Agree with Toon' Taylor that we can't be certain that everything will work out perfectly. There is an element of a gamble, and all seems very short term, but I do think its the best we can do.

Unlikely he can speak much English I'd say. But that is where Rozehnal and N'Zogbia can help.

If he's a better centre back than one of the best centre backs last season in Essien, he must be good.

I don't know about others, but for me, since he has been at Leeds, Alan Smith has always looked like a player who would one day play for Newcastle. I dont know why, he just had the look. I thought the same about Duff and Butt, and look where they are now.
