  1. no it would be 60 mill of his own plus 40 of a bank Then it would be a £100m offer not £60m. yeah sorry, wasn't thinking. could be 40 mill more when we get promoted What i was thinking. Probs £20m when we go up, and £20m within the next couple of years for when we stay up. Means Ashley gets his cash eventually and gets out now. That kind of deal should be bringing in better people than Shepherd though.

  3. Guessing its £60m upfront with it topped up to £100m So that's us £40m in debt to Ashley before we've even started. I want a bidder who can pay it all off and rebuild, i certainly don't want this cretin back with finances to worry about.
  4. Well it its an actual bid and its been accepted it might be nice to run it in its own thread for a while. Thought i reckon it will be denied by the morning and merged anyway.
  5. I don't think it is optimistic, either, City will pay the fee regardless how stupid it is. 12m for Barry with one year left on his contract, I assume Lescott has a while to run on his, and as you say, Glen Johnson for 18m, Bridge for 13, 15 for Toure, that kind of puts it into perspective. It is the right sort of figure, but only because Man City have sent things so fucking mental. This is all heading for a very, very bad place. You're both probably right tbh, mental fees all of them. Dave: £6m for Given, blame Given for that one, he forced himself out of the club refusing to play.

Basically because since we were relegated it should have been all good, positive stuff about having a good time at some different grounds and coming straight back up. We should have drawn a line under the bad times and concentrated on the future. There hasn't been one good piece of news so far, and we currently have no future. Ashley really is turning this in to a cracking contest as to which regime has done more damage to the club.

think the possibilty of doing a Leeds, is growing closer. Leeds will wave at us as we pass by them next season if we carry on.
  8. Yeah, he's been quite decent for us the past two seasons. He sat on the bench for a good while, but had a very good run in the team as we were fighting through the league. He big (like 6'4-5), but not particularly talented or graceful imo. Still, he has wonderful fight and spirit about him. Disappointed the club is letting him go without even offering a contract. Great player to have on the bench, though not as a starter. Don't think it would be a great move for him though. Lescott, Yobo, and Jagielka are all better. Oh, I was under the impression he's primarily a right back that can also play centre half. Is it the other way round? I think Lescott will be off once City offer enough money to us. I reckon his head will be turned by stupid wages. Yeah, it's the opposite. However I don't think he has the quickness/nimbleness to play right back in Ligue 1, so I'd imagine he'd have difficulty in the Premiership. With the emergence of Baines and Jagielka, I don't think Everton would miss Lescott too much btw. Ok. Thanks for the info. I think Jagielka is probably better than Lescott and Yobo is a decent player to come into the side but Lescott is still one of the best centre halfs in the league regardless. If we get £20m+ for him then it won't be too bad. Around half of that will have to go on a replacement immediately though with Jags out 'til November at least. Then Yobo and the new guy can fight it out to partner Jags. £20m is a bit optimistic like. (though i hope you get as much as you can out of them) I think they'll go elsewhere at that price imo.

Shut up man. One demonstration by the fans left a lasting impression which meant that the players were s**** for 9 months? Hadaway and s**** (or any other solicitors in the North Shields area). The players let US down, we were there singing loud and proud on the last day of the season. The fans turned up, the team unfortunately didn't. Hey moron think in casuality manner because of that Demo the club hire incompetent manger and was on sale for the next 4 month with all the uncertainty. That is a fact and we all lost many important points during that period. Good for you to sang the last day of the season but it won't create a chance and a goal all that screamin. Unfortunaitly for human beings only negative things remaine in ppl minds... Actually hurts a little to read that. I agree in a way, the demonstration forced Ashley to panic and put the club up for sale, but the guy should have had thicker skin and a bigger set of balls and rode through the storm. Were a passionate lot (well used to be until he knocked it out of us) especially when things go wrong, he's watched enough football to know that.
  10. If i were a player i wouldn't even report back to training until there's a manager in place and an owner, till then i'd tell the club to fuk off, even if it is the club i support. Bloody shambles. I know its adding more fuel to the already raging fire, but FFS, this is beyond a joke now.
  11. Can't blame him for leaving by the start of the new season if we haven't sorted our house out, just hope he can give us that long. If he moves he needs to think hard about where to, not just taking the first shitty offer and going for a low/mid prem club or to a second rate league, because there really is no point in a years time if were back in the prem. At least if he stayed here he'd be captain and become a well remembered well thought of player who stuck by us when the times were at their worst, whereas he'd be a good player in a mid team for a year or so. I'd rather be captain of a club like Newcastle than a squad player in a team like Wigan, even if were currently in different divisions, and I have a sneaky suspicion he'd feel the same, if not fair enough, we'll just have to get on with it and replace him.

