  1. That pass to Janmaat was perfect, it is as if he just hit LB + Y on his Xbox controller.
  2. Anita is a different midfielder to Shelvey. Yes a useless one who can't pass.
  3. I hope that he says to someone: "I am your King", and that person replies "Listen, strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony."

    Andros Townsend

We replaced him with Ben Arfa. Who is not a true winger.
  5. Are you sure you are ok, your eye seems rather pink?

    Andros Townsend

The last true winger of any ability was Routledge. It is shocking that we never replaced him.

Because he's not that good, it's funny how people forget how bad someone is when he doesn't play. Also he's not a better dribbler than anyone we have. Who are these amazing dribblers we currently have? It isn't Sissoko because his running with the ball is simply about pace and power. It isn't Janmaat as he beats his man off the ball. And it isn't Perez because his play is all about using his first touch to get away from his man. So who else is there?

    Florian Thauvin

The initial loan back was part of the transfer agreement with Bastia. Then when he returned to Lille the manager he wanted to play for, Rudi Garcia had quit so he requested a transfer.
  9. Hope he nearly finishes a 1000 piece jigsaw only to find that the final piece is missing.
  10. The thing about Spurs is that they have a significant spine of players who are either English, or who have been in the division for some time either for Spurs or other teams so they have the luxury of selling a player like Townsend without the fear that they will lose stability or English grit or whatever. However in our case we have tried to bring in too many players without PL experience in too fast, whilst selling other established players. I think we have also been considerably lacking leadership on the field, not just Nolan types, but also the likes of Cabaye and Ba whom were highly influential amongst the players. The players who have been brought in are often luxury players like Sissoko whom without support from a decent spine of the team, are just playing for personal glories. I think we are now trying to redress this, not just by signing English players like Shelvey and Townsend, but also players like Mbemba, Mitrovic, and now Saivet whom could all potentially prove a good spine especially if descriptions of Saivet as a leader are accurate. Obviously this winter it isn't necessarily going to be easy to redress the issues with the overall balance of the team particularly with the position we are in now, but perhaps we may now see some sort of redress back towards having a decent spine of the team. Unfortunately I do think we are going to have to just survive first and then see what our dealings are like in the summer to determine the exact ins and outs of our new policy.
  11. Hope he gets caught up in some naked photo scandal where it is revealed that his erect penis is as big as his little finger
  12. Think it will be a midfield three of Colback, Saivet, Shelvey. Sissoko, Wijnaldum, Perez, De Jong, Thauvin, Aarons, Mitrovic and Cisse to compete for the top three positions.
  13. If Shelvey and Saivet do what they are meant to I would expect the team to significantly improve in all areas lessening the need for others...
  14. I think that reflects my fears too in that like Wijnaldum and Sissoko we will be told he is a box to box midfielder, when really he is another luxury attacking midfielder.
  15. I still can't believe that many think a centre back and striker followed by a winger are the most important signings. Two new and good central midfielders will significantly improve us all over the pitch.
  16. I don't think Dawson is amazing but he would make a better centre half club captain than Coloccini. Also, I know some myself included decry the lack of British backbone and leadership in the team, but we also miss leadership amongst the foreign ranks. Ba and Cabaye were very influential in terms of being able to speak good English and also being leaders amongst the French speaking players so are missed as more than just players. If there was some player available in France even if they lack real ability it could be an option.

    Steve McClaren

That midfield is horrible and would get us relegated. Unfortunately Colback and or Tiote are necessities right now until a point where we actually sign two competent central midfielders.
  18. RIP Pav. He made me like being a keeper. Him in the Tyne bridge sunset top was a defining image when I was younger
  19. Wishing Pavel a speedy recovery. In addition to being a memorable keeper for us, he is a huge friend of the club and the fans.
