Some telepathic attacking passes. Shame they've a couple of forward injuries or they've be well in front.
-
massively impressed with Coventry here, really have arrived and giving this a right go.
-
5 then? Harsh. We're not that bad.
-
IF we played Coventry today, we'd be 3 down by now.
-
Coventry playing better than we have in 2024
-
QPR in decent form, but these lot should win today. Utter ructions if they don't. Players might not be able to cope with the pressure, especially if the fans are on their backs early doors.

I'd be shocked if he stays after this season. Best we can hope for is he goes abroad and we rarely have to see his face. Such a shame, but you can't expect us to hold onto elite players whilst playing like a pub team.

Think I'm done with football, like. Only hanging around to see it fall down. Just no point in daring to want to succeed. Whole world is sewn up for the elite.

Playing with injury so the club runs him into the ground. Lovely stuff. I'd be fizzing if I were a player the way they've been treated this season.

4 supporters. Well, suppose its more than matchday.

The hotel rumours and the power struggle with Ashworth. He's been given players (hall), not necessarily backed. This winter window we needed recruits for the sake of the players physical health, the season and for him. I don't believe nothing could have been done.

So glad I settled with beat the mackems, and fuck the rest of the season off mentality when I did. He has this season whether we lose every game or not, just makes the decision very easy come the end for the club. I am surprised though he hasn't turned it around yet. Some moments like villa and wolves, but moments, not any kind of form or structure. He's not learned any lessons either, which means he's too stubborn or doesn't know how to change. The elite managers adapt and sometimes reinvent themselves. I thought Eddie was going to be the new breed of that. This season has shown his limitations, and it's shit as you want him to do well and get back on it, but time is running out. Get humped out the cup at the weekend, and there really isn't much to look forward to, just go through the motions, and hope no more players get injured. Not the inspiring March to the top we all were experiencing this time last season. Something happened around the end of Nov, early December. Not the CL. That was tough, but expected before a ball was kicked. Something behind the scenes. Some strong rumours around that time, I wonder if he feels let down by a few and with the club not backing him in the winter window, feels a bit isolated.

There's talk of letting the Saudi league in. They'll follow the money.
-
If the 19 clubs want more financial flex, and this still isn't enough, then don't play the next game week, and don't play until something better is reached. Uefa can go fuck itself, they'll lose massive figures with no English teams in. Take a fucking stand. Stop accepting such shit.

£7.5m a year from each club. No issue paying it, but imagine being £5m over ffp, receiving a points deduction and losing £100m because of it, yet the money you've just given to the team who replaces you could have saved all that. They'll exclude it, but that's not the point. You can't inflict financial rules to not overspend by threatening a clubs existence and also expect the to pay for clubs who'll take their place because they cannot spend to attempt to stay in the top league.

Worst thing we can do is give him the start of the season to see if he can get it going after investing more money in his style signings. We either sack him in the summer or offer a new deal and believe in his project. Halfway house commitment never works. It's the sunderland way.
-
He can't even drop burn when players are whizzing by him for fun, sometimes with 3 alternatives on the bench. I wouldn't hold you're breath for a ruthless Howe.
-
For such a young progressive manager he sure is stuck in his ways. This season is one hell of a leveller for him. He just needs to get it over with and start again next year. I'd like to see him mix it up now, try new things and players. Give others a chance. Expose Hall, ffs. I hope the club back him, however giving him full control (Howe jnr promotion being the start) might not be the smartest move, especially if they have any doubts. One thing is for certain, we've got to get the next window right and if he's in full charge, and it goes wrong, we're fucked for a wee while.

3 times as many minutes last season than Barnes this season. Season before 10 times. Sometimes something different is good. So many similar players now we can't change anything.
-
I no medical expert, but you tend to check movement and limitations. If he can't take that then his game is over.
-
Not sure what's up with him, he's been below average for a while. I really do hope he finds what he's lost and gets back on it. When he's playing well so do we. Could be we cannot afford a passenger in such a key area, or could be the sign he is a good player on his day.

Targett for botman? I'm not watching, so only.going off the match thread
-
Certainly not a coincidence. I've been down this path a fair few times as to why it's happened, but not today. I grt too much grief. ?
-
All speculation on how this swings for us and everyone else. For now though, I'm going against type, and going to be optimistic about it. Next time someone moans at me for well, moaning, I'll remind them of tge one time I was happy, and you all tried to steal it from me. ?
