Solano & Sibby should be given 1 year extensions, and only that. If they prove they are still good enough the following season we can offer the same deal again. Keeps them on their toes, and us not committed to an aging star who could lose it at anytime soon.

Its great the Liverpool fans are finally finding out who and what Craig Bellamy is all about. It seems the opinion is 'get the little cunt out of our club' and 'he's as shit at swinging a golf club as he is scoring goals' page after page of LFC fans laying the blame firmly at Bellamy's feet and wanting him out in the summer. His future is all but over with the takeover, Liverpool will be looking at world class strikers if their new owners are to be believed, like many in this thread i see Bellamy at Villa next season. Only jail will sort the cunt out, but he's not our problem, and i for one am glad about that, and never want him to be our problem again.

We had a week off before the game so many players returned from injuried/see Liverpool And i admire him for playing despite his brothers death,we should give him a week off so he can go back to Nigeria with his family.. Fair enough, but am sure we've asked him to play even with injury, we've asked him to play because we've had no one else, but all of a sudden his Bro dies and he's up for selection? Very very fuking cynical of me, but i have to ask. mmm you are being pretty heartless if you ask me ,doubt anyone needs a death in the family to get on the football pitch So where has he been? All of a sudden galvanised ready to play in an important match with his brothers pride on his shoulders. where was he when we needed a LB over xmas and new year? Its not heartless, i just find the co-incidence suspicious. I know from a NUFC footballer (or his opinio) that Babayaro picks his games, is this another case? are you for real. i wouldn't have been on the pitch if that was my brother! maybe baba will come out and say why he played everybody has there own way to greive and he is from a different culture why doubt his reason for playing give it a bloody rest Like i say, i apolosgise for questrioning it. Really ridiculous of me to do so, been a bit of a tosser lately. Sorry Baba, still think you are total shit, but i'm sorry to suggest your playing for personal reasons, and even if you were, you deserve to, i know i'd put in the vest performance of my likfe if it were me in your situation.

Lucarse has injured himself again, different injury as well. Well worth the £60kpw. To think of the game he missed today

Not even attempting the little cunt.

Yeah fair play, go back to my initial reaction, well done to him, and to perform so well against tough opposition. I was wrong to question.

Mate i cant imagine Babs only played because his brother died, To even question it is out of order. Babs was injured over xmas wasnt he? He's always 'injured' and always back at certain times. Like i said, im being very cynical, but when you hear a player picks and chooses his games from someone he works with, then i will cast a cynical eye on things.

Really mean no disrespect but is this what it takes to get the man on the pitch for a game of football? Seriously, timing is pretty suspicious and i'm sorry to question it but howay...

So was it board or Baba's brother? Either way, RIP.

It was NE5, the blanket was NHS and the metal thing was his zimmer frame, day release from the AOP's home. I can only imaging he was protesting against the fact Bellamy scored and his team lost, fuked up his ammunition for when he got home.

Did some usual shit stuff, but was good at times, sorry to hear about that, i dont like Baba as a player at all, but i feel for him tonight.

She saw her meal ticket and took it.

Used his head well, and good reach with his legs, reminded me of Darren Peacock with the way he throws his body about.

Better than Matt Le Piss doing our games and cuming over defeats and goals against.

Watched the match at the Berkley Tavern (when it wasn't breaking up) and we did really well 2nd half. 1st half was a disgrace to NUFC (mainly the defending) and it was through pure luck we got the 1-1. But good effort in the 2nd half, the fear drained out of our players, and we matched and in parts past Liverpool in play, not much though, a scraped 3pts we didn't deserve but achieved, and i really dont give a fuk as long as we got them.
-
The 1st half was got hammered, and we should of lost 3-1, but second half we did well, matched them and we were worth a draw, for any Liverpool fan to see this then they must feel aggrieved.

Roma is the highest positioned team on that list who wasn't playing CL football last season. Considering we weren't playing ANY European football last season and the club was under a cloud with Souness were positioned not too bad. We've now got UEFA this season, and hopefully we can get it again next and with the extra £20m quid we'll probably be ahead of Roma again, even if they make CL next season.

I am everything but a Schalke fan, but how is Schalke a tiny club in comparison to Newcastle? I think the clubs have a lot in common - well except of the odd domestic and European trophy Schalke won in the last decade... Isnt Newcastle twinned with them? (city wise) A mining city with a strong loyal fanbase IIRC.

http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=446798&CPID=21&clid=&lid=2&title=Italian+football+to+resume&channel=football_home& The Italian football federation (IFF) have confirmed football in Italy will resume this weekend. All of last weekend's matches were postponed after a policeman was killed following an ill-tempered derby clash between Catania and Palermo on Friday. Football in the country was suspended following the tragedy, but after new stadium guidelines were approved on Wednesday, the league will also now resume. IFF commissioner Luca Pancalli has praised the government's efforts and believes it was the right thing to resume football in the country this weekend. "There is great satisfaction in the measures taken," stated Pancalli. "I'd like thank to the government for their efforts and speed. I think it would have been a mistake not restarting."

No he hasn't. He's had signings that havent worked, but then who hasn't. His overall record is very good. Of the 10 players he's signed that cost over £5 mill each, Alonso, Garcia, Reina, Crouch, Sissoko, Agger, Bellamy, Kuyt have been very good signings for us. Jury will forever be out on Pennant. The 'big' signing that didn't work was Morientes, and at 6 mill that was hardly big bucks. But after that what money has he lost/wasted, not much really. Josemi arrived for 2 mill, was swapped for Kromkamp who was then sold for £2 mill. Barragan was sold for a profit after one year, as was Nunez, so no wasting of cash there (and both Nunez and Josemi helped the team win the CL which in itself made it a good return). Carson will be sold for a profit easily if he wants to leave. The problem Rafa has had is having to sell to buy each summer, and having to go for 2nd best (Pennant), cos he couldn't afford Kuyt AND Alves last summer. Transfers is the least of my concern, I just want the new ground sorted. Rafa hasn't done too shabily for a manager who's spent around £40m net the last 3 seasons. So he does't need an extra 200mill ala Maurenho. But every manager would like some more and not have to sell to buy. I expect to see a few players exit the doors though, and replaced with proper quality. Dudek Hyypia Paletta ? (is utter shite but will Rafa keep) Aurelio Zenden Kewell Fowler IMO will all be sold and replaced with good quality players. (although Carson coming back replaces Dudek) Liverpool need a new CB (1st team), LB (squad) L-wing (1st team) & a worldclass striker. If they went and got Curtis Davies, Baines or Bale, Torres & a mint young left winger then the team wouldn't even need investing in for some time, and if they promise to buy a worldclass player every year after that initial investment then Liverpool will quickly catch ground on Chelsea. Fuking bastards.
