Gary Megson....go home Rafa, you're drunk.
-
People are halfwits. He got a lot of abuse at the game, apparently.
-
Apart from having two better options, i'd agree.
-
Good changes. Would liked to have seen Mitro in but can't have it all.
-
Silly shite cunt.
-
Sorry...'prewven' might make the difference.
-
Work - Rafa struggling and Coleman proven international class. Guess who they'd rather have?
-
For the good of himself we have to hope he can't risk another relegation and having the fans finally ditch the club like Sunderland have done.
-
Not a chance. Ashley wouldn't pay his contract up.

The transfer market isn’t static, the goalposts move every minute due to player and agent power. Neither the club nor him were fully prepared at how vicious this one was going to be and both parties could have done much more in it. I meant what kind of funds that were promised to him early on! Later on he had much less compared to what was agreed on beforehand. I don’t think anything was agreed, not a figure anyhow. Ashley slime balled his way out of it lawyer style hiding behind carefully chosen words. Bit like well reinvest all of the Carroll money and us thinking it would mean £35m of transfer fees. I'm not gonna fucking bother! !O!K!!!!!

Still though that said I believe Rafa could have done more with what he was given. I honestly think the last window has just made our situation worse. We may have been better standing completely still.

It’s quite possible Rafa isn’t used to dealing with this Low end budget, he used to it where mistakes can be made and rectified quickly with another signing. Unfortunately for him he needed to get almost every signing bang on, he’d stood a better chance if he brought in quality over quantity.

Joselu will be on £40k and Murphy on half that imo. £60k would get you somewhere close to a decent striker, especially if we sold Gayle or Mitro on the back of it. Rafa didn't get to choose which of his targets to get, it's really not that hard to grasp that he didn't have that choice. So he doesn’t have control over transfers? He literally said time and and time again, all summer long that they had targets and the club was tasked with delivering them. He then said Ashley didnt keep his word over what they had agreed. How could he have made it any clearer? He didn’t prioritise them. He knew early doors what was available to him budget wise. If a 15 goal striker is much needed then you make him top of the list. He seems to think so right now, with his team not scoring enough goals, but instead last minute panick bought Joselu whilst in between buying players who’ve not improved us one bit. Last thing we needed was more squad depth, we needed quality. Abraham was not his single uptop striker target. He’s nothing like Joselu, so now we have 3 strikers we need to get rid of. Atsu, leftback and striker. Nothing else until he sold so more, and had we a reliable striker we’d have Gayle sold for premium and been able to buy another key player such as a goalkeeper. ...again wtf was he thinking not selling Darlow?

You could have saved 5m on Joselu and kept Murphy, who was probably better. We flogged plenty of players, have plenty on loan and released and had many leave for free, surley we made a few quid. Was the cash from promotion not that much? How the fuck is a club with gates 2 times plus, not generating enough to compete with Brighton and Huddersfield. He could have had a top striker for what he paid for Joselu & Murphy. Tbh you could add Manqullio & Lejeune who added fuck all this season and be knocking on some decent doors. We'd then have bit Fulham's arm off for Gayle and be able to invest elsewhere. Some poor decisions have been made in the transfer market and the Club doesn't take the entire blame imho, Rafa hasn't managed his ins and outs correctly; preoccupied i think in making noise in the press rather than getting down with what he has and doing his best.

Newcastle Takeover Collapses Ripon Businesswoman Amanda Staveley has ended her interest in taking over Newcastle, according to skysports.com. Staveley had been in talks with the North East outfit but her proposal has been rejected by the Newcastle Owner Mike Ashley. With the talks having been close to breakdown in recent days, the collapse of the takeover will not really have come as any great surprise.

Aye, you've handled yourself with great grace and dignity.
-
not being cheeky or owt, like, but when is it ok to panic? 1 win in the last 8. 4 defeats in a row, and only one of them was to a top 4-6 team. persistance in playing players out of their depths when there are alternatives. refusing to make changes till its too late in the game (not just today). inability to get a single point from huddersfield, brightom, burnley, bournemouth and watford.

Absolutely hate the shit eating cunt.

Not changed my tune from last season, come match day he’s nothing special. As a man, as a club manager, as someone to spearhead a clubs revivial you’d couldn’t ask for more, but come match day it’s either defend for your lives and nick a goal or the plan fails miserably. It’s not much different to dinosaurs like fat Sam, I had hoped for better. Also again, you can blame his hands being tied, but he’s partly responsible for that due to some hideous signings and his refusal to drop them when they clearly aren’t good enough. This isn’t good enough from him, not by a long shot.
-
Hands tied or not, he’s bought some ultra shite.
-
It will when we play two strikers. Joselu doesn’t count as a footballer never mind a striker.
