Triple heart bypass - quite severe like. Guess several senior players are going to the hospital to visit Joe and while they're there find out what a heart is.

Be funnier watching Viduka Vs Geremi though.

If you listen carefully, you can hear the world laughing at you...while that van that's always parked outside your house...its MI5 Don't eat cheese, its made of Alien spunk and the delivery man cums on your kebab. In other words; stop smoking weed, its making you paranoid.

I thought he had no balls? Shocked you didn't start a new thread to say that. Oh and Shearer hasn't got the balls to manage us. Other teams however... You're only saying he doesn't have the balls because deep down, you'd love it if he said yes and are desperate for him to manage us. Its like your way of saying "I dare ya" Partly yes... being honest, most it it does stem from that.

It makes sense. How can we stabilise the club at minimal cost and upheaval? Joe, go along with this will you. He's been their mouthpiece over everything else, why stop on this? He's doing what he's told, surely that was everyone's opinion anyway? This is just another part to play from the board.

I doubt any club would come out and release a statement saying the manager is lying which will undermine him. I'm not sure what will happen but I wouldn't be surprised if him and the club have agreed to part at the end of the season but they will let Kinnear say it was his decision to walk away with his head held high. While in the meantime having a manager who isn't just a temp helps the club start stabilizing.

This is fantasy imho, i would like to believe it but god no. So the players that arrived in January they are going to be over the moon for the new employers to have lied to them. Ashley when he took the club off the market he had time to appoint a manager before January. He didn't. There are no big benefits of lying to supporters, players, whole nation so you can attract Kevin Nolan and Ryan Taylor. Love it how you made this thread as i wouldn't reply to you in the Q&A and now only reply to my comments. Obsessed little man aren't you? mackems.gif It was brought up a few times on that thread not just that instance. Many people seem to share your opinion, so what you complaining about. The fact you call my opinion 'fantasy' or 'Delusional'. Just accept i have a view, it doesn't match yours and there's no point trying to get a rise out of me by being a tit about it. You have an opinion sure i don't get how you can be 99% sure of it or as 'good as certain' that is all. Required some explaining to be honest. I would like to believe it but don't buy into elaborate conspiracy theories. I think i've got a solid opinion about this board, most of which cannot be proved until it happens. But like the summers fiasco, i called it months before happening. Again just a hunch from what i've seen, but think this is what is happening - no proof, no one has any either way, just opinions. I respect others not having the same, it bothers me not, i have my own, some will agree, some won't, but i had all this bullshit aimed at me in the summer when i was telling people something was wrong, and that it wasn't smoke without a fire over Ashley/Wise/keegan and transfers, and got called worse than shit about it. A Side issues but: I also believe when it comes to court, KK will come out looking like a dick - again it cannot be proved until it happens. KK is nowhere near as smart as he thinks, and these bastards legally are classes above him and do their business lacking emotion, KK cannot do that, impossible for him too, and when it all comes out, he'll not just lose financially, im worried for him how much face he loses from it as well. These statements back it up, they won't talk about it, they don't have to curry favour, they don't need too, KK either totally lost it fistycuffs stylee or he knew of the DOF appointment; it was written in his contract and hasn't a leg to stand on. Back to JFK, i'm 99% cert he's gone, before his health problem around 70% this was the case, but even if its not, he's gone on these grounds and any potential contract (im am wrong) will be retracted by now.

Think Villa have been the most unambitious shitbag of a club the premiership has ever seen...until Randy & MON came aboard. Never like the club, found it dull, boring and pointless, just a non entity. Totally different story now. Young, pacey, English and fighting above their expectations, taking chances on players and working to a plan. Credit where its due, and Villa have my backing to go on and win something and be the 5th best team and beyond. Glad they have the other clubs fans backing to take on the top 4 as they are doing it with style and professionalism (just like we were doing so many moons ago)

Good as gone. He's not good enough for the club, but the only man to step up right now. If Ashley wants to stay and make a go of it he's gone. But in the meantime we need to back him to the hilt and that's all the contract offer story is, just a smokescreen to attract players in the transfer window just gone (think of the timing), and to give those here someone to fight for and to be their manager without thinking he's gone or he's going at the end of the season. We've all said we've got no stability; the club is trying to give us that.

http://www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10278~1551966,00.html Colin Tips Kaz To Make First-Team Impact By Craig Hope NEWCASTLE United coach Colin Calderwood has backed Kazenga LuaLua to reproduce his scintillating reserve and youth-team displays on the senior stage. The 18-year-old was once again the star of the show for the Magpies' second-string during Monday night's 5-0 mauling of Wigan Athletic at St.James' Park. And, while the Congolese-born trickster did find the back of the net against the Latics, it was one second-half assault on the visiting backline which had the home fans off their seat as he came close to producing a goal-of-the-season contender. Firing a quick wall pass into the feet of Frank Wiafe Danquah, LuaLua raced onto the return before dancing by two blue-and-white shirts inside the penalty area.

