They were yes. However, in the last 5 years he's lost the likes of Lehman, Campbell, Lauren, Cole, Bergkamp, Henry, Pires, Ljungberg and Vieira. Who were all vastly experienced players, with that winning mentality. Ferguson's a master of keeping that mentality in his teams, something which Wenger has failed to do since they last won a trophy. (Which has coincided with Bergkamp retiring) Then again, look at what he managed to do to with Arsenal after they got hammered 6-2 at Old Trafford with the likes of Stepanovs playing. He's not been able to replace the "decling" leaders with new gems of talent who shoulder the responsibility, and you're 100% right. So is it the fact that WENGER won't sign new players and his complex wage structure or is the Board being tight behind the scenes? All accounts is Wenger, no?

Don't know if Wenger himself had got it wrong, the late departures of Cesc and Nasri has absolutely destroyed his team and his plans. His teams were built around these 2 right?
-
Haris needs to be on the bench from now on, he showed in his appearance last night some real vision, direct play, eye for the goal and is a real threat in open play.
-
They just assume Sammy is an idiot and doesn't know what he's doing? Give me a break...

Needs to bulk up a bit throughout the course of the year, but hes a talent. brilliant goal.

Puts some other teams to shame who use "models"

http://jdsjerseys.files.wordpress.com/2011/01/newcastlehssboys0708.gif Does this count? Hated this kit, hated some of the heartless players that played in it, and oh you know - that relegation too.

TBF, his accounting and finance practices - when actuallly spelled out are quite prudent and financially responsible. However, I just wish he wasn't such a t!t with our club's finances and actually ran us like other football clubs.

Perfect for Ba to get time on the field and get himself fit.
-
Krul, Colo, Barton, Shola Harps Simmo-STayls-Willo-RTayls Marveux-Tiote-Cab-Jonas Obertan-Ba Would love to see, personally Best for Obertan. Crazy, we have a bit of midfield depth now - sort of confusing who to start.
-
Simmo's crossing deserves a 0- terrible crosser of the ball man.
-
This 100%. its incredibly crucial to our season to shore up a 1st choice LB and a starting striker - no.9, whatever you want to call it. This side has the makings to be strong this season, we HAVE to do this.
-
Haven't you all who have run into him around town also said he's a great lad as well?
-
Great goal. Will be remembered for this forever. Now kindly never play left back for us again.
-
I myself am thinking a Cabaye 4 is on its way...
-
With all his individual skill, Pardew really needs to work with him on confidence - few times he should have just went to goal, but sort of ran without a real purpose.

Got Colback and Elmohammedy the wrong way round there Like it matters there both s***. Hilarious response. Best post of the day.

Him and Marveux on the wings - unleash the pacy b*stards.
-
hey wilshire..shut your trap.
-
if not for a few timely challenges by the arsenal defenders he'd have put at least 2 of our attacks in on goal.
-
cheers to joey barton - glad hes in our colors and playing for the Toon. I don't care to be part of this overreaction brigade.
