It is possible that we gave Valencia the money, but they can only loan him to us this season due to the two clubs per season rule.

Makes you wonder why they bothered to sign him then... ... they have just signed him right? I'm not missing something am i? He signed for Valencia today. It is thought that Valencia owned half his economic rights, as is the practice at Spanish clubs atmo, but exercised their option to buy him outright in the attempt to get more money from him in the future.

The question I'm asking is not what you expect us to do with the players we've got, but your expectations of the club full stop.

As we saw last season, coming 12th is avoiding relegation.

For me, top half plus entertainment is a minimum, but I can't see why we can't challenge for a UEFA Cup spot, or even get a run at 5th place if luck runs in our favour.

I think the reason for so many differing opinions regarding who we need to sign is down to people holding different expectations as to what the club should be aiming to do for this season. While the transfer window remains open, what were your expectations for this season, and why?

Tsunami, genuine questions: What do you think is needed to save our season? And what do you think is a 'saved season', top 4, top 6, Europe, what?
