Shame on us for turning on Kinnear, Pardew, Carver, McClaren and Bruce.
-
One of the most important managers in the last...100 years? hahahahahhahahahahahahah
-
Generally always had 1 good one and 1 decent one. It's been turbo shit recently. If only Willems kept fit and we signed him permanently. He'd have been good to go for now. I hope we sign some real quality fullbacks / wingbacks Jan 1.
-
Wonder if we will go the route of having a Technical Director and a Director of Football - similar to how City, PSG do it.
-
I think if they spent big on basically 1 CB, 1 CM, 1 winger/attacker, and 2 fullbacks (+shifted some dead weight) we'd be in a very good position under new manager in January.
-
If we hired Fonseca, a cheeky bid for Lanzini would be smart IMO. Think he's exactly the type of intelligent/technical player you'd want in midfield.
-
My guess is he’d have Schar play central in a back 3 so he could push up and attack a bit. Fede could probably play one side and he may either use Hayden, Dummett or Clark as the other until he can upgrade. (Both spots) 2 new wingbacks definitely happening too.

Christ, didn't know you were back man. Need to catch up mate!

Lazy scouting says sign Spinazolla and Pellegrini

Would absolutely love this guy to be our manager, would also usher in some emphasis on technical players who are comfortable on the ball. He bloody loves his fullbacks too.
-
Give it a rest, everyone ffs.

Even before Jamie Rueben mentioned in an interview that Yasir is a massive sports fan, read somewhere else that it was very much something he championed (this club), but further investments by PIF into McLaren and Aramco sponsorships in sports across the world. He absolutely bloody loves golf and if he's a football fan, this will be something he probably does get personally involved with more than people realize (despite how busy he is).
-
Ton about him posted in the next manager thread too - highly rated football manager replaced only because new ownership wanted star name in Mourinho. @ponsaelius is the resident Serie A expert and could probably give the best detailed accounts. Stuff like he's obsessed with possession, doesn't ever like sitting back and absorbing, wants to go out and play good football and trains his teams to beat other teams by passing, moving, and attacking.
-
Somebody at that event obviously asked him / congratulated him on the purchase of NUFC and you know he obviously had some great things to say and likely what it could be in a few years. Wild to me.

Our chairman flies in from an Aramco golf tourney in New York. Tours his new club for the first time. Get's a standing ovation in front of 52,000 fans. Heads to London to meet the Queen next to Bill Gates. I mean, christ what a change for us.

"Lee, we're going to keep you on, but you're going to basically be our version of Doug Stamper from House of Cards. You'll do our dirty work, be a miserable bastard to everyone and anyone standing in our way and follow our orders to a tee." - Done. "Now go read this statement to the PL and be a miserable cunt" - Done. "Okay, you're fired" - Done.
-
Communication, so refreshing.

Kinda creased at little Lee Charnley going to they premier league meeting and just being a nasty bastard to them.

Hope Ando is right, seems nearly always bang-on.

Even if we were still able to boast a trio of CBs with 1 of Fede/Lascelles/Clark with Schar and Lejeune we’d be fine. Always felt Lascelles looked his best with Lejeune playing next to him.

In news today, Al Hilal has acquired Joelinton, Shelvey, Hendrick, Gayle, Ritchie, Clark, Dummett, Murphy, and Krafth for 350 million and paid the transfer fees up front. Newcastle now have potentially 550 million to spend in January. Should be an exciting Transfer window … good morning again from Sky Sports, its January 2nd, 2022

Rafa tried to sign Ibe too mate.

Love Howe calling Fraser “wee man” I’d be equally happy with all 3. Howe seems such a class and thoughtful manager. Part of me wants a manager who sees this job as an opportunity to do their best work - not a place where they are just here for a year or two or will always point back to older jobs. IDK.
