Furthermore, if Riise was genuinely Kinnear's first choice, I'd say Sorin would be under the category of well known player with similar attributes to Riise as Kinnear went down the list of available left backs. -

Despite impressing at Argentina, he has never quite managed to get a run of games in Europe, running off to Cruzeiro until the next European club comes knocking. The biggest irony would be the identity of the person who replaced him at Villareal: Jose Enrique Sanchez Diaz -

It means the club aren't bothered. Cruzeiro don't have a league game until 23rd May 2009, and it is unclear if Sorin took his option for the 2009 season anyhow. -

He does certainly fit the left back, Argentinian or Italian international, injured for ages, club willing to let him have a trial description that Kinnear has provided us with. -

Link? Oh no, there's no source, should have made it clearer, it is mere opinion. -

The Argentinian is Juan Pablo Sorin. -
How long before NUSC become a lower league football club I wonder?
-
Souness was more like someone running out of nowhere and smashing you in the face with a brick. This is more like someone who mugs you, beats you senseless then backs over you repeatedly with their car to make sure you're dead. I loved Souness. He'd punch you in the face, but he'd try to make up for it with expensive gifts, and there were a few happy memories. Kinnear has just locked me in the cellar without any food.

Does his missus put newspapers down when he comes inside from the garage?
-
Oh goodness no. If people want to protest though, can they do it outside Ashley's house or business or something and keep it off the pitch where the players are going to need us.
-
He's just rejected a contract offer. Wants Parry removed from club control, he either wants a technical director, or all football funds placed under his direct control.
-
His argument is irrelevant, first few games, he said he didn't want to overcomplicate things, so got us going with simple tactics with players in the right positions, and it was actually when he tried to implement his methods that everything went wrong.

Where's the money gone then? It's gone where the £1.1bn Ashley has lost in the past 12 months has gone.

Think they are having a go at Moldovan scouting too. -
Perhaps Kinnear had one of his blabbermouth moments in front of the lad.

Stole him off the Mackems.

Have to say, McCrudden has sounded fairly good as an attacking midfielder recently. Is he?

The Brazilian youth policy goes something like this: Every kid in Brazil who is half good goes for an epic trial at Santos. The best kids get picked, and the rest get sent home. Then all the kids left go to the next best club and so on, until they've found somewhere. Of course there is the margin of error, but those players that low down have generally been rejected by the top clubs. If they suddenly come any good at their lower level club, they'll get spotted and snapped up by the top national clubs. So either our scouts have become immense and we are spotting them before the Santos scouts. Or alternatively something silly is going on.

This is the club he plays for: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clube_Atl%C3%A9tico_do_Porto They are not in a national league. Every season they enter a competition which has the prize of a place in the football league: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Campeonato_Brasileiro_S%C3%A9rie_C This was the level Fumaca was playing at. They have failed to qualify for this tournament 6 times in the last ten years. Otherwise, they compete in the Second Division of their Regional League: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Campeonato_Pernambucano_(lower_levels) This is their most prominent player of all time: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emmanuel_Danilo_Clementino_Silva

It's not even a league club. Every year, that club must play in a knockout tournament in which the winner gets promoted into the Brazilian Football League

Bye thread.

Why wait almost two months to ask?

He's got a natural talent in my opinion, same of which can only be said about Owen and Given here. If he had the physical attributes, he'd be playing week-in week-out for one of the world's biggest teams.
