Not very reliable, but 90% of us think the time will comes when Arsenal & Wenger will bid for our Frenchman, but if we let him go (as i think Zoggy would jump ship at 1st given chance) then i was hoping for a double figure, £6m is pointless.

http://www.fansfc.com/frontpage/frontpagenews.asp?newsid=163071 Arsenal line up £6million Magpies swoop 11:49 February, 22, 2007 Arsenal Football Club are lining up a £6million bid for Charles N’Zogbia. It is believed Arsene Wenger would have made an approach for the young Frenchman during the January transfer window had he not been out with a knee injury, yet he will now move for him in the summer. The French coach has been assured by his board that funds will be available to boost his squad at the end of the season, and the Newcastle United man is said to have leapt to the top of his wanted list. "We have always found funds for the manager when he wants funds," said managing director Keith Edelman. "Arsene is one of the managers who builds his squad very carefully.” The Magpies would be reluctant to part company with N’Zogbia, yet an offer of £6million could well prove too good for manager Glenn Roeder to turn down.

Apart from the slurred words and drastic shakes. Well he at least had a tan. Unless he;s playing a recovering alcoholic with a speech impediment then this film is going to be another reason everyone can laugh at Gazza. If he is playing a recovering alcoholic with a speech impediment, then he could possibly be up for an Oscar next year.

i agree. but that's why i put him in--he gets SO much criticism from people, i wonder when it comes right down to it, who would ship him? Good poll, requires thinking, should stump a few

Ramage & Ameobi I think Shola will win this by a mile, the rest are very debatable.

Bit of a shit rule! I always thought the ref had to blow the whistle, seems unfair the ref can liaise with the free-kick taker while the opposition are standing about sorting out the wall and keeper positioning himself. But if memory serves i'm sure i've thought that thought before, so you are probably spot on.
-
But i thought that was the rule? If so Lille have been ripped. If not then fair enough.
-
People are saying it should be allowed, but the ref didn't blow his whistle, is that not a rule, am confused???

Fake tickets being blamed. Also Manu fans had bought tickets in the home ground, but the police put them in the away section.

AZ, just so we dont have to put up with another invasion of stupid arse Turks coming in and fighting with everyone and each other.
-
Disgusting behavior from the police, tear gassing people as they left the stadium, just walking out, with their kids in toe. Hope the right people are sued to high heaven by every fan that was there. About time English fans are treated with some respect.
-
Its starting to ease up, lets hope it continues in this fashion as we dont pick up anymore injuries until the end of the season. Almost certain with all our players back we'll not win a game though
-
I dont think Sunderland will come up this season, and next season Keane will find it a different ball game, but i cannot see how they'll remain in the division any longer than that.

Aghh missed it, tried to sky+ rewind and hit the channel down button! Sat n watched the whole sodden crap match as well.

They haven't gone back to it, hopefully they've sorted the problem.

Up until the 1960s you only got paid when you played games... Maybe Toon's Taylor is really an 80 year old man. It could of been a possibility, was mainly thinking of smaller clubs who balance on a monthly tightrope and struggle to reach the end of each month paying their players. Then the summer comes, no income at all but still having to pay wages, how do they survive? So if we play Owen in the final month we pay £1.6m in wages for it (About £100kpw over a 4month period until the season starts up) is it worth doing or is it worth letting the FA pick up the tab until the new season starts?
-
Up and running (hard as well) for the first time this season and apparently doing well. GR has mentioned this (also .cock has shown the world he's running) and SSN's just had Shay Given on talking about Owen. Owen himself is becoming more vocal in the last week or so releasing comments on his own Fitness, England and Shevchenko. Does this mean he's closer to a return than we are all thinking? NUFC seem confident we'll see him again this season, and every article seems to be filled with more optimism, but no confirmation of his return (dont want egg on their faces i suppose) only talking up his talent and how much of a boost he would be. The last few articles lead me to believe that Owen is actually closer to 1st team training than we all think. It wouldn't surprise me if we saw him return mid March to the team, only a month away. In that time we only have 2 EPL games, Owen could be coming back at a extremely vital time, and the boost would be immense if it does happen. But something in the back of my mind is nagging away. I don know if footballers get paid over the summer while not playing, but if they do, and Owen isn't back till mid April would it be worth us playing him? Basically it would mean us paying his massive wages again, which if he's back in March is worth doing, and if they dont get paid over the summer then yes, but for the sake of one month of football for Owen we could end up having to pay for the several months over the summer when he's still not playing. We might as well let the FA keep picking up the bill until the start of the next season if that's the case. Another thing to think about is Liverpool needing a true goalscorer, and with Bellamy almost certain to leave Liverpool and even more certain the amount of money they'll have to spend, am sure its not long before Liverpool inquire about one of their favorite sons. 2 + 2 = 8 etc etc...But i think if we receive an offer over £14m, we'd accept and he'd want to leave. If so and we dont play him, he's not been that much of a financial disaster. The FA have paid him for the last year, and we've got most if not all of our money back, that's a lot of IFs though, but another scenario which wouldn't be too bad. Two questions that will forever hang over Owen's NUFC career (for however long that lasts): When will he be back from injury? Will he be here next window? No escaping them, and i cannot see in the future that changing. I hope he gets back in the next month, goes an amazing run, helps us in the UEFA and gets us up the table, and is fighting fit for next season, its just nice to be talking about a return a month or so away, but thats if everything goes right, which with Owen if hardly does, and with NUFC its a dead cert not to.

Lets not defend your puppy for one moment. (What was the point? 'rubbish'?? Wow, stimulating for a prick like him) We may get somewhere. But you cant. End of.

When we've got better versions of him in Owen & Martins? No thanks. Bellamy can offer us nothing that we already have, we have pace, but these two can actually stick the ball in the net more often to boot. Sibbi & Ameobi are the donkey's and are needed at this club, i'd like better versions of them, but that certainly isn't Craig Bellamy. rubbish. troll Really ? Shame you didn't respond to those questions/comments I made a few weeks ago instead of avoiding them, as a fan who had knowledge of the club would have done. I responded, you started talking shit, you are a sad old muppet etc... We've covered this ground tithead. If i wanted to talk to an absolute fuking arshole i would of PM'd certain a tosser who's user name started in 'N' and ended in '5'. Cant think which utter cunt this could be mind, really stratching the noggin Big old winky fuker eh, save the bacon etc...

I think they messed up the gradient with the new stand. I feel it should of went back more than up, too steep imo, but apart from that, fantastic sports venue. I hope we get some funding from the 1018 WC to finish off the ground, it may even get those shitty buildings knocked down finally. Why they are listed is beyond me. SJP should take priority over a few crummy flats, its the most important building in the City, the most famous, and should be allowed and encouraged to grow, not stifled by a shitty rule no one actually agrees with.