Venables rejected the job before JFK took over, why would he want it now? And more importantly why the fuk would you want the fuker here?
-
Agreed with that. If the players think he's a dead man walking (pardon the phrasing) then they won't play for him, they'll be looking to the next manager (like when FFS daftly told the world SBR was going at the end of the season and the players thought fuk this, why both?) It's also no surprise this contract offer was announced during the window to show stability to potential players coming to the club. JFK will be gone in the summer, 99% sure of that.

If the NUSC weren't getting so much press coverage with their demands for communication from the club you can be sure this interview would never have happened. This communication has come about because the club was taken off the market and that they would make statements when January was out of the way. Nothing to do with NUSC. Correct.

It's no wonder Shearer stays away. He must be laughing the likes of Adams, Ince & Keane (he never got on with any of them) jumped in to management and have effectively ended their careers at top level before its even begun. Even with Keane goading Shearer in to management, Shearer's stayed out, stayed on the outside of football looking in, and if he does decide to come in to the game, watching it from another angle for a while should surely benefit him in the future. Maybe its best for footballers, especially high profile players to give the game a break for a bit. See it from another angle and start enjoying the game as a fan again and falling in love with it from a totally different perspective. Other semi pro players or players cut short due to injury can make their name by rising through the ranks and that's fine, they've earned their spurs, but when it comes to household names coming in to management its best they sit it out for a while as this sink or swim policy is drowning a locker load of big for player to managerial names.

http://www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10278~1552155,00.html Nile's Toon Tally Tips Twenty By Craig Hope NILE Ranger has now taken his Newcastle United goal tally to an impressive 20 strikes in what is still his maiden season on Tyneside. The 17-year-old Londoner capped a memorable night for the Magpies' Reserves as he slid home their final goal (above) during Monday's 5-0 mauling of Wigan Athletic at St.James' Park. The effort was Ranger's sixth for the second-string which, combined with his 14 at youth-team level, chalked up his 20th in black and white since joining the club during the summer. Indeed, such has been the striker's rapid progress that he has now made the first-team substitutes' bench on three occasions although he is yet to make his senior bow.

But surely could balance it out on his wages saved? We spend £10m on replacing Owen with a young hungry and fit player, paying the lad £40kpw (£8m) over 4 years or resign Owen for £20m over 4 years, whilst 'He'll still be injury-prone. He'll still be getting older, slower and less effective.' and worth nothing in the end. Also the new player still retaining value. It makes sense for the club to rid us of Owen, but lets hope Ashley sees that the replacement fee can be incorporated in the money saved from keeping Owen on whilst still having a sellable asset on the books. Also, £8m? Isn't that just the money rolled over from this window, did he say that's all we've got to spend?
-
I wouldn't think so. I think in the summer we will make every effort to get rid of a good number of players who just aren't worth what they are costing the club, and this will allow for more money to be invested on top of the £8 million currently sitting there. Many thought that would happen last summer. And this January. The problem is, someone else has to want them. And we've given two of them nice new contracts. We could still get money for Ameobi, even if its £2m or so, while Butts contract is hopefully reduced at his age, it should be. We can't though. He won't leave. If Butt's contract is reduced, why didn't we reduce it to the point where he left anyway - getting us out of the enforced contract? He might if he's told there's no future and a prem club came in. I meant a reduction in wages. When his initial contract was signed he was offered a wages for 4 years, then because he'd be in his 30's another year was added but that is at a reduced salary, say 25% off, if he wants to take it. At the time we were signing a very good Nicky Butt from Manu, we needed to offer him a good deal in to his late 30's, i'm guessing the contract is arranged as such, it might even be the same for Viduka. I meant wages too. I just can't get my head around such a wanky deal. Whoever thought that up wants shooting, I don't care how good he was when he joined (not that good anyway). A lot of deals were structured like that a while back, can't see why its changed. It stops clubs having 33 year old ex amazing players on £4m a year. Wenger does it, offers one year reduced contracts for those over 30's, some take the hump and leave, others realise its a good deal at their age and stay. In fact Butt has signed a deal since coming here hasn't he? makes even more sense imo.

Giving Shola a new contract is daft iyam, but I don't think they had any choice with Butt did they? EDIT: Unless you mean Harper No idea on the Butt thing, I still don't buy us not having any choice in the matter. What, so the deal and wages were already agreed years ago? Seems mental. Its probably a reduced salary but a year extension which is up to him to take.

Possibly, unless Ashley bank rolls the difference. I think buying upfront and selling in instalments is the only way to get the club out of this mess. Upfront means the prices are lower and there's no hidden charges or things to pay in the future, while selling in instalments means we get more money, and in some cases will be the only way to offload some of the shite, and this gives us a continuous flow of income over the next few seasons no matter how we perform (on or off the pitch) As long as Ashley puts up the difference in a none interest loan, which im sure he would in this case, then its sound business for the club.
