  1. Apparently there are quite a few empty seats, although the atmosphere sounds good.

  4. I reckon we are going to absolutely destroy Bolton today.

    The Team Photo?

Someone needs to rehost the picture btw. I'd do it, but my connection is currently shot to shit.
  6. It is Wullie's birthday. Duff to score, nailed on.
  7. I'm a bit wary of getting anyone from the Belgian league, seeing as 'Gooch' plays for the champions. Doesn't he play with Alkmaar or someone in the Dutch league? Standard Liege Its deff Alkmaar. Has he just moved in the last week or so, because I remember seeing him in an interview saying he'd like another chance in the Premiership, as part of the pre-match build up when Liege played Liverpool. Anyway, to defeat my own argument, Gooch might turn out to be a good player eventually and Phillipe Albert wasn't too bad, was he? It is definitely Alkmaar. Last time he wore Liege colours was in their youth team six years ago.
  8. I don't rate N'Zogbia anymore, he is all unfulfilled potential. In short, he's our second best left back, our fourth best left winger, and our eighth best central midfielder.
  9. He might be playing, but it is in a situation of zero credibility. A few years back, I was at a surreal game where Leon Cort and Tesfaye Bramble played in the same team, Bramble missed a penalty, and the home team got relegated at St. James's Park.
  10. I like it how one Cort brother has climbed up the leagues, and one has fallen down beyond the lowest possible depths.
  11. Pocognolli, Turan, Berbatov.
  12. With the success of :colo: and to a lesser extent why not get our creative brains/skills together to produce a few more NUFC themed smileys. I'm no artist, but how about this: + grey perm = King Kev?
  13. Apparently if they can't get the permit the deal's off. Can't see it not going through like, but weird how he has to reapply after 3 years in the prem. Does this mean that say if Martins was to give up playing for Nigeria we'd not be able to sell him to anyone else in England, or even Europe? I thought he was on the bench, or was that Amady?

    Tiago on loan?

Thought they had jumped us in the race for Arda Turan? Just looked at Wikipedia, there are some agent quotes that I haven't seen before saying that we are leading the race, although I reckon they are made up personally.
  15. We'll play the same team again I reckon, and the only thing I'd personally change would be Enrique for Zog.

    Alan Smith

Very telling I think that Duff has replaced Smith as fourth choice striker, and that Smith didn't even come off the bench. I don't think Keegan rates him, and Smith will be taking that wage cut Everton are offering him by September 1st.
  17. I'm pessimistic, in that I think anyone we'll sign will appear to be steady, average meh signings, if we even sign anyone at all, and people are going to be complaining about it hugely - think Rossi and Sibierski. Having said that, I'm optimistic that these people will be proved wrong.
  18. KK, Guthrie and Taylor at the club shop.
