    Joey Barton

Nonsense, he was s*** against Cardiff, did much less than Barton. Comes on and provides an assist and he's the best midfielder at the club? Drivel. Drivel? You are a complete idiot. Who said I was basing it on the last game? **** me. So far this season Guthrie has been our best midfielder I can't see how anyone would say otherwise (see edit!). All these Barton lovers are just idiots, he had three decent games under Keegan and has done nothing else in a NUFC shirt. Guthrie and Smith is our best central midfield partnership and Barton will be lucky to scrape a place on the RW ahead of Geremi who is also better than him at the moment (hardly a great situation for our 'best midfielder' to be in is it?) Edit- Forgot about Smith, Guthrie is our best attacking minded midfielder I should say. Certainly ahead of Barton anyway. Anyway, I see you didn't even mention Smith but compared Guthrie's performances to Barton. Do you honestly think Barton is our best midfielder? Guthrie looked out of his depth in the premiership, Barton put in numerous motm performances for Man City. Therefore, him being a worse player than Guthrie, from an objective point of view, is drivel. That was a long long time ago now mind. I'd like to think he was still the same player, but I've seen absolutely nothing to suggest he is, in fact I cannot believe how far backwards he has gone since he came here, as yesterday was as bad a performance as I've seen from a Newcastle midfielder.....and I'm going back to people like Heard, Hodges and Oates.
  2. Matthew Harding......Matthew Harding......Matthew Harding......Matthew Harding......Matthew Harding......Matthew Harding...... We should be so lucky Knowing our luck, he'd be on his way to America to sell the club to Bill Gates and he'd fly straight into the Seattle Tower. And he'd leave the club to Dennis Wise in his will.

  4. As Shepherd and Moat are quite literally next door neighbours, and given Shepherd has at least £40m at his disposal, it's hard to see how he wouldn't be involved in some way.
  5. I would imagine he'll do what most other clubs do and borrow it.
  6. I heard last night that Moat has about £60m and that Ashley has agreed to act as guarantor on the remaining funds needed to buy the club. He (Moat) has supposedly put down a deposit and solicitors/accountants are drawing up the cotracts as to who owes what under different scenarios. It all sounds a bit complex to me, just passing on what I've been told.
  7. They've just announced a £3bn profit for the first half of the year, so they're hardly struggling. Bastards.

  9. Shepherd and Moat are next door neighbours, I simply don't believe that he is not involved in some way in the Moat bid.
  10. When he does his fist pumping and waving to his adoring crowd in front of the Milburn again, I'm going to calmly walk up and smash him over the head with a cosh. Seriously.
  11. I seriously doubt Taylor will be going anywhere and I have a feeling Smith might stay, not sure about Jonas. Hopefully we can sell Coloccini and I'd be delighted to see Butt leave the club, also it has to be a priority to remove Geremi from the wage bill. We would then be in a position to more then cover the loss in revenue from being relegated (£25-£30m drop in wages plus 25m-30m in transfer fee's) Thing is them wanting to stay and being able to stay is the problem, if Everton do sell Lesscott hen I reckon Moyes will bid for Taylor, if we get a half decent bid for Smith Ashley will take it. Jonas, Colo and Jose will all jump at the chance to leave if one comes up, all this will happen if Ashley keeps the club he gets money in and lowers the wage bill, ideal for him. If he keeps the club his only aim will to go back up, that's the only way he can get his money back. If we're still in the Championship next year we'll be worth even less then we are now. He's not going to spend big money obviously but I don't believe he'll sell anyone we get a decent offer for either. We were going to get into the top 6 by sticking with Kinnear, selling Given & N'Zogbia and bringing in Nolan & Taylor Aye. The bloke is completely delusional. I wonder if anyone is telling him this kind of thing or whether he's just surrounded himself with yes men. No doubt what Kinnear was telling him. I can't see O'bleary telling him he can sell everyone and still get promotion. He might be a crappyish manager but he's not insane. He'll fail the interview then wont he. I can only assume O'Bleary has agreed to the job under any condition (being a desperate useless t***) otherwise Curbishley would be a much better choice. Curbishley won't come here as things stand. I know that for a fact.
  12. I'd rather not as he's a bit of a cunt and doesn't have anywhere near the sort of wedge required. But, him or Ashley is a no brainer.
  13. They don't give a toss mate. Aye - I guess. Unless of course they know that their days are numbered. We can only live in hope. This and Kinnear's 'the reason I didn't get the job.......' today are the only things I'm clinging on to in all honesty.
  14. Unless of course they couldn't give a toss?
  15. I had an awful premonition that Bryan Robson would be our new manager.
  16. It's a shame he didn't get it, as I would have looked forward to his heart exploding in the dug out. In fact, it would have almost certainly have been the highlight of next season. Get f*cked Joe, you shambolic, bull-shitting, greasy-haired tramp.
  17. Curbishley wouldn't come here in the club's current state. I know this for a fact.
  18. That's the problem for me......I'm inclined to believe both you and your source, but wouldn't believe a word that slimy c*** says. If his (DL) words are all we have to go on, it isn't going to happen.
  19. Indeed, especially if the initial stuff has come from Llambias.
  20. Very very sad news, am so glad he got to go his game the other night. RIP Sir Bobby.
  21. I heard tonight that Ashley has had several bids for the club but won't even listen to them, and has been out of contact for a week or so. Apparently he wants £100m up front, and the £100m paying back if and when we returnn to the Premiership. The club also has a nigh on £60m overdraft too. He has been advised by Seymour Pierce to sell but won't listen.......apparently they are on the verge of telling him to do one, as it is damaging their credibility. As depressing as it all is, my source is very trustworthy.
