Xisco & Owen looks good enough, Viduka should be nearing a return, and Martins' is a quick healer. As long as SMith is injured we should be ok. Its the rest of the numpties behind them and the arse on the sidelines which is the main concern.

Think the soap opera here would be right up his street... That would actually be brilliant.

I'm not saying the fans are fully to blame but some need to look at themselves. Remember that vitriol that Allardyce faced after only a few months (Liverpool at home)? Managers, especially in this country, will have noted something like that. I'm not saying the fans are perfect and have acted with complete dignity throughout this. But put it this way, nobody was against Ashley until Keegan felt he had to walk out. Well, apart from NE5. Most were at least content with the way we were moving forward, on and off the pitch. The fans are NOT responsible for the mess we now find ourselves in as a club. ERm...short memory i think. Just because the click wasn't again it, and that any doubt was disregarded with absolute sheer twatness, doesn't mean it wasn't there.

Again, could see this one coming a mile off. For now, its our best option with KK being a brat, Ashley wanting to sell, and the future totally unkown.

Couldn't get to see it, but the result was inevitable.

MON only ever does 5 year stints, so he wont be there for much longer.

Sure 'we' are Michael. Let's see if 'we' are still together this time next year eh?

Ashley basically got a decent offer from some cash rich arabs wanting to take the club to elite levels and rejected it as he's looking for a poor unstable consortium to take the club to the depths of hell while he invests in his beloved club Tottenham drinking non alcoholic lager in the stands, celebrating a fine demolition of a half decent rival.

Kenny Dalglish has dismissed talk linking him with a shock return to Newcastle United. Recent reports have suggested that the former Magpies boss was among the candidates to replace Kevin Keegan at St James' Park on a short-term basis. Newcastle's hierarchy are searching for a new manager following Keegan's controversial resignation earlier this month. Dalglish, who spent less than two years in charge at Newcastle between January 1997 and August 1998, has ruled out any return to Tyneside. "Nobody from the club has contacted me and I won't be returning," Dalglish told the Evening Chronicle. "It's sad that things have gone wrong at Newcastle, but the next manager will not be me."

A buyout fair enough, but the return of Keegan is NOT the way forward. Too much water under the bridge..... three times would be a total joke. I hear what you say about getting the place buzzing again.. but until when? I don't think he was the 100% innocent party in this fiasco - yes, he was made to look a fool, but Keegan is Keegan, and he's ALWAYS ran away when the going gets even slightly tough. If he loved this bloody club as much as he harped on about how he did, then he catergorically would not have walked out, knowing the state this team was going to be left in. He is to blame too for this, although not in the magnitude that Ashley is. Lets face it, as the dust settles, its becoming obvious that it WAS a masterstroke getting Keegan back, but only in the sense that it got season tickets sold, which im convinced was the only reason he was brought back in the first place. Its time to cut the cord and move on - with new owners in place it becomes a bit brighter of a proposition for managers. Its time to stop being so pathetically patriotic, and get a tactically sound foreign coach in - basically what we were crying out for ever since SBR left. That would have been perfect at the time (when he left) but its a very different club right now.

Like last time (and every other); is the time really right for Shearer? Can we take a gamble? Rather take a gamble at the near start of the season with a new owner than later on where the pressure really is on. No doubt Shearer will make some bottling (running (pun intended) trend with so called toon heroes these days) excuse why he can't, such as he promised Gary he wouldn't leave him by himself with two gimps on a Saturday night.

oh f***. the chance of a black hole is now greater with this. if this line of thinking merges with the old board/new board stuff i fear the whole internet will collapse in on itself to a point that doesn't exist in space but with a mass great enough to punch a whole through to dimensions where the most bizzarre is real (think mackems in milan). Hawkins will steal that if you don't copyright it asap.

What's the difference between having a Middle-Eastern owner and a Nigerian owner? I really don't care as long as they're rich and not thick. But they are not rich, not in terms of financing a football club, they are still looking for the buyers fee. Like every consortium has to, surely? I think what TT's saying is that if they are having to scrape around for money to buy the club, how will they finance transfers and the like? http://www.dotbingo.com/images/bingo-card.jpg

What is this thing that we have with expecting that Keegan always has to sacrifice his happiness in place of us fans. Yes he might love the club but why should we expect him to be unhappy just for our benefit. Were expected to sacrifice our happiness to support the club.

Laugh if we cost the Spuds another manager two years on the trot.
-
no, we are complaining about the situation ahead of it. And thats because we can see it . Blind optimism is what you are talking about, rather than reality. both. Its a defence mechanism so it doesn't hurt for some, while others can see it, warned of it, and were laughed at by the rest while they were sucking Ashley's & Keegan's bumhole all summer long.
-
(if true) This would be terrible, trying to scrape around for funds to buy the club, nothing left to spend on it to fix it. Almost as bad as Ashley, though he's got the money and doesn't spend it being a tight cunt that he is, at least you could hope he might one day stop being a Scrooge McCunt.

You've been here two years, no excuse whatsoever.

He hasn't even been manager of Wigan for a year FFS, stop jumping the gun when a manager hits a slight bit of form. Jesus Christ.

Ah well, a roof over your head in a strange city is sometimes worth the shame. You want to suck on Steve Bruce's bent nose, shame doesn't come in to it you dirty whore!
