  1. It won't be linked to season tickets/membership, its entirely seperate. I'm not sure how the tickets will work, but I would imagine it'll be first come serve. I'm not even sure there will be much segregation between fans, if any at all, its not all that common in women's football. Also with regards to the choice of stadium, I would be amazed if they changed it, they made quite a big thing of it being there and I wouldn't imagine in precious years they have got much of an attendance. Hopefully we can change that this year, but travel looks like a nightmare!
  2. First time ive been able to watch them live this season, and the the standard is so much better than last season! Couple of observations - Should have had the game wrapped up by half time! Our keeper made a great save just before half time, that shows the difference it makes having an actual goalkeeper coach at the club (which is extremely rare in the women's game outside of the WSL). We need to learn some game management, 7 minutes added on after we scored, and not once did we take it to the corner, which allowed them a couple of chances to equalise. As someone else has already said, the final being in Luton is absolutely ridiculous! Great result though, and you could see what the occasion meant to the players
  3. Anyone know if you can use your magpie mover tomorrow? I can't see anything so I'm assuming not
  4. Also agree that location is key! It's easier for Arsenal fans to get to the Emirates than it is Borehamwood!
  5. I think kingston park will be fine for a while. The long term aim has to be a combination of doing what Man City do (sharing a smaller stadium with the academy) and what Arsenal have done (having more games at the men's stadium). Arsenal have been brilliant at gradually building the fan base, to the point where they sold 60,000 seats for their WSL game last weekend. As a result, their average attendance this season is currently higher than 9 Premier league teams!!!
  6. Took a -4 for Allison, now he's out
  7. Portsmouth at home in the semi-final to be played 25th Feb They're top of the Southern League, so basically on par with us!
  8. I think this was a cup game, they've just posted something saying 'semi-final bound'
  9. Really suprised by the man u line up, they're definitely not taking any risks!! Particularly suprised Earps is starting as she's put of contract in the summer and rumoured to leave in this window, plus their 2nd keeper is very good!!
  10. Thing is she's normally always fit!! Her girlfriend has just left the NWSL and joined West Ham so they could live together, bet she'll be regretting that decision!!
  11. Really suprised there hasn't been anything announced for a game at St James, they've definitely missed an opportunity to build some momentum there! In separate women's news (not sure where to put it) Sam Kerr has done her ACL!! Huge blow for her, for Chelsea, and for Australia!!
  12. The championship is a completely different beast, lots of teams who have been investing in their women's teams for a good few years. Huge step up, and massive investment will be needed, but I think that's why they got the guy in from forest, he knows the league really well!!
  13. It was probably more around thinking he would play on Tuesday! Now looks like he'll do both anyway!

    England

Unbelievable ending that! They must be gutted, but they had loads more chances to score in that second half!!

    England

This goalkeeper is one of the worst I've seen in a while! Don't judge them all by her standards!!!
  16. Yea it is a strange situation! 2012 was the first year we had a GB team, so maybe it just feels weird because of that. Obviously the players would still love to be part of it though! I think Little has retired and Weir has done her acl, so I actually think cuthbert is the only Scottish player would get in the squad, or certainly the only one who would have a chance of any game time. Looking at the Wales squad, probably only Ingle would be a decent Good start for England!!
  17. Love that the media are trying to hype up this narrative! Th Scottish players are absoluley raging about it! I reckon only 1, maybe 2 would make the squad, but outside of the USA, the Olympics is not regarded as that big of a deal in women's football anyway!
  18. Wolves losing is good, I would definitely expect them to be up there at the end of the season. Most likely the league will be won by very small margains given only 12 (I think) teams on league, so it's so important not to drop points to lower teams, and then not to lose against the top teams!!
  19. Managed to get a very last minute ticket for this!! First game of the season after being unsuccessful in a number of ballots! Off to Banyan but hearing its full of Dortmund fans!
  20. Yea its weird that they havnt announced any games at SJP Park yet. They're definitely missing out capitalising on the lionesses success over the summer. Arsenal got 54k at the Emirates last week!!!
  21. They're playing top of the table Burlney this Sunday, 2pm at Kingston Park. Would be good to get a decent few along given there is no men's football on!!
  22. It wasn't time wasting on this occasion though!! She went to kick it, realised her option was blocked, so readjusted to play it short!! Only 38 minutes gone too! No need for a second yellow at all!!
  23. They ended the game with 9!! Plus there was 8 minutes added on, but they played 12, which allowed chelsea (the women's equivalent of Liverpool) to equalise!!!
