Why did the club shop throw the black socks on the mannequins?! They know the white socks are official. That’s just bad on their part to force selling something. New PL kit fonts are massive, Jesus.
-
I ordered one for me and the little guy today so it worked out.
-
yeah it’s officially white socks, just appears online to be mislabeled and should be the alternative socks. I really do like that we are selling white shorts too. May pick up a pair to have.
-
his goal was struck as clean as you just referenced! Ha.
-
Mate, I was not that way until yesterday. There’s just something about the way he glides about the pitch. And that’s no slight on Maddison who I’d be over the moon if we sign. (Fucking sign both!)
-
I read that the entire RB model relies on the player trading and (yes big fees) they have to be simple to deal with on both ends to make sure the model works. Re: Szo, he’s such an elegant and technical player. Looks pacy, direct, very creative and his confidence is second to none. He’s my #1 choice for a RW / AM option tbh. Give him the ability to link with Trippier and Bruno. Ooof. Too clean. He honestly seems good enough to play as an attacking 8 as well as 10 and on both flanks.
-
I’m all in on Szo. He’s an outstanding talent.
-
The Sosa issue is I think he’s more of a wing back. Now if Trips was hurt, I’d love to see us “shift” the defense if possible to play a defensive RB and play a Sosa or similar as the LB in the way we play Trippier.
-
I’d happily drop 30-40m+ on a proper world class left back. Or one that’s on the cusp of that. I’d spend 30m on Gaya at Valencia.
-
And for the record I don’t want to send 30m to arsenal for their left back with a laundry list of injuries for them to then go and use the 30m to fund a purchase of someone to improve their team. No thank you.

we were linked with sosa in the summer

It's completely written and made for the merchandising arm but i have to assume NFL and NBA jersey sales are pretty consistently high each year. In any case, feel like there needs to be a code between fans + club that shirt makers need to abide by ... like don't fuck with the traditional kit look, ie: the clubs need to promise to the fans that they'll MAKE the kit maker have the "standard" shirt design as agreed upon by the fans ie, for us its black & white stripes. No spikes, no blue weird pannels on them etc. The shirt will look generally like X and if there are variances, the fans must be consulted. Away maybe have 4-5 different color looks that are agreed upon by the fans too and then finally the third kits are up to the kit makers and club themselves with no restrictions. I'd be LIVID if we got the MIlan kit in black & white. Im sure everybody here would feel the same.

^^ I hope there won't be any bans on related party sponsorships; I certainly don't see it happen for a million reasons but I never in a million years thought they'd come up with a "fair maket value" test on all deals until they just popped that out and a group of people determine what is market and what you're "allowed" to have. We just need to keep our watchful eye on this shit
-
We should all be very cautious over these Delaney and Panja articles / tweets. There’s clearly something going on behind the scenes as they were briefed on this by likely Liverpool and Spurs. The entire associated party thing will come into question (banning it entirely) and I’d bet money the reason it’s taken so long for us to announce new deals is not only due to where we finish in the league, but the red tape put up after the takeover on commercial deals. Idk what will happen but I’m braced for opposition. I’m actually becoming quite open to the idea of Man United being acquired by Middle Eastern money. It would be another voice in opposition of Liverpool and Spurs. I suspect Chelsea is probably more an opposition to the those two going forward.
-
It’s called an allocation. It can be a separate budget line item in the whole pot. The original suggestion is totally fine.
-
Toney was never becoming what he is today without leaving us for good.
-
Take him back as a squad player on a super cheap wage

No, it coincided with Longstaff getting injured too. I have no doubt that if Longstaff was fit the rest of the season + Willock we'd have seen the Big Joe/Little Joe left side.
-
Would not be surprised seeing us lineup like this: Joelinton - Isak - Szo/Maddison/new winger Willock - Bruno - Longstaff/new CM Burn/new LB - Botman - Schar - Trippier Pope I think the Joelinton/Willock left side combo is still one of his preferred tactical moves as in defense the two of them can cover literally 1/2 a pitch and then one or the other breaks forward from deep. Joelinton's ability to jump on Schar's long through balls is likely going to get further use too.
-
Fab is one of the more intelligent players we have as well by all accounts. Those are incredible quotes. I think Fab is absolutely first class and long may his partnership with Botman continue.
-
After the Leicester game he had his arm around Isak and he was gesturing about his dribbling and as Maxi began listening he told both of them something like keep doing that, you two are unstoppable on the dribble and then kept talking to them about whatever. I'm not even going to question ANY older heads given more time here at the club; it's all intentional and Howe will have thought deeply on it with the coaching staff and had a word with Ashworth, et al.
-
I honestly don’t give a shit about the money aspect at the end of the day. Players have their worth based on pitch performance, consistency and results back the compensation. Tielemans doesn’t control games. He doesn’t set the tempo (anymore). He doesn’t take over games. He’s a good player when you’re doing well. He doesn’t drag a team up or improve them in immeasurable ways. He’s not our Bruno. He’s not our Joelinton.
