Probably be injured for all of Jan & Feb knowing our luck.
-
£40m, ok, I could live with that. Probably still need DCL to cover ACON though. £60m. Would rather go for Mateta.

This and his agent have done him no favours. His agent has been in talks with Liverpool for some time. Told him he's their No1 target and will stop at nothing to bring him in. Then at the 1st sign of no from NUFC, they go buy the alternative and our most likely replacement, then when he forces his own hand by not flying out etc...they low ball an offer, lower than what they said their opening bid would be, and then refuse to come up or negotiate, leaving him in no mans land. He's been advised terribly by his agent, and needs to boot him out the door, regardless of whether he gets his move or not. Tbh, if its a no from us and we're not letting him go due to no time to replace (again partly down to Liverpool) then the way back into the fold is to sack his agent, sign a new deal here, and start scoring his way back into everyone's good books.

Only thing that gets us a point is if villa are also a bit down in the dumps and not ready for the new season. If not, it's going to be like the last time we played them at villa park.
-
At least he's seen through his agent, who has spent the last year blowing smoke up his arse saying he'll get £180kpw at a top club. Reality is a little different.
-
I think he'd do well here. Everton rushed him back so many times through desperation and added to his time out, very much like we did when we only had wilson. If he's 2nd or 3rd choice he'd be a good option off the bench and in cup games. He might have to accept thats his role at a European comp club, or, he might as well have negotiated an extension at everton.

More fan fiction than anything else, but that's the profile we should be aiming for.
-
Ramsdale, Thiaw, Gallagher, Elanga & Wissa would be a very good window.
-
More to do with how the player has already been linked there, so ending his career on a big pay day would be tempting. We can't profit from sales to pif clubs, but we can break even.
-
Look at it this way. Whatever we pay today, Saudi will pay in 1 or 2 seasons time. Well get our money back, he'll get his CL dream and his final payday, and to psr, all he cost were wages (wilson covers that)

I've not started a thread in decades. About time I think
-
Wissa & Osula, and potentially Isak, or £150m at worst to spend in the jan window. There's pretty much no one left who isn't a gamble.
-
I don't think he team mates will want to play with him, or him play for us, and the fans have to put up with his sulky lazy half arsed attitude. Price also goes up in the last 2 and then final weeks of the window. Deadline day it's £200m.
-
Personally I'd lay off all attempts at a striker and concentrate on all other areas, strengthen the places in need like CB & CM. Maybe continue with Wissa as a 2nd striker, but that's it. Make ourselves even more competitive in all other areas and tell isak he can go regardless of getting another striker in, but it's £150m and nothing less. He wants the move thst badly, then his agent can go earn his money and make that happen. Revisit strikers in jan, where we'll have more money than pretty much every club and be in a different position.
-
Thankfully he'll reject us and sign for someone else. Probably Chelsea.
-
Trafford didn't reject us. We pissed around trying to agree a fee and lost him. 100% on the club, not the player.
-
Rather just play Osula. Reckon he'd hit double figures in the league with the majority of starts. I'd only see a few more than that from Jackson.
-
£110m for Isak to blow £80m on Jackson is probably up there with some of the biggest downgrades in our history. Cabaye to Colback Rafa to Bruce Bobby to sourness Least we didn't pay 80 fucking million for the privilege.

So him and Ramsdale gonna run into each other going for the same ball or something.
