Yeh that's what i was thinking, does anyone know what the back of the shirt looks like? Bright pink Comic Sans, I hear.

Going by that, ours is most pleasing to the eye at least. Like the rolling hills of the Northumberland countryside.

Disregarding all that crap, you're asking would I be happy if we stayed mid-table for the next three seasons? No, not really. The kind of progress that manifests itself in a one position jump up the league table is barely progress at all.
-
just like when you ignore the league table, MON and Coleman are better managers than Roeder Yeah, just like that, but at the same time totally and utterly different. well how else do you rate strikers and managers? I think the similarity is fucking obvious to anyone but a moron You rate strikers according to the league table?

just like when you ignore the league table, MON and Coleman are better managers than Roeder I have no idea what that means.

I know it's starting to become a cliche, but he's a good goalscorer but a pretty fucking poor footballer.

I think that's bollocks tbh. Should nobody be content at NUFC then? Should they all see themselves as too good and be looking to move on? I think Dyer is well aware that we're probably about his level. He's been here a while, and his football and fucking stagnated. That much is obvious to anyone. The club is going nowhere. He has 2-3 years of top football left in him if he's lucky. He's here for the dough, obviously. Where do you think he should be targetting for his next move? Assuming he doesn't want to leave the country? Does the same apply to Parker, Duff, Given, Martins, Owen etc etc....the list goes on. If the club is going nowhere for Dyer, it's going nowhere for all of them too. You can't just apply this to Dyer because you don't like him. He's comfortable here. For what it's worth, Given's also comfortable here. For whatever reason. I know he's got a wife and kids and is settled here. Tbh, I don't think it's healthy for either player in terms of improving their football, but I have no qualms about keeping Given.

Surely this is what Ferguson's been coaching Ronaldo though? To use the ball better? That's part of a manager's job, isn't it?
-
It's not just his lack of ability that hurts us, it's the wages he takes from us, the time he spends out injured, his attitude off and on the pitch. The very fact that he seems comfortable here is an indication of how little he gives a toss about his game. If he was really trying to be a top player, he'd be itching for a move.

Sell him. I'm amazed even he wants to stay.

Really? I don't. I know why some people drink-drive. Can't comprehend it. I know why some people choose to live in a caravan. Fucking can't comprehend it. Not everyone can totally understand everyone elses choices. Doesn't seem so outlandish to me. One is a simple decision: I think I'll support Man Utd against Roma, the other (heroin) is most likely a complicated issue based on previous drug use, friends, where you grew up, ease of availability, etc. I don't think you'll find many people who suddenly go 'Oh, I think I'll become a crack addict this year'. Drink driving, then, or choosing to live in a caravan, or wearing bright yellow. It doesn't fucking matter which analogy you personnally like, it still stands. I know what you're saying. I can't quite get my head around it either.

I'd say Milan, but I'm pig sick of them.

I'm pretty sure that heroin anaology is flawed like!

Dunno, like. If Athletico Bilbao were facing Man U, I'd want Bilbao to win. I could choose another half dozen European teams I'd like to see beat Man Utd, tbh.
-
'They should give man of the match to the whole team'... Aye, whatever.
-
Apparently... Did he block it with his massive arse or his insanely fat head?

Emre started upfront after Dyer went off, or 'off the striker', whatever. But then after about 5 minutes CNZ went up top Emre was definitely playing off Martins for a bit, but I couldn't really see where Zog was supposed to be playing. It was definitely in CM at first and he drifted forward later on, but I don't think even he knew where he should've been. He didn't help Martins out much.

Just got back. As a whole, we outplayed them for long spells, but we were really disappointing in the second half, I thought, especially as Arsenal were shocking; a better team would've hurt us when our performance dropped. Thought Butt had a really good game as did Milner. Emre did OK first half, but was awful in the second. Taylor looked decent, but Adebayor got in front of him a few times and he failed to read a few 1-2s that could've hurt us (if Arsenal were at the races). Gooch, well he's immense in the air, but the rest of his game's not up to much. Carr was alright, but some his passing is awful and the fat bastard can barely be arsed to run nowdays. Nobby did well today and he should take set-pieces off Emre. Duff was alright and actually quite good in parts: poor final ball and faded badly. Dyer was canny bad, he's been on a poor run of games. Martins was Martins, basically: our change of formation didn't help him one bit in the second half. N'Zogbia was appalling, imo, when he came on. LUQUE!

Aye, but you have to keep Owen's name in the papers somehow.

Steadman should release a game for real: Sport Surgeon 2008. It'd be awesome.
