It's been such an odd window its hard to rule anything out. Some weird extremes, from world class players like Trippier and Guimarães and being in talks with Zapata, Carlos, Botman etc.. to not quite so world class Wood, Burn, Nketiah, Cantwell etc.

Gayles absolutely finished imo. Absolutely no way nketiah is a worse option than playing Gayle. We won't be paying through our arse for Nketiah. Its low risk, high reward. I wanted Zapata and feel we could do better than Nketiah but it is far from the worst option imo.

But he is cousins with Lee Dixon.

I don't mind this at all. He is a Gayle upgrade. Pacey, can play across the front and gets in the right positions to score. He is hungry to succeed. Definitely dissapointed this is the end of any Zapata/nunez/world class striker of the hour talk. It's a smart move though like Burn.

Bit of a shitter if West Ham get Ekitike and we end up with Nketiah. Do think Nketiah has potential though.

Nketiah is better than no-one else for sure. Bit of a comedown from Zapata and the other Crazy likely un-realistic options. He will hit the ground running though and offer some pace and movement. Maybe he is a fall back from Lingard and we want him on the attacking flanks?

I think we should all be prepared for "unpopular" players starting with new signings on the bench vs Everton, unless they have played in the PL before. Howe is normally pretty strict with easing players in.

It's loan with option (or obligation) to buy from all reports. They are reportedly chasing a replacement with Origi number one on the list. If liverpool get Diaz then it could be a goer. I think they have been happy to keep origi though.

Lingard/Zapata/Alli all potential loans. Feel like Alli is a no goer as we could and would have already brought him in.
