Well said. It's not the player it's everything else.

Fair enough. All I'll say is this deal had some grey area. I think it spooked us.

Your sheer arrogance know no bounds. It's impressive. Nothing remotely arrogant about it. Arrogant enough to dismiss my points without any thought yet feel like following up with calling me a mug. That's arrogant to think your opinion top trumps anything else that comes your way. It's why you cleared up last year. Wey I do think you'd be a mug to take the club at its word and I wouldn't have said so otherwise. If thinking that makes me arrogant then so be it. I'm open to idea and thoughts that don't necessarily mirror my own. Unless it's an extreme view such as Isis is a good/bad thing then I'll listen. I don't believe you have that in you. Hence arrogant. Ps: I'm not taking the clubs word, far from it. I'm taking Rafas actions way above it. He's still here. You know literally nothing about me or what I'm like. I'm not going to waste my time arguing my case to someone I barely have any interaction with on here let alone speak to in real life though. For someone you barely speak to you seem to have an opinion on a lot of things I say (for example you picked up on agendas, I didn't talk directly to you) And...You wouldn't speak to people irl like you would here, far from it. But that's you, all fart no shit. Do I? I don't remember talking to you at all apart from once in the politics thread. Get over yourself Nee idea about the rest of that shite saying as we've established that you don't know me. I'll leave it there though, I have 'stop ruining threads' agenda, or again just learning from experience. Oh we? Is that the royal we? More arrogance. Mask slipping

That's concern, it's not unjustified, I certainly wouldn't call someone out for it, it's logical reasoning, it doesn't match mine but that's fair enough. But even in that, you can't see Rafa walking. If he isn't walking then it's not outright lies like Keenan had to endure.
-
Keegan walked when he was getting shafted (something I didn't appreciate at the time) but I believe Rafa will do the same, and he hasn't, so it probably isn't happening. What is happening is mental money is making the market really difficult to navigate. Rafa appreciates this. If he didn't he's be away. Agreed, there are a lot of teams that havent even made a move in the market yet It's shite. When we need to make more moves than most to get us on a level playing field every move needs to be spot on. One bad move can see us chasing the rest of the window. If Rafa suggests the club really had reneged on its promises, and that it's not just frustratiion on i things not happening then I'm in KIs sinking boat, but until that happened what choice have we got to believe in the manager? Not the club, not Ashley, not the squad, but the manager.

He's a great single malt or a granddad.
-
We could even cover that. You're talking double really.
-
Wonder if he'll tolerate starting Diame as our #10. He did,a lot last season. (But get Thor point)
-
Wasn't his biggest fan when he was here in his final days and believe that was fully justified and proved through time, but I'd take him in a heartbeat to kick start our season, he's exactly what we need if Rafa has it in him to cope with the maverick personality and encorperated it in theteam. It simply won't happen like. Rafa won't tolerate it.

Grayson has never said that...already.

Yup. Feels wrong laughing at these fuckers with the thread title hanging over.

Aye 2nd kit is crap, 3rd is where it's at. Unless it's hideous up close I'll be getting it. Its Rafa 1 too tacky? Or too risky?
-
Was he always so injury prone? I don't think so. My memory suck but I'm sure it was him who destroyed man citeh in Europe and the buzz was he'd join one of the elite.
-
If he had a bit more pace and could last a season he wouldn't be playing for us, he wouldn't even entertain the phone call.
-
Hope when this is all over they send us the right brother and don't try and pull the old switcharoo.

It is agendas. If you look at it rationally do you think Rafa would allow the club to lie to the fans over a deal he apparently had strong issues with losing out on? You can question the club, but then in this case (this article) you have to also question Rafas integrity by allowing it and not responding to it. If the club lost out and it's their fault they aren't going to stoke the fires by lying or leaking to the press, they gain nothing but a pissed of manager. I don't think even they are that stupid to intentionally piss off rafa. So that's my thinking, rather than based off something that happened a decade ago. Suppose it's easier to blame the club first and think later.
-
How is Norwich's centre backs looking? Could be a tasty bargaining chip.
-
I'd say we are buying more potential than the finished article at the moment, I would prefer a more experienced winger tbh. Like who though? That's the job of our scouting & coaching team. I think we'll need more experience if we are to avoid a relegation battle. We do, but probably not in this position. Young erratic wingers can be more dangerous than an experienced one, especially if they have energy and pace. We probably need a wiser head at the back, probably why Rafa is looking at older goalkeepers to calm down the relatively young back line. Ideal world would be an experienced centre back with leadership qualities but I think that's now out of the picture. Next would be a leader in the centre of the pitch, someone to calm Shelvey and or bring along Hayden. Again could be why we're looking at Samaris and probably would have him if the fee was a few mill lower.
-
Suppose it matters what your agenda is whether you believe this or not.
-
Really? Good for Rafa and us on a whole if we can (could have) get them in quite early so that we're strong and ready when the season starts. Exactly. 9 out of 10 of our transfers get dragged out to a ridiculous degree at the expense of team integration and chemistry, and for what? To save a bit on wages or to knock a half million off or whatever? Ever see the media yapping about other teams targets and then those teams take 2 months to conclude the deal? No, you read about it and it's generally done very soon after. Even hugely expensive deals like Lukaku were reported on and done in a matter of days. We're talking about signing lower half of la liga defenders and championship wingers for around 10m, not 80m strikers ffs. Lukaku took over 2 months, just because the bit where the fee was agreed to signing the player was short doesn't mean there was a lot of courting going in the build up to that. As usual big clubs agreeing with agents contracts and terms way before fee (another conversation) Lukaku knew who he was signing for since before the end of the season.
