GKs real ability is mental. That doesn't come early. You might grt a freak like Donnarumma, but in general keepers need all sorts of experienceto develop. Tall, quick reflexes and intelligent. That's what you look for in a young keeper. They can bulk out, learn to read the game and get their passing up to scratch over time, the other 3 thing you cannot teach. His mebtal ability is something we have to accept Howe will know more about than us. I think kompany knows a player as well, especially youth. For me it's a perfect way to clear out the crap keepers we've got and get some youth into the squad.
