I've just come back from one.

Yep, these lot look good and he'll sell it to Bin Laden if he gets an extra mill out of it.
-
Seems far too good to be true, we couldn't ask for anything more could we? "We will look to give Alan money to spend and funds to build his squad - and we have to say now that we are massively interested in highly paid players - we will be a Chelsea." Then it's far too good. And lead us back to here? No chance, i'd rather build solid foundations instead of building a palace on top of a swamp. It did indicate that they'd be interested in big players in the future, not now, sound plan imo.

Hopefully it's more a case of them taking their time looking through the book first, rather than struggling to get the money together. Has anyone start 'due diligence' or whatever the posh term of looking at the books is? Don't think so yet, but if they're now as tidy as Mort/Ashley/Llambias have continuously boasted, you'd think it wouldn't take all that long. Point is are they are still looking for the cash and not doing due diligence? Cannot see how us at £100 debt free is a sticking point...if we are debt free and Ashley has wiped off the loan debt. For anyone but the ultra-zillionaires £100m is still a hell of a lot of money mate. It's not like they can just go to the cashpoint and pull it out. There's a £300 limit anyway. *Pictures Freddy Shepherd running to every cash point in the Country.

*wets self* Thought we'd just done that? To appoint Alan Shearer as boss and back the Geordie legend with transfer funds to help the Magpies fight their way out of the Premier League Shearer manager, funds to restructure, football people in charge with links to the club no high earners....yet (meaning possibly when were back in the prem and established and not jsut to get us there and sit) expansion cap to 60k That will NEVER happen, and if it does then relegation has been worth it.
-
*wets self* Ditto. Will never happen, hopes high, reality low, let's remember who were dealing with.

Tbh if a new owner cannot raise £100m to buy the club apparently debt free then i'd rather not have them here the tight arse bastards. We want someone with at least a bit of financial manoeuvrability especially if we want to bounce back 1st time of asking and stay in the prem.
-
Did that ever happen? I remember talk, just cannot actually remember if being confirmed by the club.
-
£1m for duff and minus his wages. We should start a 'NUFC Good news thread' and when things like this come in as confirmed and signed put it in so we have something to smile about while were waiting for the club to be sold.
-
Thought Martins was on a relatively low wage compared to others? Keeping him would be great either way. Any player with a good rep and with a chance to desert but stays is a legend in my eyes, they could easily be a dirty rat like Shay Given. But we'll see who's here by the close of the window and start of the season, would like to think Martins will be one of them, can't see it though.
-
Pellegrini. When was this announced? Edit: Found it, though SSN's haven't updated their site. So Pellegrini with Kaka, Valencia & Villa? Not bad.
-
Strangely enough can see us making money on him.
-
You better be yanking me mother fuking chain mate. I'm not sure if its £2m but he will get a 7 figure loyalty fee, for staying the duration. Part of his contract, when he'd expected to be off after a year or two. Fuking hell man, that's just criminal. Hope he waves the fee for the sake of his health as i might just have to break his legs.
-
His decisions are not punished as much in the DMC role, it would have been a good way to break him in to English football after it was evident he was struggling in the CB role. He can tackle, just takes too long to decide when he should, for me too much pressure on him. A season in the DMC role and i reckon he would have been excellent for us in that role. My main problem with him is his lack of aerial ability for a CB; it was non existent.
-
Not so sure about that. He looked abysmal in the role when he played there. He looked abysmal as a CB no doubting that. If it ever got a chance: Beye---Taylor--Bassong--Enrique -------------- :colo:-------------------- Would have worked well.
-
Little harsh on Shearer. He's got no input. Ashley has blatantly cut him loose! If Bassong moves for £5m to Sunderland or a deal equally as s**** when Shearer is on holiday, Shearer himself whether he becomes boss will kick himself as being potentially the only person to stick up for the club and he's gone away. You seem to think that Shearer has the run of St James's park. Who says he can get past security? Shearer is meant to be back from Portugal today so I don't think a long weekend away is going to do much harm. I hope that's all it is, and i hope he's straight back in there finding out what's going on and still showing the club direction since Ashley has abandoned us. If not all the horrible things were all frightened of happening will come true, if we don't have someone fighting our corner during all this were going to be living a very real nightmare for the next several seasons, more so than we've had already.
-
He'd have made a cracking DMC and should have been used there when management realised he wasn't up to the job of being a CB, which for me was about 5 games in.
-
Asset Management company? Sounds a little, how do i put it, like they are going to strip the heart out of the club. Still, probably be years before we catch up to them.

What could he do to stop them anyway? He's not employed by them. He could still be around the club, in talks demanding who's not to be sold, and who needs to go, whether he's manager or not he knows what needs doing, they don't. His advice over the past few weeks now means nothing as out of mind out of site, they did the same with Keegan, again, another one i was right about when everyone thought everything was hunky dory.

Someone really needs to post that email link on the RTG site. The dumb fukers deserve all the stupid and funny abuse they can dish at them for that. On another note, i reckon the forum should send them up ourselves, fake sheik etc...
