Reminded me of his banshee cry and swan dive earlier in the season when someone brushed his face. -

Good half, we need to silence Sturridge. Should have scored at least three. Debatable call for offside when Robinson would have been sent off and us 2-0 up. Was tight think the officials got it right though, only saw one replay though. -

Get in nolan -
Good god, RIP. Really great play, shock this is. Should still be playing ffs.

Would be physically sick if we spend money on Carlton Cole. As a footballer he is a guttless, talentless, spineless, Waste of skin.

This club has gone in cycles for the last 10 years and I can confidently say that Option 2 is most likely. Never underestimate the potential for disaster when Mike Ashley is here. Most likely Ashley will shock us with a 15-20m decent signing..pick a few freebies up things will be looking up with everyone happy then we will sell Enrique, Tiote and give Alan Smith a new five year contract.

Anyone have Taye Taiwo's number? Get it done.

Whatcha gonna do when Kuqis name comes up? (not in a Hulk Hogan kind of way, although ripping your shirt up would be understandable)

This mainly. He just doesnt have the presence or x-factor. The attributes mentioned earlier are fair, he is average to good alround and will chip in while the chances are being created. Dont see much about him that says he can dominate, create somthing out of nothing and change a game though. Happy to be wrong about him, he is motivated and hungry to improve and succeed and he is still young. I dont know where he fits in past this summer though. He doesnt offer enough different to be an impact sub and he clearly wont accept being a squad player (which is a good thing).
-
Probably waiting like Enrique to see if we are safe and what the clubs intent is over the summer. I would. Its also possible that the club is waiting to use it as a PR boost too. If he is going to sign it why not wait until we can use that as a morale boost. I think they will both sign if we finish well. Doesnt mean we wont sell both.

I would echo the thoughts on here that Woodgate is one of the best CB's I have ever seen play for us. Also I completely agree he changed the side when he played. The back four was completely different with/without him. He was a true leader who added calm and organized the back. He worked well with bramble sweeping up any mistakes and letting bramble sit a little higher. Woodgate was truley immense when fit for us. Colo doesnt inspire as much confidence although he is brimming with it right now. He is increasingly better on the ball and much more of a flair player than Woodgate, his runs forward against Blackburn and Birmingham were immense. There is however more chance of seeing a him drop a clanger than Woodgate, Colo takes alot more risks. Woodgate would make more last ditch well timed tackles, but that could be a sign of how much pressure we were under back then. Williamson is a poor mans Woodgate, he uses his brain, plays to his strengths, keeps its simple and anticipates danger pretty well. He is a good match with Colo for keeping the calm, although he lacks the pace to really accel past this level imo. Colo has been a rock this season and proved all his doubters wrong. He certatinly still has time to improve aswell. He is quite different to Woodgate though so the comparison is a little tainted. Obviously given Woodgates injury problems no-one would want him ahead of Colo, but when fit at his peak there were few better I have seen. Colo Woodgate as a partnership would be a more acceptable discussion. Comparisons by careers to Ferdinand have no basis for argument but at their best I would pick Woodgate. I am biased though.
