Friend of Shearer by the way.

In the lower leagues Tisdale is second to none, and you have to bear in mind he manages a very small club from a small city that don't pay transfer fees. Despite the much bigger budgets of other teams he almost got them into the League One playoffs at one point, but constant player departures pushed him back down. Before that he got non league Bath particularly high up the ladder. His track record seems to be an eye for a freebie, getting the best out of lesser players, youth development, working within a very rigid and limited club structure, selling players for a profit. It his testament to his ability that he is the first League 2 manager to get a player into the England youth setup. And in actual fact he got two. I wanted him previously when we were relegated. I would prefer if he proved himself elsewhere, but trust me he is far better, genuine, more talented, and likeable compared to Pardew.

I noticed that, 1 bookie seems keen on him. Win % of 36 at Exeter, surely a contender. He is a very promising manager if you are looking at the lower leagues. In the context of what he has to work with at Exeter 36% is very good. I wouldn't rule him out doing well but think he needs to sharpen his teeth at a forward thinking Championship club first.

He's going to score the winner in the Derby isn't he

any different to someone buying a seat in an F1 car and displacing someone who has talent but no cash Not really because Oldham are essentially being paid to overlook his crimes.
-
So the family involved in the harassment of the victim are going to be paying his salary, paying for any lost sponsorship, and are mates with the Oldham chairman. So effectively these wicked people are buying his place in football.
-
I read yesterday that the victim continues to be harassed by Evans' supporters and has had to move and change her identity 5 times. So he is still indirectly causing problems for his victim by not acknowledging or accepting his guilt.

The Chronicle always have an agenda when it comes to our managerial appointments. They will always want someone that they think they can work with. Look at how they pushed Carver for the assistant manager in the first place. The idea of having a highly professional foreign manager who does not know who Lee Ryder is, and won't be passing on exclusive stories does not appeal to them.

He is finished here, but I'm surprised we can't make a few million from a Dutch or German club for him. Would be wise to sell ASAP.
-
Don't think we need to compare Perez and Cabella because both play in different positions and in my opinion we have played our best football when both are on the pitch, they had a good attacking understanding in partnership, something we haven't seen since Solano.
-
We may struggle to get 2 wins judging by last couple of games. You probably have to ignore yesterday when considering performances. Against Burnley, who you have to remember are a form side we put in a very good first half. You would have to believe at this stage that there is no reason that can not be transferred into a 4 to 5 wins at least, especially with Aarons, Abeid, Cisse, De Jong and Santon coming back, and perhaps more opportunities for Cabella under new management.

I doubt Pardew has had any input on his release if true. By releasing him now rather than waiting for the new manager the club must feel confident that he isn't going to play or get a new contract, so better to get rid now than assigning the new manager with the responsibility - that wouldn't be a good start for whoever came in. So if he was going to be released anyway, it is a very good decision to do it now.

Perez is what I'd imagine Kluivert to be like if he was transplanted with James Milner's brain. This lad will be one of the worlds best.
-
Maybe it is a code for Pardew is a load of shit.
-
Hope we keep Freddy Woodman. Would they like Elliot?
-
When people wanted us to lose there looked like no hope. When the likes of Perez and Aarons broke through I wanted us to win again, but that does not mean I wanted Pardew here.
-
I don't think though we will get a bad manager on an eight year contract though. A period of instability in management and results awaits, and whilst I'm sure we will continue to sign good players we may get a manager willing to use them properly. I'd expect now 2 to 3 managers over the next 3 years and hopefully continued frustration will see Ashley out of the door!
-
It would be great if once Pardew fucks off SackPardew.com release a statement saying that they will continue to highlight his failings as manager, and will work with fans of any club to hound him out of football altogether.

Having a nice glass of wine

Obviously he wants to be paid what he thinks his quality deserves. I do think though there is an issue in players getting too much money and letting their career slip. I would welcome a u21 cap of say 10k, or maybe forcing all player to put anything above say 10k a week in pension funds until they retire.
-
Wouldn't have Gouffran over him (as a winger) but without doubt I would have Cabella, Aarons and possibly Sammy over him. He has had the best moments of his career now. Thanks for the memories.

This whole rangers thing is going to come and bite us on the arse one day. Just a case of when, not if.
-
I'd leave him until January tbh rather than rushing him back. He is too young and need to consider the next 10 years not the next 4 games.

I think for a long time it have struggled to understand Pardew's footballing philosophy since Cabaye left (and possibly before) but I think it is really starting to become a little more consistent and coherent. This philosophy is a clear defensive, counter attacking game. As a Plan A, with no other coherent strategy this philosophy is our biggest Achilles heel. The system relies on confidence in defence, and confidence in attack. If both are good, we can win several games in a row against all kinds of opposition. But if the defeats start creeping in, a key player gets injured, sold or is just lacking form then it takes the whole team down with them and we can go on a run of negative results. Should the opponent get an early goal, we are liable to be thrashed. If we are ahead the opposition will be given time on the ball to attack out box, and that will often pay off. A visionary chairman would acknowledge that Pardew has in four years built a solid platform on a pile of sand, and would let a new manager to sort the groundwork out whilst retaining and developing the platform.

Think I'm now at the point where I don't think we will be any better off with HBA. Yes he would be better under different management, but under that scenario I still think we would have better options in Cabella and Aarons and whoever else we may buy. We have seen him at his best, and it was amazing, but I'm moving on from it with good memories.
