Any analysis if this is good?
-
if it's someone in a job we've been linked with - Emery - think he's a world class and elite coach. If it's a jobless one, then the front-runner in Fonseca for me.
-
If it's what I saw, it appeared she was feeling hot (i think the commentator even said something about it)
-
Aye, and not just simply train for 2-3 days a week!
-
Kind of an epic window tbh, that was a wild week. I'd kill to have Gouffran in the team right now we are so shit sometimes. He's far more effective than Joelinton. FFS!

I know our facilities are pure trash, but if we had a competently run club free of intervention from an owner who actively wanted us to finish 1 place above the drop zone and were able to sign players for actual money and not for free or cheap, or had a full staff that could support them, even if they had to do rehab work off-site (and not alone), or had nutritional plans drawn up for them (Rafa did), we'd be more than fine but we wouldn't be attracting blue chip players long-term or near-term without a definitive "hey, our facilities are bad, we are making X accommodations for you and the squad to get everything you need to be successful and we'll support anything else you need, but we'll keep improving these until we build a new one" But to say that the facilities would hinder staying up full stop is kind of a wild statement.

Did someone really try to use history of Mike Ashley's transfer windows and apply that to our upcoming one in January?

Simple, black and white stripes for the home kit please. More 95-97 vibes where its equally black / white - get creative with some collar styles or grand-dad collar or maybe the piping but we need to just simply stick to that. I don't like it when it becomes predominately black or predominately white.

During 14 years of MA ownership we deal with talking about his ownership. We spent 4 of those years very recently dealing with constant sale speculation, of those 4 years - 2 of which with PIF/PCP/RB and out of nowhere we get sold a few weeks ago. And here we are still talking about ownership
-
Fine with that too, although I'd consider Longstaff over Hayden because just don't think Hayden offers anything going foward.
-
Would like to see this formation: Dubravka Manquillo Schar Fede Lewis Hayden Willock Longstaff Miggy Wilson Maxi

Yeah, anybody who tries to use those type of investments needs to frame the argument better. If there was some materiality to those investments - then maybe those public companies would engage into some dialogue of sorts but given they are large dollar low % investments, I assume they didn’t. It is quite something though if Palace and Man United’s ownership either took legit placed capital in prior companies or current club’s commercial income via a source they are actively lobbying against in the PL. while it’s not surprise to me, it’s really wild how co mingled this shit is - I wouldn’t doubt many of the Pl owners have invested in and with folks with dodgy links that their fans wouldn’t like…. But there are no friends in business when it relates to sport. It’s quite sickening in that it just seems heavily predatory and bent. But ho hum, right?

2-2 draw or 3-2 win for us. Absolute shock of a performance where Chelsea are equally as bad as we are roared on by the home support free of Bruce.

The fact training 5 days in a row is news worthy is an indictment in its own right. in real football clubs “days off” = rehab, gym work, tactical analysis.

Wasn’t just a simple equity investment via broker / dealer or buying it on the open market. It was a specific investment into a purpose fund. 20 billion into a 40 billion fund.Likely BX went out and actively sought out PIF investment if it wasn’t mutual search. it’s not apples to apples at all though given one is a fund with a specific purpose and the other is one where PIF invested into those public companies on the open market.

Respond with a stone cold stunner

If he is hated so much and he’s having all this abuse but kept on with the job why can’t anybody outside of say Craig Hope just call it for what it was? he stuck around for the pay day. That’s it. Just be up front about it. Absolute morons in the press trying to find ways to defend a guy who barely won a quarter of his matches and won fuck all. Ohhh what an achievement!

So as far as every person on here who knows or is from Saudi - the dressing in the Saudi garb was amusing, endearing and in good fun. It’s also been ok’d by the ownership. Does wearing such attire make you accepting of any and all that goes on Saudi? That’s what it seems like I keep reading here and online so this is a genuine question.

Nothing sadder than a banner trying to clown an away team rather than a banner supporting your own team. nothing fair about the banner, it’s quite lame tbh.

The entirety of the riches of the league is basically pinned to massive tv contracts. It’s become a globalized game tailored to people abroad while it appears you guys locally get shafted. I guess I’m trying to say I think it’s unfair for you guys in England to miss matches (legally) via tv if you can’t attend a match in the stadium home or away.
-
Every PL match is available for us. You either get the handful of matches that are on the NBC family of channels or you get all of them by paying extra for NBC’s peacock tv streaming service. re: NFL, you get something like 5-6 games a week with local tv and ESPN. You can pay extra for NFL REDZone which is a studio hosted show where they just run through every game and cut in and out when there’s big plays or teams are officially in the red zone. You can also pay for Sunday ticket that gives you every out of market game. our blackout rules for NFL are as simple as if a home team hasn’t sold out, then within a defined radius (for Tampa it was something like 60-80 miles) the local coverage is blacked out. But if you’re outside the radius, they don’t expect you to have to deal with that. so my point with football blackouts are that if it’s televised, and the match is away from home - really think it’s unfair to black out if an allocation is limited and sold out. It’d make more sense if they only applied it to home matches and fans within a radius of the stadium. but seems like we’ve got some strong opposers to it.

As I was reminded before. 2 wins and we jump out of the zone rather quickly. It’s really that simple.
