There are a few things there I don't agree with (fundamentally) but on the main, very well drilled down and a lot of good, transparent, no sugar coating analysis there. I've said this before, having been on this ride with NUFC since 96, I've seen more bad than good, and prior to Eddie it was a complete dumpster fire. I am perfectly happy slowly building and competing for any of the European places and making great cup runs. I would like the club to start acting that way in terms of communication, etc. You can't put pressure on Eddie to make CL or Europa but not give him a single bit of cash to sign players or don't make the convincing case of moving others on. That's not fair to Eddie and the coaching team.

likely the study returned X results, and the club are going back & forth on questions, revisions etc. that's normal.

Same after the last loss, I’m quite chill about all of this and back him and the club to make correct decisions in January to make a push second half of the season. If they don’t, all involved will need to answer for it. Again, a lot of the player’s he’s trusted to execute simple instructions are failing him. Errant back passes, not tracking a runner, needless fouls in dangerous areas, missing headers etc.

Allergic of hitting the target too.

We are the worst heading team in history

Yeah it's a bit funky really - i was hoping the Willock LCM, Tonali CM, Bruno RCM with Joelinton RW would work too (and maybe it still can) in the mean time. But again, if we're in the major countering and not playing a Liverpool -- Willock as LCM makes a whole lot of sense and as much as it does if we need to break a team down. Maybe you have to play Barnes as RW and get him to do his quick give & go and roam him around the box to find space to create a shot too? To your point much better when we get a starting top quality RW. I also agree that Joelinton is perfect for matches we need his energy, box to box enforcing, etc. He's also a very good dribbler with the ball when he gets a head of steam and want to see him doing that more. If he's afforded space, take the space...just release the ball with more pace (he underhits a lot of passes!)

Never kick Nick, find a way to throw it.

Again, he supported it in the summer. Sure. But he also came out and said he'd relook at the entire thing. He also said for that specific window it would be mad to not support the work already done. How is that hard to comprehend?
-
You did. He point blank said that is the long term ambition.
-
Right, but that was the summer.

X star player has a great game - press or N-O assume they will go or respond to a dodgy link on X and then cue people ushering them out the door.

for this season at least, this where I'd rotate Willock/Joelinton situationally based on the opposition. If we are in need of breaking a team down, then you play Willock. If we are playing a bit of 50/50 game then you play Joelinton, leaning towards either based on fitness and overall game plan. Eventually getting someone who is the next version of Cunha or Szob to play that LCM role with ball carrying, engine, and ball playing/attacking threat would be ideal.

You should watch the full interview then.

highly doubt Mitchell would support Elanga given the price required to sign him.
-
nah, Hall has been our best player this season.

Alex playing like he did v Liverpool hopefully becomes the standard by which he sets for himself, flying all over the attacking end of the pitch and taking the match over. First time I’ve seen him just mentally say “I’ve got this” and he was absolutely everywhere. All action total centre forward performance. Watching the match back I’d argue it’s been ages since I’ve seen someone do that to Liverpool and for it to be our main man felt very special.
-
oh ya, 100%. I’ll have a sigh of relief that our main backup CB/LB will be Burn at some point over Kelly. Hell we could go a back 3 with Hall and Tino as wingbacks if needed too.
-
What’s mad is Burn has been very very good.
