Nearly £90m and were fuking shite. Was that done in the season we had no European competition as well? So next season even without Europe we'll break the £100m barrier for the 1st time with the extra £20m from the new TV deal.

I think Cristiano Ronaldo deserves a shout out, the reason Manu are top of the league this season. Not sure if i'd build a team round him though, but if i was going to build a team, it would be around someone young and i reckon he's the most influential player at the moment for his age.
-
Nee wonder they sold him!
-
European nights with the lads, having a few tinnies round my gaff even though there's work in the morning.

Evidence please? I'm sure he did just to train then be sent away again so SGE could have a look at him. He was in no way going to be picked if am thinking of the right player though. EDIT: http://soccernet.espn.go.com/players/profile?id=19812&cc=null 'His impressed enough to be invited to join the senior England side for their squad sessions in November 2002.' Aye, just to train, not up for selection, am sure SGE did that with a few players.

Thats from the Soccernet report - Ghana won 4-1. Somebody is going to get pissed off Lets hope there was a good reason they didnt play him (unless its: he injured himself in training ) Lets hope GR asked them not to, and they agreed. Building relations etc.
-
Tbf, it was probably some stupid jurno that asked him what he thought about it. That's the thing with these quotes, the questions are never cited. Probably, in fact nailed on, i just dont like him, think he stinks of arrogance.

Aye saw this today. Shearer is doing a job, he's being honest, Ballack has been just above shite since coming to Chelsea, Shearer as a pundit has a right to have a go at him, Ballack needs to stop crying and start playing football. But he'd rather have a whinge back, its Shearer's job now to do the talking, its still Ballacks job to play the football, Ballack needs reminding of this and i hope Shearer tells him next time he comments on Chelsea.

Also older fans who think their opinion is right as they have been around longer, never giving change a chance and hate it when new faces go to the match. Utter horrible cunts, hope the new generation of football fan do not turn out bitter and twisted like them.

I thought that was only in David Seaman's days.. Hated that, was hoping other teams score just so she can shut the f*** up Speaking of Arsenal,I also hate how Wenger pretends that they are a "fair play team" when the fact is they are one of the dirtiest teams in the EPL Aye, while were on Arsenal: Toure takes out the attacker with a challenge straight from prison while Lehmann stomps in and fly kicks the poor attacker in the head causing a fatality, wenger on the situation. "I deed not see that inceedent, i will have to check ze reeplays" Fuk off But when Van Persie dives in the box at the other end, with 6 bodies in the way and no opposing player within two miles as whole thing being over in split second the fuking cunt can see then cant he. "Yes, eet waas a penalty" Double fuk off

Why do you think Lescott is utter sh1te? Honestly I would be extremely happy if Taylor's partner is Lescott. Also, physical attributes are part and parcel in defensive ability. Hence I can "understand" that some people see King marginally better than Woodgate. But ultimately I very much disagree with this for though Woodgate is not as tough as King, he rarely get outmuscled and he has hardly been bullied by any physical players in premiership. Perhaps in Newcastle and Boro he has Bramble and Potagetz respectively, but in Leeds he had Rio Ferdinand! Nobody that ugly can be good at anything bar scaring children and surviving nuclear fallout with his inbred family.

Pompy tosser with the bell. White Hart Lane having support beams right in front of the TV cameras. Manu arse kissing. Liverpool singing won it 5 times John Motson Lawro Stephen Carr Celery Babayaro The screaming bitch at Highbury whenever the oppo went near the Arsenal goal. thank fuk for the stadium move. 4-5-1 defensive at home. (Bolton, Everton, other teams and managers with lack of talent and imagination) Celtic, Rangers & the whole religion thing, gay tbh. Matt Le Tissier doing our matches on Gillette soccer Saturday when he clearly loves to see us beat and almost cries when we score. Cunt.

A list of top ten English defender by "Alan Shearer", a Toon fan I suppose. Why is Upson in there and no Curtis Davies? And Linvoy Primus? Can't believe that there are some Spurs fan who think Dawson is better than Lescott. I can accept that, though disagreeing, some saying King being marginally better than Woodgate. But Dawson better than Lescott? yep Dawson's the better centre back (hence the continuous england call ups). Some players on that list shouldnt be there but i dont really wanna start an argument. There are a lot of players who have had endless call ups but really havent deserved them! Dawson is very average and this is often proved any time King is injured! Bramble and even Andy bloody O'Brien looked good players next to Woodgate! Lescott has had half a good season whilst dawson had an Excellent season last year (should have been our player of the year) and was outstanding in he's first six months at our club. He's been good this year but nothing special. Lescott's definatly had the better season so far. Lescott is utter shite. Dawson is a class above him imo, and i think Dawson is plain average. King is not a good a defender as Woodgate, physically he's stronger in all areas, but Woody outclasses him in every other department.

