Sports Direct might just be the start. It could be the fucking B&Q DIY Made Easy Arena next year. Having said that, I guarantee it'd be the bloody Virgin Arena.
-
Who we going to buy for £20 quid you cheap slut Hey, every little helps. If we're gonna prostitute ourselves we might as well do it properly.
-
Like we should aspire to be Chelsea, ffs. Everything fucking rotten about football in one club.
-
Fuck it. I'd let Mike Ashley do me up the dirtbox if it meant an extra £20 in the transfer kitty.
-
I don't think it'll affect the players or our form one bit. It just saddens a number of increasingly apathetic fans. In fact I'm not even sure I could say 'most' fans any more. I'm not a Geordie so I find it strange that defacing the stadium annoys me more than some. Because you're a Yorkshireman therefore old-fashioned and intransigent. All the kids love Sports Direct. D'you want a Sports Direct cap? D'ya want a cap? D'ya want a Sports Direct umbrella? A Sports Direct golf umbrella? Fishing umbrella? With Sports Direct on it?

'Arena', ffs. GLARDIATERRRSH RRREADY.
-
Might finally be time to get that Sports Direct tattoo I've been considering.
-
I'm coming home Newcastle: if ye never win the Cup again I'll brave the dark at the Sports Direct Arena at the Superb Discounts On All Top Brands end in the rain

The fact that money from the shirts/poppy symbol is going to support a military body is enough for FIFA to say, "Like fuck". They can't afford to set a precedent. It's nowt to do with international football which is what this boils down to. Sometimes matches occur that are played in politically-charged circumstances: matches with Israel, the Koreas, some African games, etc. FIFA has to ensure that ultimately the game is simply a match between two football sides.
-
It's got nowt to do with football and even less so if we start bringing current military action into the equation. To say it's not political is naive in the extreme.

Why do they want to wear them now all of a sudden? Surely there are other ways to show respect? Although, I suspect it's easier to simply wear a flower than to actually attempt to modify your behaviour or actually, y'know, do something.

It's bullshit, man. Get him on a plane business class, book him into a nice hotel while everything's getting sorted. Get it done in a few days.
-
Might as well go for it. Even if we get done 5-0: well, it's no worse than Man Utd.
-
You'd think they could offer him a ticket on one of them airplane thingies. Perhaps the services of a translator.

Was chatting with the bird about wedding venues and she jokingly mentioned SJP. Thing is, I wouldn't even consider it now. Imagine the wedding photos with fucking http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/9974/lazyfatkernt.jpg all over them. No, ta.

Who Has Been The Greater Manc Defender: Vidic or Ferdinand?
Keefaz replied to The College Dropout's topic in Football
Ferdinand has had spells when he's been very poor. -
Never thought Jenas was up to much, tbh. Had a lot of good players around helping him out. When the time came for him to start driving the team he was found wanting.
-
Aye, let's bring in an 18 year old Coloccini, an 18 year old Peter Schmeichel, and an 18 year old Zidane.
-
Al-Habsi's too good for them. In fact, I'd say he muscat a move in summer. Muscat a move.
-
They outclass us in every department, but I've been surprised by most results/performances so far this season. Anything could happen, tbh.
-
Woodgate was immense, like. Hard to believe nowadays.
-
I dunno, he wasn't bad. Especially in the 06/07 season, where him, Saylor and the two keepers were the only ones to come out with any credit. Aye, but in his first season he was so poor we couldn't wait to offload him.

Nicky Butt. Remember thinking, "Shame to lose Gary Speed, but Butt, if anything, is an upgrade." False.
