  1. Ploughing down that DM list of targets! Soaring ever closer to McTominay
  2. Good performance from the states. Absolute ass from Canada. Didn't show up. Think the team is running out of steam and passing the honeymoon period for Herdman. A divide with the CSA isn't helping. The program is decades behind the states though in terms of structure and investment into youth and all areas of the game. The CPL and soon to be countrywide L1 leagues will help but it's a long game. The depth of the states roster is impressive.
  3. Hopefully but I think he is too expensive for this window.
  4. It's taken 9 months to sew it back on and heal.

    England

Only 3 up against Malta after 70 minutes. SOUTHGATE OUT
  6. Wtf happened I turned it on for the last minute and the commentators were making out like it was the darkest moment in Concacaf history and there would be repercussions. Sounded like Mexican fans were being Mexican fans with their homophobic chanting. They should be dumped out of the Gold cup tbh. This continues to happen despite warnings and fines.
  7. Mike Hooper felt like he should have been a number 3 or 4 lol
  8. It doesn't totally line up. Would be a MASSIVE statement of intent though. - Having to break our wage structure dramatically which Eddie has said isn't happening. - He is a life long Inter fan, they are doing well and just got to CL final. Seems weird he is willing to leave. - Hard to believe if he was available a ton of other clubs would be bidding. Clearly a smokescreen for McTominay.
  9. I mean that's the backup plan if Inter turn down our bid for Barella.
  10. Get ready for a summer of threads like this.. I'm reeled in.
  11. Luke in high wind up over drive? Would be a great signing.
  12. Sizeable list. Best of luck to those departing. Likely not an easy undertaking for the manager and staff to cut that many loose. I was Interested to see how they would evolve with the step up a league. 10 stronger additions could be a real game changer though if they recruit the right people. Exciting off season ahead for the lasses.
  13. Alternative to Nmecha.. would count as home grown too. Stock down though and would cost more. Loan might be possible though. https://thehardtackle.com/transfer-news/2023/06/13/newcastle-united-and-aston-villa-keen-on-matteo-guendouzi/
  14. Class moves. So odd to be a professionally run club.
  15. How do spuds fans feel? If he doesn't get good results off the bat they will likely turn on him and make it very difficult.
  16. Thought chalobah looked good against us.
  17. BDB will likely be back as a CB next season too. Pretty sure we will still get a RCB but Botman, Schar, Lascelles, Burn and Krafth as backup is already there. Interested to see how Alex Murphy, McArthur and Savage have developed this year too. Kelland watts is coming back from loan too.
  18. The alarm bells go off anytime is read that a player has been "offered to Newcastle." Usually means they end up at Villa, West Ham or Nottingham Forest. If we were interested we would get it done largely silently without being "offered the player" always seems like they are damaged goods. Howe likes a project though.
  19. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/65570733 A lot of Brighton fans voting I guess? Get voting people.
  20. Hoping for 5 first team additions. As already mentioned in the press, a RCB, LB, DM another attacking wide/central mid and a versatile forward. Expect we will get 3 or maybe 4. I do expect an influx in the youth/reserves on top of that. That said this will be the 3rd if not 4th window I expected that. They are keeping it steady.
  21. Closer to spurs and arsenal. Brighton and Palace are direct rivals.. for reasons I have forgotten!
  22. Think we will be working hard to get players in as soon as possible. We will need to act quicker for some targets. The above will hinder for sure.
  23. As much as that's true, working with Levy must be as much of a turn off. It's like the "who would want to come work under Ashley" years. Until he goes or steps back so he isn't undermining the manager/coaches spuds will always be a hand tied behind the back.
