  1. Liked the white socks option at Old Trafford. Reminds me of the SBR days when we'd wear white socks at Man United to keep our black and white home shirt. Honestly prefer if we wore white shorts and white socks in certain clashing matches to wear the black and white. Again, shame we're owned and managed by cunts though so cant even enjoy it.
  2. Bielsa has turned Bruce over every time? Or am I missing one time we got a result?
  3. I agree @Decky the statement from the club after the window was the moment for me. I’m sure he’s at the end of this tether to the job. Whether that means he’s gone soon or later, I don’t know. But getting worked by Bielsa at home in front of a crowd who’s had a day to drink or had a long day at work wanting some fun for the weekend - he better have his wits about him because it’s going to be nasty. Let’s see how much of a tough guy he is the prick.
  4. Thought the white socks looked good. Like when we do that away from Home when we still wear the black and white. Reminds me of the SBR days. If only the club was worth supporting.
  5. the club promoter who’s about to be The new ceo of Fraser’s and who’s actually done a brilliant job of turning their company around and modernizing the model a bit (just looking at earnings and info read in press). I’d take him over Ma and LC!
  6. He’s not a good manager though so why even bring up what a good one would do?
  7. They were bad mistakes. Hate Bruce but that was poor by Woodman. Again the club is rotten etc.
  8. Boy gets his chance and I’ve really yet to see him make some real top saves this season. Mind you we are are shit and all that.

    Joe Willock

The entire squad looks more or less shit.
  10. Anyway I’m expecting a complete lay down job by our players today.
  11. the problem with the 5-4-1 is that it will be even worse than the 5-3-2 because our focal point striker will be completely unable to hold the ball. It’ll be isolated madness. If it’s 4-2-3-1 then I’m good with that too. Hayden and Longstaff in the 2. Willock as the 10. Maxi and Almiron wide. Joelinton up top. It’s not great but it’s better. I guess with that 4-2-3-1 and 4-4-2 diamond you’d have the same players out there and be able to adjust.
  12. He’s taking the piss. Literally happens all over the sports world.
  13. Play a 4-4-2 diamond imo. ASM and Joelinton wide strikers. Almiron as the #10. Willock, Longstaff as CM, and Hayden if fit at DM. Manquillo and Lewis fullbacks. Fede/Lascelles and Schar.
  14. Couldn't agree more @HaydnNUFC Finding myself only really focused on the match itself and not getting too bothered or caught up in anything else before or after. A good and likable manager would easily make me care a little more (like the Rafa era).
  15. Was the time i was able to truly watch matches over here in the US and the real love affair kicked off. Those years with Sir Bobby leading the club are truly the first I think of when I think of NUFC. We were one of the top clubs in England, a top 20 in Europe. World Class manager, #9, a brilliantly talented team with some real stars in Robert, Bellamy, Speed, Solano, Dyer...ugh. We always seemed to duke it out (win or loss) against Man Utd under Sir Bobby too. Now look at us.
  16. Rondon was strongly linked with a move to Chelsea in summer 2018 but that didn’t materialize and he ended up joining us. Dont know if that rumor was crap or not, mind you. If Rafa stayed, that Newcastle team would have had some worthy upgrades (if Rafa could have used the money as he saw fit) and we’d be an established top 8 side. Maybe even in Europe via Europa league. Likely will brand new wing backs, new CM partner for Longstaff.

Gary Caldwell has stepped down. “Planned” apparently.
  18. Anthony Taylor claims to be a fan of Altrincham. Yeah ok.

    Really like Lingard a ton
  20. Love Rondon. Hope he does very well there.
  21. Just think everyone needs to stop getting so bent out of shape over who / what tweets or writes articles that are winding you up. A good sign you need to take a step back. I did. It’s helped me greatly.
  22. Give me Shepherd any day of the week. For nearly all of his faults he was a fan, he profited off the club massively, and his conduct during his time was not good, and he was the prick who sacked Sir Bobby…. But the bloke would have absolutely been able to get it right when the tv money poured in, or he would have figured out a way to monetize at the right time.