If this was an everyday business it would have mysteriously went up in flames by now.

KK walked though, he wasn't sacked, in fact Ashley tried to bring him back and KK refused. Tough s*** if KK didn't like Wise, it doesn't make him entitled to £8m of the clubs money because he cannot put personal differences aside, he knew someone was going to fill the role, he said so himself. Ashley paniced coz his mod fkd up and he new KK would have him for a fortune, he was not willing to give KK what he promised him when he took the job, so no deal was struck when they met in London for talks. God forbid something changes in the work environment. If everyone was like KK we'd all be unemployed as soon as we got our hours changed, or a expenses restructured or moved to a new location or job position. Really though, it was more to do with the fact he didn't like Wise having a say on transfers than money spent on transfers; KK honestly thought he could walk in to our club being out of the game for a while and take control top to bottom with a man that only knows him on reputation. KK needed to work in the setup and let his authority grow day by day as he was getting it right, not demand all or nothing at the 1st barrier, businessmen don't work like that, they think with their heads and not their hearts, and the result was KK Vs Ashley, Heart Vs Head and no one won bar the mackems.

If there hasn't been were are screwed completely, we'll certainly not recover this season anyhow.

I'd tend to agree, though it has been a snag in the back of my mind throughout this, then i was hoping KK would sue Ashley rather than the club, obviously it doesn't work like that but with no mention i thought it might have. Just shows there are as much hidden pitfalls in this takeover than the amount FFS left for FMA

I think we should all go and ask to manage this club from top to bottom, Chairman to kitman we all get a position to do. What would yours be? Think we should hire Bluestar as shooting coach after his epic goal in a field of mud at the weekend
  18. How much do we get for him? He's under 24 and requires a fee.
  19. Going for the lot, Jesus the thick cunts. http://www.sport.co.uk/news/Football/22222/Sunderland_set_to_make_move_for_Lovenkrands.aspx (load of shite site) Sunderland want to get another one over Newcastle by signing Peter Lovenkrands. The Black Cats have been laughing at their north-east rivals since the Toon's relegation and manager Steve Bruce wants to deepen the gloom on Tyneside by signing the Dane on a free transfer. The 29-year-old joined the Magpies from Schalke on a short term deal in January but his contract has now expired, paving the way for a move to Newcastle's neighbours. Bruce has £50million to spend following Ellis Short's takeover but is said to be keen on midfielder Lovenkrands so he can spend his cash on overhauling his strike-force. And agent Ivan Marko Benes says Lovenkrands is keen to remain in the Premier League. "I think we will find a good club for him. What does he wish for in his future career? He wants to stay in the UK and preferably at the highest level possible," he said. Bruce simply has herpes, you cannot deny it bent nose. http://www.sport.co.uk/public/images_news/2009/6/24/AI_BRUCE03102008.jpg Please inflict more misery on us, take Barton and Smith, we'd be heartbroken.

No, but Ashley think they are. Ashley isn't a manager. You might want to aim your blame at the men who decided to bring them in. Where have you gone mate? I speak to him mate, he's just so depressed by the toon he can't be arsed with this place anymore. Well as long as he's ok apart from the obvious, tell him i send my best.

  22. Any news of a fee? Should be over £3m imo.
  23. Bunch of sad bastards; lets not follow suit by making threads about them lads, have some respect for yourselves. :-[
  24. Again logically a great idea, gives him the experience and honour. There's no point giving Butt the job since he won't be here in a year imo, or will be on the brink of the squad, just like when Rafa took the band off Hyypia and gave it to Gerrard, he wanted a settled captain for years to come and we need the same, Beye can be our Hyypia in the respect and Taylor our Gerrard. - I am not comparing their talents whatsoever before the wankers jump on that comment, just the pattern of captaincy promotion.
