  1. In fairness there has been lots of talk we had an un-named DM/CM target. We were linked with Haidara but that was never a started when he said he wouldn't move until the summer. This could have been one we were working on for a while. To be honest it would have to be for him to have any interest at all in coming.
  2. Hold the phone. Someone created a welcome to Newcastle video for him 15 minutes ago. IT IS ON.
  3. Didn't agree to terms before we bid for him.. he will turn us down.
  4. Bollocks. Clubs don't accept our bids.
  5. Sevilla, Lille, Reims, Burnley, Manure... No one wants to deal with us unless we are going to piss money down the drain and let ourselves be rinsed.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10440593/Brighton-Burnley-Everton-ready-hijack-Newcastles-Tottenham-outcast-Dele-Alli.html Brighton, Burnley, Everton or Dortmund too. Brighton or Dortmund would actually be a canny move for him tbf.

    Jeff Hendrick

Heard he has been a revelation in training, playing in a new position as a CB. #believe Ie: Believe that there is truth in the Middlesborough move.
  8. Burnley aren't selling Tarkowski to us unless we pay twice or three times what he is worth. He was absolutely immense against Arsenal. He could be the difference between them surviving or going down. Depends whether they already have admitted defeat staying up (can't see that). Gamble Tarkowski is a difference maker enough to keep them up and lose out on 10-20m or take the money as relegation insurance and spin the wheel they could still stay up. It would be a true hammer blow to supporters and team morale though if they let him leave now. They still have a chance at staying up.
  9. All the Liverpool supporters I know absolutely love Nat Philips for what that is worth. Agree it would be hugely underwhelming, if not a poor move. Feel like their love is born out of the same kind of love we would have for a youth player coming through and holding his own in our time of need, despite clearly being a bit shit. Think they basically love him because even though he wasn't ready to be thrown in after signing him, he held his own in their injury crisis. Not convinced Phillips would improve us more than playing a fit again Fernandez. I would prefer the latter tbh.
  10. Nat Phillips is solid but zero pace, which is the opposite of what Howe wants.
  11. Saw that yesterday but chose to ignore it existed! We are going from Botman/Carlos and Haidara to Nate Phillips and Alli to Dan Burn and Ross Barkley then to the championship. Ok knee jerk over. So much paper talk and unlikely many people have any clue where we are at or who we are close to. All part of the ride!
  12. Going to be amazing when the window slams shut and we don't get Carlos, but Monchi is announced new DoF. Passed the audition.
  13. Nat Phillips wouldn't be the worst fall back. (Linked in daily fail on loan) Not the pacey CB we want but has done well in the league. Could see it being a fall back for sure.
  14. Probably the best chance to cash in on him for this kind of money with him 29 in a couple of months. On the flipside he could be the difference between them pipping Real for the title or not. I wouldn't want to sell and distrupt their momentum either. Maybe the 5-10m depreciation selling in the summer is worth gambling on. That said, having a pissed off player in the ranks that knows he is leaving in the summer isnt great for squad morale either.
  15. While I think this is just either brinkmanship or BS. It's a good move. Especially if we really do want two CBs in. Show clubs we will walk. Go get the other one now. Just forces Sevilles hand come deadline day. Still think he will be ours.
  16. Dan Burn here we come!
  17. Could be that too. Players like that are always in high demand and not lacking suitors either way.
  18. Yep! It is chaos at Watford, worse at Everton. Norwich have some consistency but might not have enough quality, likewise Burnley. Like the latter two we might lack a bit of quality but our camp is absolutely united together, fans, ownership and staff all pushing in the right direction with positivity. Hopefully we pull away and before it goes down to the wire!
  19. Everton fans? Seems like its Pereira the board want. Could end well if thats the case! Edit: Apologies, just saw this, if this is what you were talking about https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/everton-pull-away-naming-vitor-26038340
  20. Nothing to say they don't spend before window end too.
  21. Huge pressure Everton getting their appointment right.
  22. Hodgson will just be in it for the short term. They would appoint someone new in the summer whether they stay up or go down. Can't see Woy wanting another full time gig tbh.

    Jesse Lingard

Alli was always a go to on Fifa career mode. Was proper gutted we lost out on him to Spurs and the proceeding 6/7 years that rubbed it in. While we desperately need a DM. Alli would be like Wilson, one I have always wanted here.
