Why funny? Thought it was more about Eduardo more than anything else.

MOTD replays of the tackle: nearly threw-up
-
Lowest is the mackems, obviously. Surely he means lowest for all 3 teams? Doh.

It does look like him, but the mouth belongs to someone else.

I was waiting for someone to post that.

Good news.
-
Typo? I could understand if he was talking about Milner. He IS a fucking ape.
-
Just not much of a defender. Only ever looks any good when up the other end.

That's what I thought. Not just bones, but tendons, ligaments, you name it.

Can't defend for toffee, one-footed, dribbles into trouble, can't head a ball, never smiles.
-
Whenever I see him on TV, he looks like something from Jim Henson's Workshop.

There won't--and shouldn't--be a lifetime ban, but the punishment shouldn't be predicated on the intent of the offender. If they show the tackle to have been dangerous, he should be punished. Intent seems to be an issue for the FA. Didn't the dog wanker down the road get punished for stating in his biography he deliberately went after someone on the pitch? Sorry, I mean intent should be punished: if you go out on the pitch to hurt someone, you should get banned, but if someone gets hurt through a bad tackle--even if it wasn't malicious--they should also be punished.

http://ft.mirror.waffleimages.com/files/3f/3f18e3b23ec3c52249b21403ddf9f4ecd8c17af9.jpg I don't understand why some people can't look at that? Is this the photo referenced in the first post on the thread? His sock is covering everything up If the flesh was exposed and you could see the bone and some blood or whatever then I can see people being squeamish but that's nothing. Anyway, hope Eduardo recovers well even if he is a cheating twat. I dunno. I didn't want kids' parents berating me for giving them nightmares.

http://www.premiersouthrealty.com/xSites/Agents/premiererealtors/Content/UploadedFiles/crystal%20ball.jpg Having said that, he reckons Liverpool's performance against Inter was one of the finest European performances he's ever seen and that C. Ronaldo isn't much cop.

Quelle fucking surprise.

Liverpool, you shitbags, sort it out.

This. What did he say? Re: Gallas. Something like "There's being disappointed, and there's being daft, you're being daft son, get up" Keys is a cunt.

Which will happen first: * He gets booked * He has a shot * He tells the linesman to fuck off

My dad rang me first thing this morning to say we'll keep it down to a couple of goals, which is pretty optimistic for him.

An honest, hardworking, modest kid. He goes through the hells of croatian&brazilian leagues both on & off the pitch. Goes on to shine on the big stage, mesmerizing everyone with his talent and his loving personality. One saturday afternoon he loses his left foot due to a brainless, yet sadly, not rarely seen type of tackle, this time credited to bloke named Martin Taylor. A month later this latter bloke is playing his wits out once again on those beautiful premiership fields, seldom remembering that brazilian wonderkid he sent to the hospital only a few weeks ago. Oh the joys of life. I don't give a flying f.ck about my nation's side, upcoming euro, or anything alike, i just feel for that hard working kid who just had his life's work literally shattered. Jebemu mater u pičku i sve. He can recover. They can perform medical miracles nowadays, so we might be writing him off too soon.

I can't understand anybody defending that, pathetic. The thick fucker isn't even sliding. He's launching himself onto the guy's leg! His whole body weight would have come down on his leg. Isn't even looking for the ball. This is all down to the bully them tactical speech, no doubt about it. Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. You can quite clearly see from that photo, Kaka, that Eduardo has pushed the ball past Taylor. Taylor's reactions were just too slow. Judging from the clip on YouTube, crappy as it may be, Taylor's challenge was clumsy but not malicious. Without seeing the clip from various angles, it is difficult to categorically state either way, but I would barter that Eduardo is as much as victim as his own skill as he is Taylor's tackle. The problem nowadays is that players such as Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Eduardo et al are so quick on the ball that they leave defenders trailing in their wake. Please do not misread this - I am NOT blaming Eduardo, as that would be daft. Taylor's challenge warranted a red card but I suspect Eduardo's sleight of foot was just too quick for Taylor. to be honest, I am surprised that more players of Eduardo's class have not suffered similar injuries, as defenders are constantly sprawling out after being 'owned.' I hope that Eduardo recovers and I also hope that people try not to throw the book at Taylor before viewing all the evidence. We have one dodgy replay and few photos. Let the FA do the deciding. While I agree, trying to win the ball in that fashion is dangerous and should be a red card as the day is long. 99 times out of a 100 nothing would've happened and Eduardo would've skipped away, but to lunge uncontrollably like that is too dangerous to be allowed to continue.

I dunno. It's a terrible tackle, but it did happen very quickly. At first glance, it seemed to me he was trying to play the ball and didn't care whether he followed through or not. The camera angle we saw it from wasn't the best to judge his intent.