Aye, our chances of winning anything meaningful have taken another hit today, but with Liverpool now bought, what other realistic options are there left for anyone wanting to takeover in the greatest league in the world? Come on Bill Gates! Aye, Liverpool football club perhaps having even greater resources added to the fact they are prepared to employ top footballers ignoring self righteous bollocks from the naive makes it more difficult for us to win owt. Of course it makes it easier, my mistake.
-
Not in total. They only paid off half of it. Why not i dont know, im guessing the other half is very low interest or owed to a board member, so eventually the club will be £300m in debt, as the stadium is costing £250m according to them.

Its about the only thing the fans can be United over at the moment, everyone is in agreement
-
Yeah, Roeder should have definitely told the press how delighted he is with Carr being injured instead. Should of said nowt and be thankful Ireland are picking up his wages until he's back.

You think the Spain Friendly is more important than the next 12 games? Did i say that? Did i even mention that? I was referring to the part where he's angry at Carr's injury, and we are all buzzing about it. Out of touch.

http://icnewcastle.icnetwork.co.uk/newcastleunited/news/tm_headline=glenn%2Ds-fury-at-carr-ko%26method=full%26objectid=18583979%26siteid=50081-name_page.html Glenn's fury at Carr KO Feb 6 2007 By Lee Ryder, The Evening Chronicle Glenn Roeder today angrily revealed how Newcastle United had been punished yet again by international football after Stephen Carr was sent home from Republic of Ireland duty with a thigh injury. His fury comes just 24 hours before Scott Parker and Kieron Dyer play for England in a friendly with Spain and on the night that top scorer Oba Martins goes into a grudge match at Brentford for Nigeria against Ghana. The knock sustained in training means Carr (pictured) could be out for a month - but for Roeder the loss of the full-back is simply the straw that broke the camel's back after enduring a rough time with his international players. The Toon boss has been without Michael Owen for the whole season due to his knee injury in the World Cup, while Steven Taylor's campaign last year was also decimated by a shoulder problem suffered after colliding with Carlton Cole in training for the England Under-21s. And a furious Roeder told the Chronicle today: "Newcastle United have been punished terribly with injuries due to international football. "We cannot put a world-class striker in Michael Owen on the team sheet because of his World Cup injury. "Steven Taylor returned last season from Under-21 duty and had to have his shoulder practically sewn back on. "And now we have lost Stephen Carr for up to a month with a thigh injury. "We have been wounded this season. "Even one of our fringe players, Alan O'Brien, has gone away three times and twice he has returned injured. "We have just worked patiently with Stephen for three months, and after three games back for us he is flying home on the plane after one session with the Republic of Ireland before their Euro game with San Marino. "The club doctor Roddy McDonald actually told me to sit down and take a deep breath when he told me that Stephen had got injured. It made me so angry - and I'm still angry. "When I was working as an England staff member we had numerous disagreements in the club v country row. "Back then I thought that the club managers were being unfair to their country. "But now I know exactly what they mean - I have gone 100% the other way. It is unfair. "You could say that Alan Pardew would still have his job at West Ham if there weren't so many friendlies that don't mean that much. "He lost Dean Ashton in August because of the friendly with Greece, and that has been a massive factor." Roeder refused to use the injury list at Newcastle for their mediocre campaign so far, and insisted he has battled on without moaning about all the injuries sustained in club football. Indeed, the Carr incident is a perfect example of exactly why the United boss is so unhappy with the injuries he can do nothing about. He added: "If players get injured at Newcastle, in training or a match, I don't have a problem with that. "I haven't moaned once about our injury list because they have come while players have been on club duty. "I have taken it on the chin. "But when a player gets sent back after international duty injured, we have to pick up the pieces. "We are trying to push up the Premiership table in our game against Liverpool already with 10 injuries. "There is too much money involved in the Premiership now and too much at stake to lose players due to international friendlies. "For five months we have battled with injuries and now after finally getting down to single figures we are back up to 10 because of Stephen's thigh injury. "I am sure the Newcastle fans agree with me when I say that our last 12 games in the Premiership are more important than an England friendly with Spain." -------------------------------------------------------------------------- GR, you sometimes amaze how fuking thick you are, you are so out of touch with the fans you belong on the board.

So what does everyone think of the takeover? It will get them a new stadium at least, meaning the turnover will be greater in the future. But apart from that i cant see them getting huge amounts of money every season to spend, but i reckon it will take them closer to Chelsea & Manu in the next season or so, i expect a decent initial investment in to the team in the summer, exciting times for Liverpool fans, i just think the new owner are dodgy, both been bankrupt, and not so long ago, one of them caught up in a pay scandel and the other has backed one of the most dangerous men in the world in to power, and paid for him to do so. This shows they've made bad judgment calls in the past, but we all learn from our mistakes, but the fans will expect massive investment in the team, and will be dissapointed when they dont receive it.

Shame, i hoped for a 'career' threatening injury.
