We did do the Sportsman, last year. It was half betting and half sports news, but sales were shit, and it folded within a few months. Theres basically not enough sports news per day to make people want to buy it, and to stop buying the sun/mirror etc for their sports news. Plus the starting price would have to be about a pound ( like the Sportsman was), cos no advertisers would pay the same ammount for a paper with no proven circulation.

Pattison hasn't really been involved but when he has had the ball he hasn't been that bad. Certainly not the worst player on the pitch. The games just completely passed him by. I cannot remember a single positive thing he has done. At least Troisi's been looking for it and trying to get involved.

Does he play in midfield too? Can't say i've seen him there before.

Oh yeah, and Pattison STILL looks the worst player on the pitch, even with more kids on there. Carrolls won a fair few headers - we have been pumping quite a lot of balls up to him.

Been a pretty shite game so far. Highlight is probably Martins being kicked in the gob. Troisi's scissor kick effort wasn't too bad either, but thats it really. Martins has been quite selfish, not had a decent strike yet. Edgar looks our best defender, Huntington looks better at RB & Lough can actually kick it with his left foot.

The reason i'd prefer Smith over Gudjohnson given the choice is simply, we have enough strikers at the club, and Smith can play as a midfielder. Reckon he'd give it his all, and along with Barton and Geremi, we'd have a fair bit of bite on the middle of the field.
