  1. Lovenkrands probably plays better off a bruiser, and Duff will get into the box. It is a no brainer after the last performance.
  2. We were terrible last game, it's just West Brom were even worse. This is a terrible first XI. Pathetic. That is because we are terrible, but at least we got players in an around the box last game, which is what we really need. Martins andJonas are for carpet teams playing from the back that will try to dominate possession, but we can't play like that.
  3. I agree with giving this team. I liked the balance, and shoehorning Jonas or Martins in would disrupt the balance found in the last game. Now time will tell if the last game is a one off, or have we indeed found the balance.
  4. Krul is on the bench. I REALLY hope he isn't now So do I in a strangely perverted way.
  5. cant see him ever managing Man U I can't see him replacing Fergie, but I can see him replacing the sacked replacement for Fergie.
  6. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/7902769.stm Going to be an item about this on Radio Five Live tonight. Not a very good article, it has to be said, in that it has failed to address explanations for such piracy.
  7. people are just fed up with the whole circus that evolves around him imo, his shit attitude and the fact his transfer and wages have made a real dent into our finances which has affected our ability to sign other players I haven't noticed a circus recently, he hasn't done anything to show a bad attitude, granted we've been dented financially, but that wasn't really anyone's fault, it is just one of those things.
  8. Wow, where has this sudden hatred boiled out from everyone. Come from nowhere, have I missed something?
  9. I dreamt about him last night. We beat Man Utd 1-0 and he scored
  10. Been told that Krul will be on the bench and that there is a rotation with Forster going on atmo.
  11. If they can spare it why not. Be nice to see some of the leagues players donate some too. A load of tv pundits have donated iirc.
  12. Because it would fuck up attendances of lower-league games.
  13. We'd agreed to sign him before he'd even travelled to Spain. I vaguely remember the co-owned thing, Danubio had 50%, Valencia had the other 50% iirc.
  14. They've not sold him they loaned him, I'm guessing he doesn't have a Spanish passport so they would count as a foreigner meaning he would have to play for the Valencia B side (Name escapes me) so they probably figured loaning him here would be good, money off the wage bill, chance to play. Why get him then? "money off the wage bill, chance to play" Exactly, why did Valencia get him if they wanted him off the wage bill at the earliest opportunity?

  16. I think its something you won't see mentioned as although likelihood decreases over time, there are still potential complications particularly while he remains in hospital unfortunately.
  17. Geremi, but Butt over Smith everytime. At least with Butt you know you might get one decent game every now and then.
  18. djmattis, how many times do we have to tell people that requesting PMs is against the rules?

    Conor Newton

From the sounds of things we were playing with older kids so should have been expected to win both, but only won one.

    Top bloke !

Clever thinking ! Surely if you were looking for an England No. 2 you would want someone who's used to playing every week, not someone who is a specialist at sitting on the bench?! His point was that someone that's playing every week isn't used to being called on at the last minute, and so doesn't perform. Harper would be used to that and would be more able to play at his best on short notice. But they're used to playing, so they'll be able to play! Peter Bonetti. Ian Walker. Nigel Martyn. A sub keeper needs to be warm and sharp and ready and waiting when called upon. There has in the past been huge problems with typically first choice keepers finding that they are on the bench, and not properly approaching the game pre-match or during match, and therefore aren't at their best when called upon.
  21. Wasn't Arestidou on loan here earlier this season?
