  1. HTL and NE5, can I ask you a simple yes or no question...........do you think Shepherd is doing a good job as chairman of this football club??
  2. Word on the street is Christian Dailly. : I shit you not.
  3. Niiiiiiiiice..........I can also good old local boy Robbie 'he's never let United down' Elliott coming in to, as he can play left back and centre half. I love the transfer window me.
  4. NUFC's spending power = http://www1.istockphoto.com/file_thumbview_approve/451710/2/istockphoto_451710_loose_change.jpg
  5. Let's hope so, anything over £4M would be lunacy given our needs elsewhere on the pitch.
  6. Niiiiiiiiice. Just posted that little pearler on skunkers if you don't mind.
  7. No break according to Sky. Badly cut and bruised but not broken. What did he need a stretcher for, the fucking hom?
  8. Although one of my great hopes in football is to see Souness' heart explode in the dugout and a tearful Saunders desperately try to save him, I'd quite happily watch him throw a seven in the directors box of his new club.
  9. Thing is mate, I don't consider charging around diving into challenges all the time to be the way the DCM role should be played. I think he's crap at it so we'll never agree. Anyway, assuming you select him, would you STILL persist with his partnership with Emre? Even though it obviously doesn't work? And it really doesn't work, mate. Surely you can see that? Agreed that it's not a great partnership.......but why is it Parker's fault? Parker has actually outscored Emre since he's been here and despite being a gifted player, Emre has hardly pulled up any trees since he arrived has he?
  10. He does. As does Dyer. Neither of them have any f***ing clue about playing in position. That, for me, is why Emre and Parker never look good together (another lesser reason being Emre's obvious deficiencies). Parker wanders around, and Emre isn't disciplined enough to cover it. When Emre plays with Butt, a player who knows how to play in a position, Emre looks a lot better. PARKER WANDERS AROUND??? Was anyone here at the Spurs game? Or the MANU game for that matter. Actually, I wish I knew just how many times Ronaldo lost the ball, failed to beat his man, missed a pass, shot miles wide etc etc the other night. I guess none of that begins to compare with the sariousness of Parker passing back to Shay from kick-off.... I suggest you start thinking of more than one or two games and a couple of incidents. Think Big Picture. What, like last season where Parker was our best outfield player by a country mile? Yea, the season where we were headed towards relegation, couldn't score goals and played the worst football this club has seen since the Dalglish era. That must be the season you're talking about, right? It surely can't be the second half of the season where we went on a run because Parker had glandular fever and our central midfield pairing was Emre/Faye/Bowyer/Dyer (for a couple of games). Mate, I was a Parker fan. I lauded his contributions and thought he was the only player consistently showing heart. I've always thought this of him and thought that if we were to lose him, we'd be in big trouble. However, during the times that we did lose him (like the end of last season and the recent run we had), we played better football, scored more goals and last season, sneaked into Europe. Now I'm not saying Parker's shite because all that harrying and hustling is a good quality however, it's just not a positive for the team, and the only thing we should all really care about is the team. Our central midfield lose shape because of Parker's lack of discipline, and because of the incompatibility between Emre and Parker, the attack is not supported with quality or consistency from the central midfield spots. His passing is also below average, which is why you rarely see a forward pass from him - he also doesn't have the vision needed. Emre does, but the opportunities to utilize this vision is limited because he has defensive duties, something which an attacking midfielder shouldn't have much of. Since last season, I've seen more and more evidence that we are better off without Parker in the center of midfield and recent results have supported this theory. Apart from Tottenham (where Bowyer had his only decent game for the club) and Chelsea (who played their reserves), 3 of those games were against the relegated teams and there was also victories against a piss poor Boro team and a fading Wigan at home.......not exactly conclusive evidence that his absence turned our season.

Think Big Picture. What, like last season where Parker was our best outfield player by a country mile? OMG. Graft and sweat. That's all he was last season too. Not much point in me posting about Parker anymore. Some of us can see the reality and others can't. I expect a load of u-turns when he eventually leaves, as we saw when Jenas left. Cheers Okay Mr Patronising.

  13. Blatant Reading penalty denied at 0-1.......could have changed the game.
  14. Yep. More league goals than the rest of the midfield put together............not bad for someone so hopeless? Dyer 2 + Duff 1 + Emre 1 = 4 Parker 3 = 3 Dyer was playing up front when he scored his goals. How about..... Emre 1 + Duff 1 + Milner 0 + N'Zogbia 0 + Butt 0 = 2 Parker 3 = 3

  16. Apart from winning a load of tackles, passing accurately and creating and scoring a goal, I thought he did fuck all in all honestly.
  17. Hmm, shame his performances counteract such a persuasive argument. Really?? Has more assists/goals than Emre & Butt between them.
  18. Aye, and he did nowt apart from that?!!
  19. Schmeichel in the 0-1 was outstanding.....cunt. But I thought Sir Les (when QPR beat us 2-1) was an absolute monster and ran us ragged, probably the best forward display I've seen from an opposition player. Ray Houghton was fantastic when Fulham won 4-1 and I can remember a young Lineker notching for Leicester and looking the part. Also, a young Kevin Campbell in the Leicester 5-4 looked very good. I also remember a lad playing for Swansea at the back end of the 70's called David Giles (looked a bit like Keegan). They won 3-1 and he notched 2 and was superb.....am amazed he never went onto bigger things.
  20. Agreed. Roeder made a bad move by giving him a more attacking role this year, it simply disturbed his and Emre's game. (Therefore the whole team) Just shows how clueless Roeder is. Agree 100%.
  21. There's an interesting piece in True Faith about the AGM, well worth a read. In particular, what a total and utter parasite Douglas Hall is on the club. http://www.true-faith.co.uk/html/Features/2006AGM.htm
  22. Why would Everton want to move to a bigger ground anyway, they don't even sell out at Goodison nowadays (6,000 under capacity for the visit of the Champions on Sunday)?
  23. Agreed. I remember this moaning old git who used to sit beside me in the Milburn who always got on Andy Cole's case. He once uttered the line "He's a right lazy cunt that Cole, all he does is score goals".
