2014/15 NUFC Kits - New third kit revealed on page 143
Kanj replied to bowlingcrofty's topic in Football
http://www.footballshirtculture.com/images/psv-2013-nike-centenary-away-football-shirt-a.jpg This kit model, with our simple black & white stripes. With a black collar (blue trim on edge) or white collar (black trim on edge) would be the best kit we'd ever have had since the Granddad collar days. The collar and buttons part would probably look class as a contrast to whatever the center stripe is.... Would be the best if it was Nike (I know we have a long term deal with Puma), but hell, can anyone just slap a Puma logo on it so a man could dream? -
Button down collar...fuck off Nike.

He's probably one of the most likeable chaps we have. He not only says the right things but he gives 100% every time out there. Problem is that his 100% isn't enough. Like I said, happy for him to come off the bench to shore us up and help out when we need him. He plays perfectly standard and OK in the first 10-20 minutes of a match. He keeps the ball, passes it. Levels in a random cross or 3 that are either crap or almost decent and gets us a free kick or 2.

Buzza, you on a wind up man?

I like collars on kits. I actually really like our home kit's collar - something class about it. -
I'd start Obertan over Jonas
-
I'm just hoping we see a debut from Mapou ahead of Saylor. But I'm hoping more that Jonas does not start.
-
Dude can't even trap the ball properly!
-
Looked at it a few more times last night and this morning - soft pen. Gabby made a meal of it as well. Something that is sadly "part of the game" as commentators and pundits say. Played football my entire life - that was some theatrical shit by Gabby man.
-
Just as long as Jonas is on the bench, and the players aussiemag has listed above start - I'm okay with that.

Colo DM? buzza lad, prepare yourself

I think Ashley and the Board planned for Pardew and his staff to be the removable cog in this. All reports say his 8 year contract can be terminated with a year or 2 of severance. The scouting system is completely handled by Carr with the manager's thumbs up to what is probably a list of players. Me personally, I really really want to like him and have him develop into a man like Moyes who has Everton in and about European places every season now. Not sure he'll get there. The passion and bravado he had last season was one of the reasons, and if I'm to believe what is said about his man management behind the scenes, the players really do seem to like the bloke. But this season has been a right mess and I'm leaning on the side that believes he isn't the man to take us into a top 5-7 side each year. Safety first though this season, and then I'll welcome talk of the future.

This news man, irritating stuff. By the time he's back, HBA will be.

Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Mbiwa, Sissoko and Debuchy for less than 25m. Those 5 are all full internationals. Debuchy and Cabaye are first choice at the moment and the other 3 should/could be back in swing. Its Insane man! Same man, I'll say Colo, Cabaye, Cisse, Ben Arfa but now you add the new lads - I can't ever choose.

Just saw that interview on the official site - his english is coming on very well! Excellent to see. Just can't stop harping about this guy's fantastic attitude and positivity. Really love to see that at this club. In terms of his finishing and composure - the lack of chances he's had this season + the Ba issue + the overall team playing like shit has all added to his lack of composure as the pressure sort of mounted on him and he wasn't able to flourish in it. In terms of the Reading match, he took that header brilliantly and it was saved brilliantly. The shot from the Debuchy cross was not his best hit but again, the keeper did very well again. Somebody mentioned a page before that he's always been making those runs, its that he doesn't get the ball/gets the ball a second too late and he's offside. Yesterday was evidence of a man who made the run BUT was found perfectly by Moussa with right weight and then Cisse composed himself and scored. I always felt the chances that required him to take a touch or 2 were ones he'd miss as he seems like a man who loves to take shots first time - but he bagged this one and he'll score more as long as we give him a chance. Was that his only real cut and dry chance yesterday? I remember 1 "offside" from the Moussa over the top ball and I also remember him nearly connecting with a classic Cisse volley off that Santon saved shot from the keeper if not for great defending.

Can't stomach this USA game after our cardiac second half today.
-
Cisse's attitude is fantastic. What a guy. Also, I've always thought Rob Scanlan was class
-
He played like he did last season where he saved us from a tie, loss and more. He's a match winner when on and he was on tonight. Superb keeping.
-
Quite anxious to see how we'll line up with him back. Him protecting the back 4 with Sissoko and Cabaye deployed in front of him could be mouth watering if he just sticks to basics, snuffs out attacks - gives us his fight and doesn't try to go crazy with his passing.
-
I really like the man himself, a fantastic positive character. As a footballer, he's lost everything that made him good. Happy for him to come off the bench in the final 10-15 minutes but other than that....
-
Miss the days when we'd bring on Lua Lua from the bench and he'd run people ragged b/c he was tricky and quick.

In all seriousness, we need a real look at much better fitness & conditioning coaches.
