  1. I'd be temped not to sack him, but demote him to u15s manager. Keep paying him and make sure he clocks in every day for his money. We all know he's going to Derby next. Be great to stop that from happening unless he walks away with a lower offer.
  2. Professor of knowing fuck all.
  3. When Kilcline lived in Whitley and was always in the local video shop asking for recommendations.
  4. little things like this make a club.
  5. fuck it, all in, go get him, Amanda .
  6. just wait till we’re dropping joelinton money on replacing managers like chelsea.
  7. whatever the train, journey and destination I’m on board and it’s all at their discretion. Just being able to watch newcastle again is my 1st step. I’ve seen 2 full games under Bruce so I need to pace myself and last 90mins. Is fan condition a thing? If so I’m lacking match practise.
  8. The other 19 clubs can whinge as much as they like but the PL have fucked us over for 2 seasons and lots of opportunity has passed. We're now in a tough position and this season is written off whatever happens.
  9. There is this as well. Ian Wright had our backs more than Shearer in recent seasons.
  10. Course he is. Bruce thinks he's a manager, Shearer knows he's not one. I doubt if he could do things differently he would, he'd rather have not done it at all. Is he even a coach? Refused to be assistant to Keegan when he came back, his ego wouldn't let it. Shame as that would have been much better exposure for him rather than the managers job.
  11. Shearer thinks Bruce is a good manager, and Tbf compared to himself he is. That says it all really. If Shearer comes back it’s as an ambassador, meet and great for the sponsors. In terms of any decisions football wise, he’s the last man on the list.
  12. Howe is an absolute fanny. Not mentally strong enough for the job. He needs something less high profile and one where he can coast for years without question. He’s a decent manager though and would do well with Southampton, just not for us. conte/zidane not going to happen. I like the idea of Gallardo for the above post but he’s an unknown over here and comes with big risk. Equally big returns if he gets it right. Rafa isn’t moving 7 games in to a season, even if Everton deserve it for his initial treatment. Rodgers would show we mean business, however he’d be mad leaving a great setup for one that doesn’t exist so I really can’t see him leaving for us. Potter is probably the best realistic shout, again though like Rodgers in a great place, it would take some convincing but I think we could do it. Gerrard I like and would be w great fit. No experience of the league though and a huge step up in terms of competition around him. Inevitably he’d be always looking at the Liverpool job and would be constantly linked should he do well here. Southgate lovely guy and decent international manager but questionable at team level. I also think out of all the managers linked he’d have real issue with KSA. I will mention Keegan again. Think him as manager till the end of the season with Jones doing the tactical/training part would work well. The high from the crowd alone is worth several points, his ability to galvanise a squad and show ambition is possible within the entire club is priceless.
  13. Last 2 was Leeds in the LC & Harper's testimonial. Next game? No idea. Not in a massive rush. Will allow it all to sink in and watch via the TV/pub and rebuild out relationship that way.

    Rafa Benítez

Imagine the fume from the scouse mackems if after all the ungrateful whinging towards the appointment, a very competent start, we then come in and he walks away to join us. Make it happen.
  15. They limit themselves by wanting PL experience. Not saying that’s incorrect, just narrows the results. Thinking slightly outside the box: Villas-Boas. Mind he had that barny with the Marseille board bringing in players over his head. As long as there were clear lines I think he’d be a shout.
  16. belongs in the uncomfortable thread. Scathing like, but at least he attacks everyone equally and actually gives the fans a bit of a break.

Fair enough. Should be though. Probably been around just as long and has just as much cultural significance to the city.
  19. Totally shameless. I’d give him a tiny bit of respect if he came out and said I’m just waiting for the call and to confirm my payoff. Cheers for the monies and all the best. I’ll enjoy it from my new villa in Portugal.
  20. Think he’d be decent for a championship club. He’d probably do things a little differently but not much. Think Derby would take surviving comfortably in the championship right now, but that’s all they’ll ever be from now on and there will be very little chance of him leaving once his claws are in. So short term it might seem a good thing for them, after the initial save it’ll be a forgettable 20 years of nothingness, poor sods.

I’m sure if there’s a way to redevelop the current location then they’ll find it and pay over the odds to do it. As long as they do a good job and make it top class and once again the jewel in the city then it’ll get local gov backing. Blocking light of leazes shouldn’t matter, it didn’t for the strawberry.
  22. the Jamie link as well. He’ll know all about him.
  23. Bought the youngest a strip last night. Felt soooo good. Don’t know if I’ll ever get myself one again, but it’s not not to be disgusted of the thought.
