  1. Nah, in footballing terms he is streets ahead of Sissoko, Colback, Anita etc. He would be playing at left back for us right now, and we would be 6 to 9 points better off had he been here for us all season.
  2. Well done Jonas. No wonder the current players won't play for this club when it treats players that run themselves into the ground for this club like dirt. Pardew and Carver should be banned from football.
  3. I'm currently there, last day thank god, and what a horrid place. Pining for Bamburgh, Steel Rigg and Brough law. I love the place. Going back again in October for the 13th time. same, can't get enough of it. Likewise, went there with the wife on honeymoon last year and have already booked a return trip for September.
  4. Need some 'Please Stay Rafa' banners towards end of season if we don't look like staying up.
  5. What we really need is a Keegan style winning run. Sent from my arse using my anus
  6. Why not play Sissoko at LB if other options are exhausted. He did well there.
  7. I know he is a shit manager but I wouldn't rule out Carver speaking in Jonas favour.
  8. Playing Sissoko at LB while we chased the game was extremely innovative and not something anyone would have thought of.
  9. Probably nothing will happen but Mannone appeared to punch Cisse.
  10. I'd disagree he was wank. Once we started to attack their box in the last 30 minutes he was a behemoth.
  11. Colback for de Jong with Sissoko going left back was probably the best substitution for the past ten years.
  12. Deserve to lose this half. Colback should be sacked. Sissoko should be made to train with the under 10s for the rest of his contract.
  13. 1.21 GigaWatts Siem de Jong injured in electric shock incident
  14. I'm not against Gouffran up front if it is like one of those 5 a season 4th choice striker roles, which is the role we initially envisaged for the first year he was with us.
  15. Don't worry, savvywoman says he is not going anywhere
  16. Perhaps longer term Shelvey will be pushed forward but I think that is quite difficult to pull of this season where we have too many attacking midfielders and no one that can play well in central midfield other than Shelvey. Having said that though, if he were to make a good box to box central midfielder out of Wij or Moussa that would be amazing.

I thought we would keep Cathro given the Valencia connections.
  19. You can still get 1.2 odds on Benitez btw
  20. Imagine if he picks Obertan, Gouffran, Anita and Rivière first game !

Aye, right. Yes we get it you actually like the manager for a change. But it won't change the fact that the players will not be motivated to play for this club as a result of how the hierarchy has treated them. Not even Guardiola could turn things around. I wish Benitez all the best, he is a very good manager, but this club is rotten beyond repair.

We will still go down as I do not believe that Benitez will get the players giving their best. In my view, it wasn't the manager who lost the dressing room, it was the club that lost the dressing room and the hierarchy remains. In the last 2 years we have seen: Unimpressive treatment leading up to the departures of some players (Ben Arfa, Santon, Taylor, Jonas), A popular player now suing the club for how he was treated when suffering from cancer, Being abandoned with John Carver as manager for several months Chronic lack of ambition Even in the process of getting rid of Schteve we have shamed this club. Benitez will never regain the dressing room, because it is the club that is lost.

    Steve McClaren

Will probably get Carver to phone Ryan Taylor to phone Jonas to phone McClaren to tell him he has been sacked.
