    Amr Zaki

Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez has confirmed he is checking on Wigan star Ami Zaki, after the African hit-man scored a memorable double at Anfield on Saturday. The Egyptian striker has taken the Premier League by storm this season with seven goals in his first eight game making him top scorer in England's top-flight. He highlighted his form with a brilliant brace at Liverpool, which included a stunning volley at the Kop end. Wigan signed the forward on loan from El Zamalek in his homeland and they always stated that they had secured first refusal on him. No deal However, in recent days, Zamalek have insisted that they will sell the player to which ever club they want, and Manchester City are already thought to have made contact via their new Abu Dhabi-based owners. "We will have the right to sell Zaki to any club," Zamalek president Mamdouh Abbas stated. But Benitez, who looks set to be in the market for a new front-man come January, has intriguingly admitted that he will also be taking a close look at Zaki after his outstanding display against the Spaniard's side on Saturday. "Everybody will be checking his situation now," Benitez admitted in The Times.
  2. I am not worried about this chap it his pal Jo against Colo in the air that worries me more. I'd be worried about Wee Man in the air against Colo nevermind Jo.
  3. are they incorrect? I copied off glory-glory without bothering to check myself. ?
  4. Its the highlight of our season tbf.
  5. Hope Corluka is ok. Nice to see Dawson get a run out. mackems.gif
  6. Sacked in the morning....you're getting sacked in the morning.
  7. Bale really isn't a defender like.
  8. Not seen it in action (yet) but 3q's seems about right and a great idea for the forum. I won't miss the pyraminds. PS: Dave was driving around Monza in a Ferrari Enzo blindfolded when he thought this one up.

  10. The 28-year-old is rated as one of the best goalkeepers in Germany and is on the verge of an international call-up. However, the former Kaiserslautern shot-stopper is set to take advantage of the fact that he is free to talk to rival clubs in January. A lot better than what we've got bar Given from that report, get rid of My Average at the end of the season and bring in some real competition for Given. Sounds like a good plan to me, saying that no owner ready to put money in or a long term manager will see him end up elsewhere.
  11. Saw him play against Wales the other night, fuking gash. Looks like he weighs around 4 stone and defends like a moose on ice. Got stand out hair though, he'd fit in well in our calamity back line. :colo:
  12. 5 weeks holiday at the start of the transfer window wasn't enough (couldn't give a shite then about being in charge of transfers then were you little Kev?) for him obviously he needs compo! And he needs it fast!
  13. Newcastle West End until i was 8, then Whitley Bay for the rest of my life bar a brief spell in Finland. Do i win anything?
  14. 'Help me Anil Ambani, you're my only hope'
  15. Because he's not fat and he's not lazy? He does get criticized for his poor decision making and poor 1st touch.
  16. What's to celebrate? I'm delighted Jiminez has gone because he was part of a failed recruitment regime, Wise should have been sacked on September 2nd too. Really can't wait to see the back of him. Be careful what you wish for. You may have cause to look back in a few months and be thinking that Ashley's tenure here was a golden era of enlightenment and good management by comparison with what could be around the corner. I'm with Platini on the state of English football - if we get sold to another foreign interest group that's another nail in the coffin of English football, never mind just NUFC. Ah, but...let's celebrate it anyway, eh? The last two English owners and the last 4 British managers haven't done us much good. Neither has "fan power" either, tbh. Nothing has, and probably never will. We don't know what is around the corner, but we know this street has come to an end and there's no turning back, so closure as it is inevitable and necessary its needed by all involved at the club.
