40 pages were about him joining us, another 10 pages getting over/ accepting defeat & discussing why when he wasn't coming.

A challenge for Euro spots.

Think we should whack a £10m bid on for Bent, i think he's a good all rounder who hasn't had the chance to shine at Spurs, he's get it here. Much better option than the crock Ashton.

So KK saying they haven't entered negotiations means what then? I only remember Keegan saying that he wanted Owen to stay. Did Keegan actually say Owen and Newcastle haven't started talking yet? Yes. Any evidence of that? Yes there is, go find it. There isn't and you know it. Try google you lazy fuk.

I'd want more than £2.5m for Duff and i'm sure we'd get more as well. Duff & Smith for £8m, that's more like it.

Nicely summed up and I agree. Taylor reportedly just wants the same as Milner & Zoggy which is the 25kpw mark.

I'd rather have Dunne, Taylor and Faye as our 3 main centre backs fighting for places That's it like. I've got no problem with competition, and i think Taylor needs a season at least as a young squad player, to take it all in and learn from someone, Dunne would be the one for me, and if Taylor can force one of them out, fuking excellent on him. He's never had that and it shows in his game, we've relied on him far too much.

I think it would be a travesty. The best youth player to come through in how long? I can't remember the last player who is as competent at this age as he is. We need to stick with him, its cost us nothing and he clearly has something and will only get better in a settled team. I don't want to go through this again but in terms of his education he's been screwed over by this club from day dot, anyone can surly see that and the problems it brings with him. He's only one man, he cannot change a match by himself even though he wants too, he needs the senior players to take responsibility and help him through the early years, shame he's never had that or we'd be seeing a more complete player than what we've got.

amazing comment, considering the amount of foreign tosspots we've had that don't give a monkeys for the club. I think that he's getting the stick because he's a Geordie giving 100% and so fans think he should be signing a new contract for nothing. No one thinks that. You're just being daft now. Well, I think its true. I can also assure you that in my case anyway, I'm not bigging him up because he's an honest geordie giving 100%, although such a quality isn't to be sniffed at. You think Geordies and Newcastle fans in general think Taylor should accept a low wage because he's a Geordie 100%-er? Sorry, I don't follow your logic one bit. how many people have slated him for his contract demands A lot of people have a problem with him being the local 100%er, no doubt about it. They think because he is that people rate him higher than he is so they have to take strips off him to compensate. Damned if you do, damned if you don't, the lad doesn't stand a chance with fans like ours. Give over man. The fans were singing his name at the match. The only stick he gets is in places like this. It's true this place contains loads of cockends. You're unbelievably touchy about the lad Having a pop for the way he went public was fair enough imo. Credit where credit's due though, he's done well lately. But how was going to the press, particularly when the club was in the shit, about his contract not going to get criticism? Especially when he was struggling as much as anyone on the pitch? I say it how it is. His father was wrong to make his mouth go to AO, it happened out of frustration, the lad just wants to sign up for life, like any supporter would. He (Taylor) has gone as far as getting rid of his dad and to get an agency involved, which is the correct thing for him, but its now going to cost NUFC more in the long run, they are now dealing with a professional outfit and with him in his last year now, over a barrel springs to mind.

No contract has been offered yet.

Ashton injures himself every time he takes a shot at goal, no ta. Crouch i would consider, he'd be on the cheap as well.
-
Well spotted, Blue Peter badge in the post.
-
£16m? Can fuk off then.

Dead by the time he's 50, if he's lucky. Poor sod.
