Roeder has up his sleeve, but an even thinner squad? I doubt that would help us too much.
  23. ..... I bluesigh.gif..... What do you want for £1m? In terms of fee paid, he's been as good as we can expect imo. Incidentally Roeder thinks both of them are wonderful, two of our best players in fact.. That's what pisses me off - who the f*ck is he trying to kid!!! Consistently sh*t maybe! Fine, he was cheap so maybe we shouldn't expect much but I'm damned if I should put up with hearing the spin cr*p that Roeder keeps blethering about good performances! His wages are far from cheap.
  24. That's odd, you said it was £400,000 a few hours ago, what's changed?
